- In this video I finally get the truck out for a test drive. Deal with shift cable bushings and uncover why the horn doesn't work!

Great work! Enjoying the channel.
I've just put a deposit down with an importer and I'm waiting for the right Hijet Jumbo to come up in Japan. Looking forward to crossing paths at some point... I'm in Burnaby.
Terrific Richard. Absolutely delighted to see this little truck running again. I am convinced the local mechanic eager to try fixing it never could have done the job you have just completed. It has been a pleasure to watch. Thanks.
It was a fun project. Not quite done yet, a few finishing touches left.
This has been a lot of fun watching you resurrect it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've been kicking around getting a Suzuki Carry for off road on my property - ute-farm-ish use. Is finding one in v.good+ shape pretty much luck of the draw? I get it's a 25 yr old vehicle ... and wondering whether I'd be better off finding a side-by-side with a decent sized box?
@@kerrybrunner9736 rust is biggest issue usually. I’ve never imported one, just buy them broken.
Had a quick question about the sambar. Does the EN07Y pistons in the supercharged model fit the EN07C (non supercharged carbureted) motor? I wanted to turbo the non supercharged one but cant seem to find anything about lowering its compression ratio.
I would think they would but you might want to contact G&R Imports. They do many rebuilds and might know for certain. I’ve never worked on a supercharged Sambar…..yet.
