    Thank you for this video it got way more into detail than I was expecting. I just bought my first xj600II and never have done any work on a motorcycle before.

    Caution!! A good tip is to cover the air box intake with small aperture wire mesh (< 1 cm mesh) to stop mice entering. Some mice made a nest in the air filter in my Diversion, unnoticed because of the tank. The bike was laid up so was some time before I discovered the damage and I am still trying to fix it. Imagine what they produced over the years and where it went with all those breather tubes and the carbs down hill . . . . . . . . !! 'YUK' does not cover it.

    While the music is nice. I wish you would talk through the video, so we could hear your thoughts and impressions. Sizes of bolts etc. is a time saver and sometimes the lighting was not great.
    Real time is not a bad thing if its learning time. Thanks.

    You say "don't forget to close the fuel valve" , but this is a vaccum operated petcock : only opens when engine is turning, unless it is in the "prime" position wich you tought was the "closed position". This is used to prime the carbs with fuel. eg. when you clean them or purge them.

      I don't know. I am not a qualified mechanic and would not like to give advice. I recommend you check your owner's manual.

      The best performing oils tend to be synthetic and are typically in the low viscosity range. However most all bikes have wet clutches in which engine and crankcase use the same oil as such use half-synthetic type oils or mineral based oils (thicker) otherwise clutch slipping may occur.

      Find It Fix It Hey man if you can even just get a video of them on the bike with the airbox and tank off it would be enough. I can get the carbs themselves back together, that's not the problem. I can't figure out the cable linkage and bracket mounting.

    • @hosuandreiremus
      @hosuandreiremus  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will try and get that in the next week or so. I am currently having an issue with the throttle and I think it is coming from the cable linkage.
