At last.....clarity and honesty combicombined...a friend of mine put me off the salt water hobby when he bought all the mega expensive Gubbins....and an osmosis thingmy....he does have the best light tho, because of the coral he keeps. He's got a sump ....his aquarium looks beautiful....but I think I'll stick to my freshwater for the time being....thanQ, and of course I've subscribed. 👍
Great video. I also worked in aquatics for years and indeed I have lost track of the number of people who had no idea what the difference was between freshwater and saltwater fish. You can have all the money in the world for fish/sea creatures… but I assure you that will get you nowhere in this hobby without at least knowledge of the nitrogen cycle and the ocean ecosystem as a whole. Super important to educate newcomers to keep this hobby alive.
Great video for those who are a bit hesitant to build their first clownfish tank. I've been an avid follower of this channel and my first nano reef tank has been a success and has been running for a year now, complete with clownfish, macro algae and many more organisms.
I appreciate this video! Some of these people on yours will scare you aware from the hobby because they make things more complicated than they should be! They say you MUST have $1000 dollars worth of extra equipment lol
Great video. I think everyone gets stuck with the thought, if I don't have xyz I am not doing it right. I always recommend using the equipment you already have. (If you're coming from fresh water, you have most of the equipment you need. Maybe upgrade the light if your keeping corals.) But people forget, you do not have to have everything all at once. The price for this hobby really is getting out of control, with everyone and their huge list of required equipment. It really is starting to price people out of the hobby. A glass box should not cost hundreds of dollars, for a standard size tank, but people keep paying so the major companies keep on charging a fortune for such things.
Good video thanks, I've kept freshwater fish for years and am going to be settling up my first saltwater aquarium in the next few weeks, and I'm going to be using a Fluval 407 for filtration. Should be an interesting series keep up the good work 👏
I'll make sure to have something covering the tank as I bought a 33 gallon tank (around 130 liters approximatively). And my light is blue as I'll probably put easy corals in a year after it's set up. I have a fluval 206 so I'll get a wave maker. And I also plan mixing it myself because of the volume I have. But the RO/DI system is what will be the most expensive so I might start with tap water. I'll need live rocks, crushed corals, water test and food (other than frozen brine shrimps). I also need 2 buckets for water changes and another python for that.
Hello I hope you enjoy my video about keeping clownfish! There are many ways to keep saltwater fish and this is just showing you one way of doing it. Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!
I just got a water box 20 with stand, intank chambers, a skimmer, and a reefbreeders light for 350$. I’m ready to set it up and gonna get 2 of these guys
Since you suggested we watch other videos those other videos would never tell you that a clown fish should only go on a 90 gallon tank. That's crazy big for a clownfish. 20 gallon and you can still add 2.

Thanks, absolutely true.
Can i change the water with pure sea water whenever I clean my aquarium tank?
Another great video, straight talk. No aquarium snobbery here. 👍
Thanks. Glad you liked it

This video was exactly what all informative videos should be like. 10/10

The tank he showed was 90 litres, not gallons
he’s from the UK so he meant liters. he also said it lol
Can i change the water with pure sea water whenever i clean my aquarium tank?
I need this tutorials 😊
Man I wish I see your video like 6 months ago, when I started my journey on the salt water hobbie, I spend just to start like $900 dollars
i keep my clowns with macro algae 🥹
fluval plant led & no cleanup crew (besides pods, bristleworms, worms, etc)
maybe i DO have a cleanup crew lol
skimmer might not be needed
but surface agitation/airstone helps TONS keeping the film off the top of the water
How many fish can you keep in a 90L tank?
you must have Arctic clown fish 🐟 ❄️ l ⛄️ lol🤣🤣🤣
He means Centigrate
Is 10 gallons fine ???
don’t need a skimmer but they could probably use a little jacket
happy but cold 🥶 🤣🤣🤣
He means Centigrate
especially hard when you keep your aquarium 26° cold 🥶
He means Centigrate
i keep my mixed reef aquarium 78
26 cold 🥶
Centigrade
ok 👌 🤣🤣🤣 sorry as Americans don’t get centigrade🥶🥶🥶❄️🤣🤣🤣
He means Centrigrate
Salwater fish are not hard to keep. Just research and it's just s easy ad freshwater.
