Great live performance of "A Love Like Yours" from "It Begins Again" which is a solid Dusty classic from the late 70's which would have been huge with airplay...radio programmers were asleep or just plain out of it missing this one...Bravo Dusty!!!
This was the peak of the disco era and inspite of some thinking that Dusty was being mediocre during the 70s-80s her sound here was far more purer, soulwise, than most of the over processed disco grooves in 1978. This was REAL Muscle Shoals R'n'B..continuation of "Son Of A Preacher Man"'. I just love it to bits.
What a thrilling performance from It Begins Again which is a Dusty classic that would have been a mega-hit had it received radio exposure...a DVD with these Dusty treats would be a winner!!
Dusty was great right up until the end of her life and there was some great stuff from the lady in the seventies. it Begins Again was a fine album and just slipped through the racks sadly. Those who bought it though loved it and rightly so.
I was so thrilled when this album came out. Cameo came out in 1973 and It Begins Again in 1977. If this album had better promotion it would have been a hit. Dusty looks so natural and beautiful here. It is a real treat to see this historic video.
I was about the same age as these kids in 1978. I was 16 years old. I think I would have liked the song had I heard it in the US. I liked the BeeGees...
❤❤❤Dusty❤❤❤ One of the best of all time. The greatest Britain has ever produced. Love the song.
Dusty is absolutely the best singer I have ever heard! It doesn't matter what she sings! It comes out the best! Rip dusty!
Only one DUSTY! FOREVER!!!
really, there is no one like Dusty....once in a lifetime, gorgeous and that voice
Dusty Springfield had some real SOUL in her vocally. Loved her voice.

i love Dusty's 70's music and style- this is cool-
Never knew why this wasnt a hit at the time. There was a lot of competition in 1978 though. Some great songs around

Those kids had no idea who they were watching on stage!❤
I had forgotten about this great song until it was featured on a TV program about 1978 songs the other night!

Our girl Dusty had the WHOLE package- killer voice, incredibly pretty, and sexy as hell!

Love this version; dare I say better than MR&TV
great!!!!
HOT STUFF DUSTY! Damn I want those boots, Dusty had sex appeal in buckets combined with a brilliant voice!
❤️
Very nice take on her homie Martha Reeves.
you guys all have to hear the Ike and Tina version
that has to be the most disengaged crowd I've ever seen on TOTP...
I agree, but she looks so different!
I think Kim Weston originally recorded this for Motown.
I love other British music too,,,,,,,,,. Do you?
Pity the production was so bad. After she went from America she seemed to stop demanding the ambient sound that made her earlier records so good.
Who's the host?
dusty is wearing ligh make up she does not go anywhere without make up
the crowd is all so young seeing here sing here in the studio .. They are thinking who the hell is this woman and she so old and un cool LOL
60s Dusty = classy, smooth, glamorous, astonishing
70s Dusty = old, tacky, mediocre
