Born in 1946, McKenna studied ecology and conservation at the University of California, Berkeley. He explored the intersection of technology and human evolution, emphasizing the transformative power of art, storytelling, and ancient wisdom. McKenna also delved into the nature of time and reality, proposing theories that blended science, mythology, and philosophy.

Back in 2007 when I heard this talk it occurred to me that the reason things don't get fixed is because they are not allowed to get fixed for if they didctherecwould be no leverage left to use against the masses. Against themselves. The irony on many levels. But then again we need these dark aspects to cast a stark contrast to what we see as good. In order to really tells us what we want

Oh that war had become a thing of the past. Otherwise Terrace McKenna's prescience was hyper uncanny, or just based on all too obvious facts staring us in the face to ignore concerning the environment or our infantile political system in how accurately he could see how the future has unfolded.

He's built up this community and is some kind of leader...and what is he doing with this power?
How is he actually helping us network when he chooses the most negative quotes in his comments and then won't even engage with us personally.

Did you notice that Peter stopped doing the livestreams because it wasn't profitable...and during the livestreams where the community would "come together to clarify our thinking", we would typically get invaded by bots or some dark, shadowy lurkers hoping to suck the optimism and lifeblood out of the room, and Peter would do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to moderate or redirect the conversation. I wonder if he was even sitting there a part of it or if he would run the livestreams just to mine money out of the system and walk away to do other things for 3 hours. And the recordings are always edited to relay certain messages... I wonder what is the purpose? Now all the community can share is emojis and praise for Peter or a dead man who's thoughts aren't even technically his, they are part of the collective (they can live on and grow new tendrils in our minds and we can correct some of Terrence's blind spots) Yes, I may be one of the burning eyed fanatics who feels strongly that we have "a moral obligation to articulate solutions" and to hold one another accountable. The psychedelic community is special and I'm leery of those trying to take advantage.
