Yes,,,,,,You are just scratching the surface with this Canadian treasure. May I suggest, :It Hasn't Hit Me Yet" Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor are like the Canadian Lennon/McCartney.
My absolute favourite Blue Rodeo song. Jim Cuddy's vocals are so perfect in this song. He just rips out your heart. Saw him sing it live about 10 years ago and it brought me to 😢 tears. Thanks Harri and Cynthia. More Blue Rodeo 🙏 please. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Blue Rodeo is one of my top bands to listen to, yes I'm Canadian, lots of songs that were common radio play here. One of their songs that is among my favourites, I don't think I ever heard it on the radio, is the song "What is this love", it is a very different song to many of the other BR songs, sung by the other lead singer Greg Keelor and backed up by Sarah McLachlan.
Always loved ' 'Til I Am Myself Again' by them. Saw them in the backroom of a downtown Toronto bar known as a new musical breeding ground in the mid-80s, not long after in a university auditorium, both still with their original lineup.
In the summer, my clock radio is always set to come on at 6:00 a.m. so that i can water the lawn and get some gardening done before it gets too hot. And so when it did so on August 31, 1997, I was jolted awake to the news of Princess Diana's tragic death. That news was followed by this song. So for me, this song is forever about Diana.
Such a great Canadian band! I saw them live in concert once. This is my favourite Blue Rodeo song and I was pretty disappointed they didn’t play it but it was a great show and they have so many other great songs!!
Harri, you are the man for a reactor to listen to one of Canada's great bands, they have so many great songs and a great rabbit hole to go down. Love that you have been exposed to this great song..keep diggin into them they are like "The Hip" (Tragically Hip) institutions here in Canada and great artists to us up here.
Has been one of my favorite bands since they first came out. Seen them twice now. They have a great playlist Try Lost Together. It is a beautiful song.
Great Band Jim Cuddy And Greg Keelor another hidden Canadian gem! both lead vocalists giving the band different sounds which to me makes for a better band....
Ah, I'm so happy to see you listening to Blue Rodeo! They've been around for years, and seeing them perform live is such a treat. Just excellent musicians and some really great songs.
One of Blue Rodeo's more simple songs. The singer, Jim Cuddy, wrote this song for the simple reason to showcase his voice. He changes it up when he sings live and reaches notes that are almost impossible.
I discovered Blue Rodeo when they first started releasing albums years ago and I fell in love. I’m glad you like them. Trust Yourself has a great bass that sounds so good. Edit-And I learned something new-I didn’t know they were Canadian!
Blue Rodeo, another FANTASTIC band from Toronto! They've got a hint of country, good dose of rock, and are all talent! Jim Cuddy is the voice here, but there are other songs where Greg Keelor is singing (he's a little more 'gruff') - both have amazing tracks!! Seen them live a few times, and every time (most recently last December 2021) they put on an incredible show!! Further songs to check: Bad Timing (beautiful, mournful ballad! Jim vocals), Diamond Mine (Greg on vocals! Great rocking track), Hasn't Hit Me Yet (Jim), Lost Together (Greg), After The Rain (Jim), Trust Yourself (Jim), Dark Angel (Greg), Till I Am Myself Again (Jim) And for a wonderful solo Jim Cuddy track, give 'Too Many Hands' a try. The guy just has one of the most beautiful voices in music!
OMG..I was happy to stumble to this reaction. My 1st time hearing them was in the Cafeteria of UNBSJ. I was a student. Both my sons paid attention because they knew the Cafe, and ask why not anymore since they go there. I can't answer their questions, but they sure know all the Blue Rodeo songs and play them on guitar. Canadian Treasures!
Written by Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor. Sung by Cuddy. He sounds similar to Neil Finn. Produced by Terry Brown, a British producer. He is known to produce albums for Rush, the more famous Metro Toronto band. Try is the first hit for Blue Rodeo. More hits came after this! Blue Rodeo and Cowboy Junkies are part of Canadian alternative country music. Canada has many more good musicians including country musicians!
Know what it is? Everyone see's her, she's so beautiful. She's in the spotlight maybe. He's so in love. Admiring truly. Wants her to try. That's it. Fight, be happy, have a great life.
I consider this as him in a relationship with a beautiful but very moody woman. Falling in love with her more and more each day but knowing full well that she is poison and quite possibly does not feel the same way.
This is also what I get from this song. In another reaction video to this song, one person wrote a comment that this song is used quite often in Canada at weddings for the couple's first dance. I love this song, but this left me shaking my head.
Loving the content Hari, Blue Rodeo has a large catalog to discover. For another great Canadian, Check out Colin James - for a banger to start "Keep on loving me baby" A sultry Blues soulful guitar solo "why'd you lie" and finally another great solo "Sudden Stop"
Blue rodeo is another great Canadia group. Jim Cuddy has such an interesting voice. It took me years to get into the band but they have a great sound. Diamond Mine and Till I Am Myself Again are other great songs by them. The latter is my favourite. It's got that Byrds influence with what I believe is a lush 12-string guitar plus a cool organ.
Blue Rodeo... because they mix blues and country. They have many awesome tracks. House of Dreams is one of my favees and so is Hasn't Hit Me Yet, which features Greg Keelor on lead vocals instead of Jim Cuddy. Both guys are stellar artists and they trade lead duties on different songs. Rose Coloured Glasses is another good ones. Also Trust YOurself, Rain Down on Me, Bad Timing, Till I am Myself Again, and I know I'm missing quite a few songs, but that's a good start.
I get what you're saying Harri, It's a beautiful song, but it's not really a complete story, I don't think it was intended to have a deeper meaning behind it. So Your interpretation is as good as any. This is one of those songs I like for the melody more than the message. :)
I'm late , but I don't see anyone talking of the meaning. But it's more about a guy in love with a woman who doesn't know he is. He sees her from further away and should try to go to her
I'm curious. about 6 weeks ago I sent a PayPal donation and requested a reaction to a young lady from Germany. The donation was taken, but so far the reaction hasn't been done. Are you that backed up with donation requests or do you just decide that some of the requests you won't do?
It's very much in the same spirit as the old Ian Tyson song "Springtime in Alberta", where the singer compares his girlfriend to the weather in that western province, where it can plunge from blistering hot to freezing cold in a single day, and 100 km/h winds can pick up in minutes. Tyson had a golden voice, and wrote some of the most beautiful cowboy songs, with the advantage of actually being a real cowboy.
Blue Rodeo is one of our very BEST Canadian bands - and this was their very first hit. But they have an amazing 30 year rabbit hole to go down.
Yes Yes Yes.
So proud they are Canadian.
Yes,,,,,,You are just scratching the surface with this Canadian treasure. May I suggest, :It Hasn't Hit Me Yet" Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor are like the Canadian Lennon/McCartney.
Another great song. 👍✌️🇨🇦
That song brings me to tears
Omg you did Blue Rodeo? You’re awesome Harry. As a Canadian I am in awe of them
My absolute favourite Blue Rodeo song. Jim Cuddy's vocals are so perfect in this song. He just rips out your heart. Saw him sing it live about 10 years ago and it brought me to 😢 tears. Thanks Harri and Cynthia. More Blue Rodeo 🙏 please.

Thank you Mary.
Same here! Favorite!

Next, It Hasn't Hit Me Yet, Rose Coloured Glasses, Five Days in May.
Great Canadian band! 🇨🇦
They are one of Canada's best in recent times. Bad Timing is another stellar song
Love these men from Ontario. Have done Canada proud. Still doing tours.
You are a very cool guy Hari...Thanx from a Canadian who absolutely love BR,,Hope u do more

I never heard the song or of the group before but I really like this song
Always loved ' 'Til I Am Myself Again' by them. Saw them in the backroom of a downtown Toronto bar known as a new musical breeding ground in the mid-80s, not long after in a university auditorium, both still with their original lineup.
Another great Canadian band woo hoo ❤😂🇨🇦
requested by "cynthia", Blue Rodeo actually has a tune called "cynthia". it's very nice. 🙂
Your the Best Hari. Love you bro ❤😂🇨🇦
“Bad Timing” is my favourite Blue Rodeo song, I think you would really like it
It's a gorgeous tune.
Such a sad day. Such an unnecessary death. Tragic.😪 🇨🇦
Such a great Canadian band! I saw them live in concert once. This is my favourite Blue Rodeo song and I was pretty disappointed they didn’t play it but it was a great show and they have so many other great songs!!

Oh Canada !....and there's lots more where that came from :) Peace and love
I've seen them many times. Fabulous songwriting, and this man's voice, beautiful.
They were just chosen to have a street named after them, Blue Rodeo Drive in Toronto. Thanks Harri.☮️😥
Wow, what a cool honor! Beautiful song, Cynthia!
@@Cosmo-Kramer Thank you Cosmo.
I hope people don't keep stealing the street sign, like they did with Mike Myers Drive!
Has been one of my favorite bands since they first came out. Seen them twice now. They have a great playlist
Try Lost Together. It is a beautiful song.
Love me some Blue Rodeo! “Hasn’t Hit Me Yet”, “What Am I Doing Here”, “Til I Am Myself Again”. Please go down this rabbit hole!! Cheers! 😎🎶❤
Great Band Jim Cuddy And Greg Keelor another hidden Canadian gem! both lead vocalists giving the band different sounds
which to me makes for a better band....

One of Blue Rodeo's more simple songs. The singer, Jim Cuddy, wrote this song for the simple reason to showcase his voice. He changes it up when he sings live and reaches notes that are almost impossible.
Thank you for doing this one! It’s one of my favourites!

Beauty. My favorite Blue Rodeo song is Diamond Mine.
Please try some Corb Lund. I don’t know if you have yet, but I am really enjoying Ride On.

Haven't heard of them before being here in the states but like it so far, love his range. Easy listening light rock.

Yo gotta react to Blue Rodeo- Hasnt hit me yet

REACT to Lorenna Mckennit-The mystics dream.. trust me

This is the song that reminds me of meeting and dating my wife. Ya, it's about dating an unpredictable girl who is kind of out of your league.
Please play scarecrow in the garden by Chris Stapleton.❤❤❤❤❤ Vonnie
You have to listen to "Bullet Proof"
I'm late , but I don't see anyone talking of the meaning. But it's more about a guy in love with a woman who doesn't know he is. He sees her from further away and should try to go to her

She is a person that you are attracted to, but you are married to other person....
How about Try by Janus Joplin. Much better Dave in Sierra Vista AZ
Just to clarify for others: same title, different song.
It's very much in the same spirit as the old Ian Tyson song "Springtime in Alberta", where the singer compares his girlfriend to the weather in that western province, where it can plunge from blistering hot to freezing cold in a single day, and 100 km/h winds can pick up in minutes.
