They had to do this to give the Acura dealers a volume "base" model after the end of the Integra/RSX, otherwise foot traffic would have dwindled in Acura dealers.

Acura is 10 years late with this. I wish honda and Acura weren’t so slow with decision making.
This is hilarious…can Acura try??
No. No they can't.
Direct injection, Turbo charge and CVT, you can't skip either one.👎👎👎
They've had the ZDX in other countries, no? It's a shame this is just another bulked up hatchback instead of something efficient. Nicely done overall, but a top of the line HR-V or CR-V is going to make more sense.
I wonder if that weird shaped cup holder could also be used for a mug with a handle.
Has a CVT? Nope, not at this price point.
Acura has better and longer warranty than Honda. Even he didn’t mention that. If you buy a fully loaded Honda., you should talk to a Acura owner first. Except you are looking for minivan.
Shhhhh Its a fancy Honda HRV. Its our secret.
Low-rate Honda interior will drag its ratings down. When is Acura gonna get it together with their own styling and identity?
The front looks decently attractive, but thhe rear looks way too much like an HR-V. And the dual spoilers look atrocious
Would be cool to develop this into including a Type-S model with 2.0 turbo.
They wouldn't even do that for the RDX.
@ well still would be cool to see. And yeah even just a hopped up RDX with the more potent 2.0 tune would have been nice to see.
I'm digging it. This is a luxury HR-V, with more power.
what luxury lol
@@67keyakaren68 Leather, larger infotainment, etc. Stop trolling.
@@afcgeo882 what luxury? So do basics Kia’s.
@ Top trim Kias do. That’s why there’s no luxury rebadge brand for Kias. With this it’s the pano roof, advanced tech, all-LED lighting, leather, higher quality interior surfaces and seats, pano roof, better sound system, etc., just like for Lexus over Toyota or Audi over VW.
Curious about the HUD omission considering it's offered on the A-spec w/tech Integra.
