Installed my UPD kit on my e55 wagon and it took some fiddling around but it works great. Initially the belt was walking 1 rib but I had to add a shim (washer) to a pulley and perfecto.
Also I filed that small bracket (small allen) bolt where it shares the thermostat housing. I felt it was going to chafe the thermostat housing.
    Keep up the great vids

@thelongranger55 I'm %80 sure it's the rear bearings in the supercharger, I took it apart and there's some play, I noticed it right away it sound like knocking

@@dantehooks1603 you only noticed it then ?whats the mileage? Have you ever changed the Sc fluid ?, I changed mine at 152k not sure if anyone did it previously but I’ve done it 4 times total just to flush it out , I’m at 168k now , and she runs great even before I did the service , I’ve changed the pulley bearing twice once at 127k & again at 157k .

@@thelongranger55 I'm at 197k she's up there, I'm the 2nd owner but was well taken care of, I'm not sure if the previous owner did maintenance on the supercharger, I have to check through the big book of service records lol. My idler pulley did shatter and it caused me to rip my belt, i changed the belt out and upgraded to billet pulleys, my first start up I heard the knock in the supercharger, not sure if that's what caused it

I had nothing but trouble from my belt wrap kit. It’s a flawed design that flexes under load and walks the belt off. After $200 in shredded belts I took it off and sold it and never had belt issues again. Some have good luck with them though, so it may be worth it. However, if you start having belts walk off you’ll know what caused it. Keep an eye on it and a spare belt with you if you’ve got one

You need to see if after install your pulley are aligned. I had 5 pulleys and a wrap kit, 2 bearings were not fully seated, I used a big socket to seat them, after the part that goes on the right side of the plate of wrap filed and a hole increased by sandpaper. After everything was fine, except bearings in these pulleys leaking. Supercharger pulley bearings started to leak after 1k, but probably after travel from Atlanta to Cleveland.

    Hello.
How far is the bracket supposed to go over the 10mm threaded bolt under the supercharger tensioner pulley?
I can’t get the bracket to go all the way in over it and sit flush.

Have you looked into the Gates RPM belts? I don't know anything about them or know if they're any better than the Gates HD (green belt), I just remember someone on one of the FB groups mentioning them. Could be another option to go with for the supercharger belt though.
My E55 is bone stock so I just went with the basic Continental belt from FCP, it was pretty inexpensive, I hope it was a good choice for a stock M113k.
Sidenote, car sounds awesome, love the blower whine! Do you have a part number or size for the cone filter? I might have to try one out just to goof off with.

Love the instructional videos by you Adam! Not a lot of people have them out there on the older Mercs. I personally own a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 (for those who dont know its the same engine as SLK 32AMG) so I always look forward to any SLK vids. Keep it up and your channel will grow. I know you specialize in performance mods but maybe even common maintenance videos would be cool. Its fairly easy to work on these cars wothout having to use costly scanners etc and I love that about all the Mercs from your collection. I have always loved the SL55 AMG. Beautiful car and nice than the newer SLs from the last few years. Now the brand new one, that design I actually like but for a while Mercedes dropped the ball on the design of the SL
