Thank you for finding more Blue Rodeo. You guys are always so great to our Canadian artists. They are such an iconic Canadian treasure. With a huge rabbit hole to go down. Try (first single), Diamond Mine, Five Will Get You Six, Trust Yourself, Bulletproof are my personal faves. Jim Cuddy (lead singer) branched out on his own as a solo artist and he has a hilarious song that you NEED to check out. It's called Married Again. He said it's a an actual true story about a couple that went to Vegas to get a quickie divorce. But the night before - they got drunk - and the next day actually got REMARRIED again - instead of going for the divorce. Song is fantastic - and will have you pyp laughing. Cheers from Canada!
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 Another great song By Blue Rodeo. # 1: Try 2 : Bad Timing 3 : 5 Days in May 4 : Lost together Your gonna adore those song too Keep the good work my friends ✌️👍🏻👏
I believe their top chart number in The States was 19th on the Alternative Rock Chart for Til I Am Myself Again in '91. But with over 2.8 million album sales in Canada..
Love hearing some Blue Rodeo, yes I'm a Canadian, I have several of their CDs and play them often. 5 days in July, a CD that can be played start to finish with out any songs I want to skip over, same with their other CDs.
Yes Asia, you're right, it's mandolin and pedal steel guitar you're hearing along with bass and acoustic guitar, piano and drums. I've seen this band many times and they are ridiculously good live. Shout out to my home province of Ontario!
Wife here.., WOW.., the Acoustic guitar was stellar in this song!!..The instrumentation is intricate..The sound is quite Folky MS. Asia....., Very Americana sounding...👍💯
They play this song live at every concert, at least every one I've ever been to, and they always get the crowd to sing the whole first verse and chorus. Every Blue Rodeo fan knows all the words, and something about hearing those lyrics harmonized all around you by thousands of people followed by the drums coming in while the music builds in a crescendo to the second verse... it's just magical every time.
Pure Canadiana. Probably my favourite song from one of my favourite bands. These guys are so brilliant and so versatile. Their catalogue is huge and wide ranging in style.
Best line in the song is “kind of like those sunsets that leave you feeling so stoned!” I’m Canadian and I grew up listening to Blue Rodeo. I was able to see them live with my Mom! What a great concert!!
They played a high school in my town in the 80's. I can't tell you how much they are loved in Canada. Keep digging they have so many incredible tracks.
To me, they are the greatest Canadian band ever. Meant so much to me and my 20s in the 90s. Saw them a ton. Just a great band and in the same line of the great Canadian song writers that came before them (Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot, Neil Young, Bruce Cockburn, Leonard Cohen, etc). Keelor and Cuddy are so takented
Brought back so many memories. I love Greg Keelors voice. They were so smart to go with two lead singers. All their songs when I hear them no bring so many clear memories. My Favourite Canadian band for sure. You should see them live … you’ll be transported to a huge camp fire jam session
I love blue rodeo, but me personally I think tragically hip is the better band, more intricate lyrics (some times too intricate albeit) and the instrument playing is so good. Rob baker with open tuning is magic.
@@kachoww5981 I dig the hip but they just don’t have the same emotional appeal as blue rodeo. Now if we are talking straight ahead rock n roll from the first 2 albums, I hear ya
Beautiful song.Never heard of these guys. Staring out my window watching the rain fall while this song played. Beautiful. If you like this you'll also like "Golden" by My Morning Jacket. Same vibe.
Blue Rodeo, with their raw yet complex honesty, by itself has gotten me laid. They are frost giants of that snow-deep-soul sound of the True North. The line, "I kind of like this feeling of being left behind" encapsulates it all.
Lost Together by them is their best song. Well i shouldnt say best but definitely my favourite. Check it out if yiu get a chance. Have a grear weekend!
The instrument you’re hearing as a mandolin it’s much more high-pitched to the banjo. I’ve seen these guys probably 10 times and they are not only incredible musicians but absolutely the nicest guys you could ever care to meet.
If The Tragically Hip is Canada's garage band then Blue Rodeo is our around the campfire band..... two great bands that for the most part remained a Canadian secret.
This song really helped me go through very hard breakups. As I was listening to it, each time it made me look forward instead of backward. Powerful song! You should also take the time to listen to "Diamond Mine" from Blue Rodeo... another amazing song. And I'm gonna push it another time for "Evie" by Stevie Wright, from down under Australia 😉(in quite another register 😄)
Okay, so im failing in love with all your Hip reactions...you guys have a wonderful energy. May I suggest Tim Baker, another Canadian, as subject for a future reaction. Another national gem of ours who never found footing in the mainstream. He was also part of a band named Hey Rosetta! Look him/them up. Wonderful songwriting. Newfoundlander to boot!
Both mandolin and steel pedal guitar, as well as an acoustic rhythm and electric lead guitar. Blue Rodeo are my absolute favourite band still playing (coming on 40 years!). The only band I like better, thanks to my teenage attachment to the holy triumvirate, is Rush. We sure are blessed for music up here in the Great White North! ❤🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
No views and barely any comments. Sad. Blue Rodeo is REALLY GOOD. But, without a super label behind them, no global sales and no global exposure. By the way, not really country, either...
Blue Rodeo is a stay at home in Canada phenomenon, country rock superstars of the Great White North.
Endless Great music.
Minnesota is Junior Varsity Canadian, and we THANK CANADA for Blue Rodeo!!!!
One of Canada's great bands.

A great Canadian soft rock band with a nice solid library of songs, like their hit song, Lost Together.
I’m glad you have discovered Blue Rodeo. I hope you can do another one of their songs like Lost Together, Try or Bad Timing.
they have done bad timing
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Another great song
By Blue Rodeo. #
1: Try
2 : Bad Timing
3 : 5 Days in May
4 : Lost together
Your gonna adore those song too
Keep the good work my friends ✌️👍🏻👏
and, Trust Youself, Diamond Mine and many more
Yes, I have listened to this while sitting on a boat in Lake Ontario, in December, when it is snowing. Great song by talented musicians.
This reached #8 in Canada. Their songs/albums only charted in Canada.
Surle ...u know it's sad that music was popular in diff countries...so much is missed.
But some of us loved it in Detroit- just across the river!
I believe their top chart number in The States was 19th on the Alternative Rock Chart for Til I Am Myself Again in '91. But with over 2.8 million album sales in Canada..

Five Days in July is outstanding start to finish. Good call!

Never heard of these guys, man they're good! Thanks for the turn on!
Check out " lost together and " diamond mine" classics. Enjoy
Pure Canadiana. Probably my favourite song from one of my favourite bands. These guys are so brilliant and so versatile. Their catalogue is huge and wide ranging in style.
painting a picture is exactly right. beautiful! 🙂 thank for checking out blue rodeo, much love from canada! 🥰
Jim Cuddy & Greg Keelor are one of the best songwriting teams ever
Another great Canadian band. A couple of other songs by them are
Try
Lost Together
Blue Rodeo are a country, folk, rock
fusion
Greg Keelor and Jim Cuddy sound wonderful together and they are a great songwriting team.
Best harmonies in music
Can't believe it's been 30 years since this album was released. Still sounds great! 👍
Best line in the song is “kind of like those sunsets that leave you feeling so stoned!”
I’m Canadian and I grew up listening to Blue Rodeo. I was able to see them live with my Mom! What a great concert!!
Great band ---if you ever get a chance to see them live, highly recommended 👍
Thanks for doing this. A brilliant song from an iconic Toronto band. Well done.
One of my fav songs by Blue Rodeo :) This band is a Canadian treasure ❤️
They played a high school in my town in the 80's.
I can't tell you how much they are loved in Canada.
Keep digging they have so many incredible tracks.
Great choice. I Found this awesome group through The Tragically Hip.
Thanks for listening

Try Spirit Of The West - Home For A Rest. Super cool song!!
Totally different vibe, but holy smokes is “Home for a Rest” a great party song. I don’t know how anyone can hear it and not want to dance.
Thanks for reacting to one of my favourite songs.
I saw these guys live with the Tragically hip in my youth. Instantly spellbound by Blue Rodeo. The hit you deep
Beautiful song.Never heard of these guys. Staring out my window watching the rain fall while this song played. Beautiful.
If you like this you'll also like "Golden" by My Morning Jacket.
Same vibe.
I agree this song puts you right in the picture! Great reaction!
Blue Rodeo, with their raw yet complex honesty, by itself has gotten me laid. They are frost giants of that snow-deep-soul sound of the True North. The line, "I kind of like this feeling of being left behind" encapsulates it all.
I’ll never understand why this band was not more popular outside of Canada
They don't play outside of Canada enough
Brutal music industry. Canadian rock is hipper than the U.S. British rock still rules.
These guys are so good! I am so glad you appreciate them.
Couldn't agree more!
Great Band, playing Roots n Blues Festival in Salmon Arm, BC this year, can't wait!
Underrated band
Canadian here - I saw these guys live in the 90's - thanks for reacting :)
Couple of other great tunes by these guys not mentioned below: 'Til I Am Myself Again, Head Over Heels. Great band.
yep, it’s a mandolin ❤
It is the mandolin Asia! I am a Canadian and subscribed a long time ago. Love that Asia & BJ have big support from Canadians.
Lost Together by them is their best song. Well i shouldnt say best but definitely my favourite. Check it out if yiu get a chance. Have a grear weekend!
Jim Cuddy one of the singers here and has some great solo music too.

True. True. True.
I'm 4:16 just 40 min north of TO...Love these guys, one of my fav songs! Can't believe people are reacting to them now. Great reaction!
'' Five days in may'' or "try" are my personal favorites, their sound is unique...... Cheers from Montréal
down in the middle of Lake Ontario!
So great to hear you guys cover a great Canadian band. There are so many more from blue Rodeo
I am so jealous of anyone who gets to hear Blue Rodeo for the first time!
You should also check out Lost Together 🥰
HOW BOUT, COUNTRY ROCK BLUEGRASS. WOULD SUGGEST… LOST TOGETHER.
GREAT BAND LIVE IN CONCERT. ROCK ON 👊🖖
Diamond Mine is my fav from BR.😊🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Cool song, never heard it before, I like it
Great Canadian music!
Everyone has a difficult time putting Blue Rodeo into a category. I describe them as Light Rock/Country/Folk/and sometimes jazz. Love them.
Okay, so im failing in love with all your Hip reactions...you guys have a wonderful energy. May I suggest Tim Baker, another Canadian, as subject for a future reaction. It IS a mandolin, Asia!
Awesome 👌
Omg guys im loving the Canadian bands you're checking out!!!
Blue rodeo,hasn’t hit me yet.Vonnie ❤❤❤❤
likely a slide steelhuitar and Jim Cuddy cab okay banjo .in Canada we call it rock with a bit country.
You've said the same thing before, when you covered Tanya Ticker
San Antonio Stroll
Never heard of them but enjoyed it the lead singer reminded me of Elvis Costello.
Nice song. Gives you an easy folksey feel.
❤🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
PS - Roots rock may be the best name for their genre of popular music.
You should watch the live from Halifax version
The song "99" by TOTO is great also.
I love their stuff but my faves are Trust Yourself Lost Together and Try
🇨🇦 best kept musical secret
Wow Blue Rodeo made the big time lol
Nice!!!😃
No views and barely any comments. Sad. Blue Rodeo is REALLY GOOD. But, without a super label behind them, no global sales and no global exposure. By the way, not really country, either...
Great band from Canada my favorite song by then is bad timing off the same album I think
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
That's a steel ukulele
The video gives you a better idea of what the song is about.
Pedal steel guitar
He and his wife are spilting up...
