This as got to be one of the best things that is on TH-cam. I mean I'm only 19 years old (born in 2001) but John Hughes movies have always been something so special to me. They made nostalgic of a time where I wasn't even born in. They made want to find love and just live life to the fullest with my friends & family. I will never forget the time where my dad showed me Breakfast Club (one of his favorite movie of all time) and that we talked about the movie right after we watched it. Man, the joy he had on his face when he realized that I loved the movie as much as he did many years ago was something that I will never forget. And now, throughout each year, we watch the entire filmography of this amazing director and still talking about as it was the first time watching them. RIP John & thank you for everything.

People kids whatever they are called 2k generation etc have no idea what it was like hop on the Haro down to the bike track pick up a ramp or two, cruise down the street find a quick marble pick up game, head to the local milk bar in Australia/Convenience store with a 5 cent piece nickel for you guys grab a bag full of lollies/candy head home switch on the Nintendo for some Super Mario Brothers with friends and family find all the warp zones, back on the bike to the local video store grab 5 weekly rentals for 5 bucks and your night was set amazing times how it all goes by so fast. The fact that my kids grew up watching these movies 20 plus years after they came out and still watch them is a testament to the sheer brilliance of John Hughes. The fact that Hollywood can't seem to find a director with a similar touch tells you how unique and superbly talented he was. I have always admired his intelligence and his ability to tell a great story on the big screen.

No smart phones, few personal computers - internet just ramping up. We were pretty much electronically unattached. Those were great decades to grow up in. You saw movies in the actual theater. You had to wait for the monthly magazines to come out to read about all the gossip and entertainment news!

Josh Gad - thank you, thank you, thank you for these amazing and soulful walks down memory lane. The 80s and 90s were truly the most amazing decades. No smart phones, few personal computers - internet just ramping up. We were pretty much electronically unattached. Those were great decades to grow up in. You saw movies in the actual theater. You had to wait for the monthly magazines to come out to read about all the gossip and entertainment news!
