    First of all, this was a beautiful piece to begin with but this painting technique blew this furniture off the charts! So beautiful and great info as well! I may try this on a small piece just to get the hang of it Thanks!

    Awesome level of detail. I’m planning to do this on walls in a very big room because it desperately needs texture. The step-by-step on mixing and tools is better than any video I have seen. Thx!!

    I am going to try this. I’m curious about the taping off. How long do wait until you put the tape on the newly painted portion in order to do the area where the tape was?

    Fabulous video and workmanship! I'm thinking about doing my dining table top black and then do the apron (is that what it's called??) and pedestals with this technique using white and black. My dishes are white. How do you think that would look?

      @SteelBirchStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh thank you so much 🤍 I think that would look amazing! I’d recommend trying on some scrap wood or a small piece first to see how the colors look and to practice the technique! Thanks for following along ☺️

    I've seen you use a roller to apply paint for this technique. What was your reason to switch it up and brush it on this time? I'm looking forward to trying this method myself. Thanks for the video!

    • @SteelBirchStudios
      @SteelBirchStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course! ☺️ I think I just wanted to switch it up and use some newer brushes. A roller is probably easier on the sides and top, but either works! Excited for you to try out the technique! 🙌

    You did a great job on all of the furniture.
    I did this glazing technique on my walls and many pieces of furniture way back when.
    I still have the special brushes and rollers to make the striations to make it look like fabric.
    I think I even have some of the bottles of glaze I used to use. I throw nothing away.

    Hello!! Thank you for sharing, and inspiring as always! For those of us that take a while to refinish, what are your tips for items left in warehouses/ garages for a few months while working at the project. I’m recently worried about infestation of creepy crawlers now that my piece is stripped while I figure what finish is like to use and finish hand sanding. I do a deep clean before but also should include some type of treatment to the bottom/backing of the pieces? Thanks!

    You are so wonderful for sharing your process. Truelly , it’s very kind of you to do that. I’m shy to trying something I’m not fully confident with, due to the techniques. This takes away the guess work, as I’m sure you went through when you first came upon this unique design. 😊❤🎉

      Aw thanks so much!! You definitely should try it out ☺️ And you can use chalk paint! I’ve used it on several pieces, as long as it’s mixed with glaze it will have a longer dry time. I recommend testing your blends out on a sample board or small piece first! 🤍
