This video should be seen by all beginners with the a6000! It has helped me with the many confusing buttons and has leveled up my photography game. Thankssssssss

It's not a beginner camera it's just a budget friendly mirrorless cam. There's thousands of professionals that have shot with it and made a living. Great video though! Cheers

Agree. I just replaced my 5dii that my wife uses with the a6000. Paid $2500 for the Canon new and at the time it was a "pro" camera. I can say the a6000 is a better camera in every way besides it not being full frame.

Bro thank you, I hate that it has that name bc it’s really not a beginner camera

I did a pixel by pixel comparison of the a6300 with my Canon 5DIII - same size image - and I could hardly tell which was which!

Wow!!!! I have had my camera for almost a year and have picked it up a million times and put it down because the settings just weren't right!!! I came across your video today and set my camera exactly how you told me and immediately my shots are crystal clear and the color is picture perfect!

It's so hilariously suspicious how you just refer to the things you had to change as „the settings“.
...like you're friends with the channel owner and determined to do him some kind of lip-service favour.
All, of course, without being interested in photography or (god beware!) the specific “settings“ of some clickamy-jig.
      XD

Thanks for sharing the basic settings, so that I can find what works best for me. I am getting a Sony a 6100 for Christmas and I want to make sure that I can set it up for success. Though I have taken photos for quite a while--on a Nikon and then a few Canons--moving to a Sony was kind of my dream. However, I still want to follow my muse--and NOT worry about learning traditional photography--so anything that helps me channel the muse, but take decent photos and great video is what I was looking for. I was happy to find your video. Hopefully, you have given me what I need to keep the creative activity flowing. Thanks!

Thanks for this. There's so many settings, that I've just been following my interest with different short videos rather than trying to learn every setting. A lot of the settings you talk about are available through the "Fn" button. I think it helps for a new user to start there.

Thanks for making this video. I've had my camera for over a year but haven't used it much because I was lost on all the functions it had and what settings to use. Most other videos on TH-cam were either way too far in-depth or not enough. Yours was a perfect balance, detailed and concise. I hit the like and subscribed ~ thanks again.

I think this video was a great walk through .. I am a beginner and know nothing about this camera. Your voice is calm and steady which helps to focus and retain content. My only suggestion would be to have something to actually focus on in front of the camera - the white screen does little to help see what you are changing .. even just a soda can. Otherwise, so helpful, thank you so much!

Do you have a separate tutorial for this (I didn't see one)? Also, if I took your advice on all the settings you recommended in your photog tutorial, what do I set the top to (M, S, A, yellow, green, etc.)? Have been very frustrated, as I get tons of blurry photos, no matter what mode I use.

Hello, I use the a6000 to shoot time intervals using an intervalometer, when shooting and positioning the camera with the lens down, the camera cannot understand its position in space and takes chaotically mixed vertical and horizontal frames, which is extremely inconvenient for post-processing, is this possible in cameras Sony disable the g sensor and make all frames strictly vertical or horizontal?

How can I manipulate the focus to make my subject (model) more in-focus and the background (I.e. outdoor bush) more soft and faded?

Hi, I’m really struggling with taking close up shots, it always goes out of focus. I’m desperate for some detailed eye shots for makeup. Also when I use flash it’s way too bright sometimes and other time’s the background is too black. I just want a normal detailed good quality photo. I’ve watched so many tutorials. What am I doing wrong? The photos are only focused when it’s further away but by the time you zoom and and crop them you loose quality
