Knife making - Hand made pocket knife

- This my my 23th hand made pocket knife. I finally got my new bench grinder. about 3HP. I really enjoy it and am looking forward to getting descent at free hand grinding! Furthermore, I made a lapping tool, so I can now make bushings. In the past I have sometimes peened the liners so tight that the action of the blade when going from locked to open was compromised. Now the walk and talk are getting better!

Very impressive, especially considering the amount of hand tools and work involved, versus machinery.

@@Inmyshed You're welcome! Hard part for me right now is time. It will get better soon.
Hurray! The previos belt grinder not quiete fits to the knifemaking craf, but the new one does. Keep on creating, the progress is awesome!
Beautiful knife well done
Agreed! Its a dream to use the new one! Thank you, I sure will!
Thanks!
These are gorgeous. I’ve watched 2 videos and no doubt it’s the same maker. Can these knives be bought. Is there somewhere to go to buy these knives….
Hi! Thank you! Not yet, but I am looking into getting a web page going and start selling some.
Beautiful craftsmanship!
What is the purpose of wrapping the stuff in sheet metal before heat treat? Does that prevent scale or something?
Hi! thanks! It reduces decarburization. I have not tested not using it, and on the forums I read they recommend it.
I want to make one like this for myself. It’s be made if O1, with copper fittings, a pocket clip, and some nice ironwood. O1 patinas in such a pretty way that it would compliment the copper and wood nicely
Hi! I did save the pattern for this one. Do you make knives? Sounds like a nice build!
@@Inmyshed
I want to get into it, I don’t have any space for it but I think I have a solution for it
@edanpino-xt1ph I hope you get starting! It does not need to be a big operation!
@@Inmyshed
I know it doesn’t, I just need to get the materials and some files
You did a great work 🎉do you sell these?
Hi! Thank you! I am making 15 folders right now, and they will be finished in a weeks time. I will post then to my website.
¡Gracias! Se llama archivo de verificación / archivo jimping.
😍👏👏👏👏👏
👍🙂👍
Top job, really nice knife. Only one question, where’s the nail nick for opening?
Hi! The blade shape makes a nail nick redundant. Its so easy to open. I was pondering making one just for esthetics tho. maybe on the next one!
Where is mine it’s beautiful
Hehe, thanks!
Hello, what kind of file are you using for the grooves?
Knurling file.
Hi! Its a checkering/jimping file. I have a link in description for it.
@@TheGunf1ghter Thank you.
Won't the blade dull when closing?
Hi! no. The edge never touches the back spring when locked due to the kicker. Watch from 4:39 and u can see the clearing when closed.
1:18 what kind of file is that? where can you buy one?
Hi! Check out description.
What price in Pakistan
I do not sell knives yet
Good Day...
What's country do You live ???

@@Inmyshed Sank's , Mr ...
Maybe , you'll write me your's e ~ mail post adress...???
It's very nice knife work...
That's freaking awesome work man 👌 would have been rude not to sub 😉
Hi! Thank you so much!
Stabbing is sweet
Will be hard to do with a knife like this😂
Looks more like razor for serial killer.
to be honest, I like this blade shape cuz it is not so threatening. Big pointy knives scares the average joe.
