Ferris Bueller was filmed at my high school, while school was in session. It was one of the most exciting moments in my life when John Hughes and Matthew Broderick came to check out our drama class rehearsing for a play. I'll never forget how kind and generous with their time they were.

I still remember being the only kid left in the theatre at the end if the credits in the aisle when Ferris tells me why are you still here. I tried to calling my brother to come back in the theatre but he missed. My greatest movie theater memory of all time. From that day on I always stay till the end and the lights come on. It didn't payoff much in the 90s but since Marvel success the Bueller tradition has paid out.

Haha! Me too, because you never know if they're gonna throw in an easter egg at the end! Is it an easter egg if it's the end of a movie? I know there's a name for that but I don't know what it is. A button? A Coda?

When you watch these movies as a teenager, this is exactly the tone they radiate. You feel like you matter, that your problems still matter even if you're not an adult. As Grey said, it felt like John Hughes was validating your point-of-view and experience as a teenager. We need more movies like that in today's world. *RIP John Hughes*

We have to keep in mind that these are all filmed 3-4 weeks before they are released so this was likely done at the end of May. That said, summer is here now and even though we are still in a pandemic, people are still wanting to enjoy their summer and relax so it might just be hard to get groups together for the next few months. As a child of the 80s, I don't know a single person my age who doesn't cherish this movie as well as all of John Hughes' movies. As a lover of art, those scenes in the Art Institute stick with me, particularly of the close-up of Cameron looking at the Seurat painiting and how the camera goes further and further in to see the detail of the dots. Brillant! Sloan's line at the end by the pool that 'sooner or later we all go to the zoo". Truth! I think about it all the time! Thank you Josh Gad for this walk down memory lane and all those behind the scenes facts that just make me love this movie even more. I'm sorry this is the last one!! These videoes have been a spot of joy in a very dark time!

Spoiler alert, it was a couple of hours. (and they filmed the very very last part of this video, first)

Me and my siblings, along with my mom would yell "THERE'S DAD!!" Then with out any control over our reactions, would jump up out of our seats or up off the floor and dance! Thank you all :)

I remember my dad taking me to see this movie when it first came out. We were originally gonna see Back to the Future again because it was re-released in theaters for a limited time, but that sold out, so we saw this Ferris Bueller movie (that we'd never even heard of before) instead. I couldn't stop raving about it afterwards when I got home. I begged my dad to take me to see it again the next night, but ended up having to wait to see it again on home video.
