I just bought my sony a6000 and I'm really overwhelmed with all the features, buttons, and possible settings. Out of all the videos I've seen on setting up the camera, yours is the most useful, concise, and the easiest to follow.
@@blendoben i got it for $350 when I commented, which was below the $400ish it was going for. Not $350 seems to be the norm. I might be selling it soon tho, I wanna get a newer one. It is still amazing for photos
@@SangheiliSpecOp , You got it for a steal bro lol. I think I bought mine for like $500 with kit lens, carry bag, & 32gb sd card like 2 years ago on a black Friday sale
This video was so helpful. Your calm manner of speaking with clear instructions was exactly what I needed to learn how to custom set my Sony a6000. Too many other TH-cam instructors assume we know our camera and screen menus and talk so darn fast. I am subscribing to learn more from you. Thanks!
I was prepared to spend the day researching camera settings for different subjects I enjoy photographing. Your cheat sheets saved the day. THEY ARE WONDERFUL. And your style of presenting information is so unassuming and easy to follow. I will be viewing the rest of your videos. Thank you kindly.
I've had the SonyA6000 since Christmas 2016 and I never got around to actually learning it and just relied on Auto everything. Now I am getting more and more into creative lenses and in camera effects so thank you for making these videos! They have helped me so much and I feel confident using my camera in all the different settings.

Your videos are amazing. Thank you so much for the help. I have had this camera for a while, and have not done a lot with it. Recently I started spending a little more time getting to know my a 6000. I’ve watched a lot of different videos, but yours are very easy to follow, and I feel a lot more comfortable with my camera now. Thank you so much.
Thanks buddy! Your approach in creating tutorial for A6000 is the most professional among the all I've seen so far. You've started with settings reset and that just says that you know what you are doing! And the tips were useful as well, even though I knew some of them. I definitely gonna watch your other tutorials, thanks again and good luck!
Really liked your video. Clear and easy to follow directions. Thank you so much. I cannot wait to learn more from you. I am also ordering some of your cheat sheets, they look awesome.
New Sony A6000 owner here - this was so useful and clear, the manual on this thing is pathetic. You just got a new subscriber, hope you make more videos - see this was like a test channel or something. I like your pad too.
I am now a subscriber!! Great video- I appreciate the calm and deliberate manner in which you share the content and knowledge. I want to get to know my a6000 better and your videos are very helpful. Maybe too elementary for some- but exactly what I need. Great Job- Thanks Moose!!
Whew...so glad I found the channel!!!!! Just got my camera and was feeling like I needed an MBA to get going but....awesome tips and simple to follow..
(2024)Im a newbie in Photography and also on a low budget 😊 and by 2morrow i will receive my first mirrorless camera sony a6000 (just fell in love with the design of the sony a6000 - antrazit grey black) and im so thankful for your Tipps and Tricks on how to use my 10 Year Old Camera in the right way and i now with 300 € more i could get the sony zv e10 but im not into video making actually (not for now) and i will spend my money on better lenses in the future it will take sometime since working 9-5😮 but hey anyways , THANK YOU *SUBSCRIBED*
This was so helpful, thank you. I've had an A6000 sitting on my shelf for a year, but I've been too lazy and nervous to learn the tricks (I'm new to 'proper' cameras), as I'm usually happy enough with the shots from my phones (what a word). It's time I learn to use a proper cam, though!
Very interesting I didn't know about that faster focus setting! Thanks for that. I'm still waiting on my 2 a6000 to arrive. Going to be using them to film a chat show I got going on over here in ibiza called Ibiza Amigos. They will be both plugged into OBS. Any tips on OBS settings for high quality recordings would be greatly appreciated. Keeo up the good work buddy :)
Good video. I looked at your Cheat Sheet page and I am amazed at the work you must have put into all the Cheat Sheets for all the cameras and lenses. I'm going to buy a set for my Nikon D750 and see what you have. I am an intermediate/advanced photographer but I must admit I haven't learned everything about all the menu settings. I usually do everything in Manual mode and if I have time I set my flashes and strobes to manual otherwise I use TTL if I'm moving around and shooting fast. I just bought my grand daughter a Sony a6000. She has a very good eye for composition but has an old Sony a200. If I like your cheat sheets, I'm going to buy her a set for her a6000. thanks, Monty
Great video, my daughter just baught me a6000 and I love it. But was wondering how to change all the quick settings on the function button, now happy chappy
Hi ! thank you for your informational videos just when I was going to throw in the towel with my a6000. Is there is any way that while filming a video I am able to see whatever is being filmed via a computer or another device? I think this is called live view.
I have an a6400 so I assume your items for purchase will work for that as well, purchased the lens tips from you for the a6000. Enjoy your tips and tutorials. Simple, easy to follow and it makes sense. Thank you.
I have C2 set to turn off the monitor , which saves the battery big time when out on a long shot, but there again I use the viewfinder anyway! AEL I have set up for back focus, which once you get use to it is a way better method that pressing the shutter button half way down. It's very good if you using AF-C because that only kicks in when you are pressing the AEL. .
Thanks for the great tips. I am still learning things about this camera. I have had it since it came out 7 years ago. Love the faster auto focus tip during video. Here's a great tip that I learned the other day. You can put a small piece of black tape on the bottom part of the sensor next to the viewfinder. This will prevent the camera from switching to the viewfinder view when you move the camera closer to your body. Now the camera will only switch to the viewfinder when your eye is looking through the viewfinder.
Hi, liked your videos it is very helpful. plz help me . when i take photos from my a6000 it looks grainy not clear .what am i doing wrong and what setting should i select? Fyi - this is my first camera and i am learner..Thanks in advance and waiting for your reply.
Love your videos. I was wondering can I adjust the shutter speed while shooting in Aperture mode? Or do I have to change modes completely? Took a picture of my son petting our dog and he was crisp but his hands were blurred from moving.
Hello! I want to start with photography and don't know if the 6000 is a good choise in 2020 or if I should collect more money for a 6400 or 6600? I don't want to make a bad decision. Greets from Austria :)
Just purchased the cheat sheets. What a great idea especially for me as I’m very new to this type of photography. Thank you for the great content. I’m not sure if i need a different lens for astrophotography. Do you have a thought on that or is the kit lens going to be able to do the job? Purchased the a6000 with the 16-50mm lens.
Hi! In "Creative styles" there are choices between "standard" and "vivid" (excluding other ones). So, when i point the camera to a dark spot and set it to "vivid" i lose details in shadows, but if change it to "standard" i can see more details in shadows. Does it mean i can win 1 or 2 ISO stops in low light if set to "standard" as apposed to "vivid"? Or is it just my imagination? Sorry for my lame english Thank you!
