- Bajaj CNG motorcycle - Freedom 125 - has finally gone on sale in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000 whereas the top-end Disc brake + LED light version costs Rs 1.10 lacs (ex-showroom). What makes it unique is the fact that it gets a 2KG CNG tank beneath the seat and a 2-litre petrol fuel tank. cumulatively, both offer a range of 330Km (realistic range). On CNG alone, it offers over 108kmpl thus making it the most fuel efficient motorcycle on sale in India right now. Hope you enjoy this video.

I think the petrol capacity is too low, it should be around 4L (new Scotty capacity).
I don't think it's gonna sale in high volume, concept is excellent but sad reality availability of CNG pump and price (already 88, petrol 104, only 16 rupees difference)

Petrol tank should be of m8n 5 litre because even getting cng from a pump in the city is a struggle for hours. Since this a first of its kind future variant will come with more innovations. Anyways good initiative from bajaj.

Other commuter bike even offers 400+ ride range in a full tank....I think cng + petrol tank should have a bit more capacity to get atleast 550+ ride range... however, it's a good initiative by Bajaj...Jai Hind🇮🇳
Those who have the commuter bikes don't really fill the tank to the brim, they only fill based on their daily need, mostly around 200 rupees every once in a while, sometimes even less than that.
So tank range is not really a concern, only concern is long line at cng station, continuously thinning price difference between patrol and CNG.

In Cars and Autorickshaws usually CNG cylinder stays under a shade far way from the roof of the vehicle but in bike it is just below the seat. Will the cylinder be able to resist the new heat temperatures ?

Hi, I understand that the CNG bike is safe and reliable straight from the company, but what about maintenance and servicing after a certain period? Is there a risk of it becoming unsafe if a technician at a service center makes a mistake during maintenance, especially if they aren't officially trained to work on CNG bikes?
CNG evolution is fine, but if the CNG tank fails what's the cost of new CNG tank if replacement occurs in future?

Only 2 lit petrol tank will be a deal breaker for most people. At least 5 lit petrol tank would have made sense. Also rear disc and ABS would have added more value considering they now give ABS in the Platina.
3kg CNG and atleast 6Ltr Fuel tank should be there for success of this concept at present.
