I have that exact bottling and I asked Glenallachie about the casks. This is what they replied "Pedro Ximinez, Oloroso & Virgin Oak casks (mix of full maturation and finish from Ex Bourbon)". I think the 15-Y is the best. Especially if you consider the price. Though they are all great
Nice one, and a solid mark, too. I had an older bottle of this (before it got sherry-sauced) and actually thought it was ok for the money. Now I'm very curious to try and find this new version to compare...
Probably gonna grab the 12 I saw at the store next time I’m there. Haven’t seen 18 but probably won’t pull the trigger, I’ve spent my pricey bottle budget for the next few months at least 😆 but I got a couple nice compass boxes, Ardbeg twentysomething, glenmo tale of winter, couple glendro’s u know how we do 🥃
It's always a little funny to me when Americans/Canadians read some Scottish names, GlenAllackie, Glenfiddick :D Anyway, great video as always Rob, and a decent whisky as well although I think I like the GlenDronack 18 a bit more :P
Do a comparison of glenallachie 18 vs Glendronach 18 (Billy’s) 🙏🏻
All out of the Billy Glendronach 18

They are all great for sure.
Good review Rob ! Good whisky ! Cheers
Nice review, Rob. I'll have to find one of these, and put it alongside my other GA's. Cheers!
Amy year better than others? Have you noticed batch inconsistencies?
The first batch was good but this batch is better. Not sure if there’s a newer one.
Great review! Most definitely on my list this one! cheers!
I really appreciate your reviews. Another great run down of a fine dram.
Thanks bud
4:22 Arran 18?
Give me contents. Not sure what you mean.
Nice review Rob, I have an unopened bottle of this in my stash so good to hear your thoughts on it.
Cheers
Wet rocks for sure! Got it on the 12 and 10 cask strength (batch 2)
Distillery characteristic for sure

I love Glenallachie
Haven't been able to get the 18 yr old but I am working on a 10 yr old cask Strength. Damn that's good, Cheers Rob
Perhaps you’ll get a chance to at least try the 18
How does this compare to the 21?
More subtle and easy drinking than the 21 but less overall flavour and depth

I didn't know Jerry Cantrell recorded some background music for your channel ! Cool
Lol
Great review Rob, how would this compare to Arran 18?
Great question. Guess a head to head is in order.
GA 18 vs Arran 18 could be interesting :-)
A great drink
My new favorite distillery.
Up there for me as well
Macallan easter is excellent or not Rob?
🤷🏻♂️
How would you compare this one with others sherries (better or not)? Glendronach 18, Glengoyne 18, Aberlour 18...
I would say this is the best of the ones you mentioned.
150cad?? Where? I’m located in Ontario too. Plz let me know
Was available for a few days out west.
@@WhiskyInThe6which store? Thx. Wanna pick one
Nice ! . . . 150 $CAD ? wot a steal . . . LBCO has the 15 for the same 150 ! ! !
Ya solid price I think.

Hahaha ya I’m definitely no Roy when it comes to pronunciation. Cheers buddy.
@@WhiskyInThe6 no bother mate, as long as we understand each other there's nothing to complain about :)
The problem with the older GA expressions is that the 12 year is just so darn good it’s hard to justify spending the extra money for the 15 or 18.
True
Not feeling the acoustic guitar, son.
