That Revell glue is good stuff..👍
It sure is!
Thanks for the tips
You are most welcome!
Can I use this for toys. Like the new sonic and Mario toys made by jakks? Robotics musquash broke off and sonics tail came off. Is this glue a reactive one that melts the two surfaces together?
Thank yo for watching! This cement is only suitable for welding polystyrene plastic. I doubt toys or collectable figures are made from polystyrene. Modern products are usually marked with the type of plastic on the base of the item to aid in recycling. If in doubt try CA (cyanoacrylate) glue for your repair.
Do you think this glue is good for hair rooting figures? Or do you recommend something else? 😊
Sorry, not familiar with hair rooting figures. I would imagine a surface adhesive with some drying time like UHU general cement would be suitable. This is a welding cement for like plastics and won't work well with mixed materials.
Hi - I bought revell contacta professional ….
I’m new to minatures. Bought some (Games workshop/ Warhammer) off eBay an, and a sword snapped off in the post.
So I used the glue. Firstly it seemed like ages to get hard enough for me to leave it.
Then came back to it at the end of the day, and it snapped off pretty easy. It didn’t stick it well.
Games worship minatures are plastic I think.
Do you need to shake the glue before use or something?
Am I not understanding some crucial step??
Contacta Professional is a welding cement and relies on surface area for strength. For joins that are small but long, like your broken sword, the joint needs a pin to add strength to the join. You need to drill a small hole in both pieces and insert a thin metal pin before gluing together.
I just bought this item and it did not come with a nozzle cap….how can I re-cap the nozzle once it’s cut open?…..anyone?…..thanks….
What do you mean by the nozzle cap? The blue needle cover? If the needle is exposed just seal the end to avoid exposure to the air such as adhesive tape or a rubber eraser.
How much time it takes to work? I wanna glue an anime figure hand. 3 minutes? 10? How much i should hold it?
It depends on the surface area. Usually holds in a few minutes and sets overnight. This is only for polystyrene so check what material the anime figure is before using.
@@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne thank you
Hi (I tried to google this but couldnt find anything). I recently bought the Mandelorion Razor crest 1:72 and in the manual it says I need Contacta Clear. Now i already got the Contacta Professional Glue.
My question is are Contacta Clear and Contacta Professional Glue the same, but just in different bottles?
Or am I going have to buy the Contacta Clear as well for the windows/clear parts?
I want this model to be as perfect as possible :3
Thank you for your question. Contacta Clear is different from Contacta Professional. It is water based and designed to dry super clear. A more readily available product will by Microscale Krystal Klear or Deluxe Materials Glue 'n' Glaze. These are both water based, dry super clear and will not damage the clear parts like regular cements.
Would this contacta professional glue anything other than plastic, paper maybe?
Contacta is for welding polystyrene only. Card or wood glue will work perfect for paper.
how do I open it I just got a kit and I got the contacta professional glue I took the blue cover off and nothings coming out help

Do you mean glue comes out the end of the needle when the bottle is upright?
