While most of the Chimera Ant Arc might go similarly without Gon & Killua, not only kite but also Pitou has an excellent chance of surviving, though I'm not sure what their goals would be in a world without Meruem
@NewWorldReview 😅 i want to ask you. Do you believe that Jing could in up trapped on the dark continent, and Kapica end up coming back with a new calamity, which then restarts gone searching for Jing again, because that was his original hunt
I was gonna say this. It's the only thing that truly makes sense given Ging's intense desire to know how shit works and the fact that he'd want to test all the cards before they got used by someone else.
Ging probably treats Gon the same way he was treated as a kid and he did the best thing for Gon because he knew his lifestyle wasn't for his baby he may seem unreasonable but he's a very sensible dude imo ❤
Friends? Probably not. Rivals? Possibly. They would blame each other for the loss of the first exam, meet in the second exam, lose there too(and probably help each other a bit)
I think killua would probably still save his sister because he implies that the needle is why he was so ok with her being stuck there , so once the ant thing was over with he had time to be like wtf my sister is trapped like this , he also would just visit her so you could easilly still have that story with Gons support and that could be their link to the dark continent , maybe even nanaka wants to go back
but, gon and Killua won't be in the chimera ant arc. the only reason Gon and killua are there is because of kite. in this story line gon wouldn't even know kite, or even they don't have the same emotion between. killua unpinned his needle because of bisky and need to fight whatever was in the chimera ant arc. if they don't be there to fight with chimera ants, he will even not be able to remove the needle.

And before you ask, Alluka only brought Gon back from the brink of death, not give him his nen he literally wished away just to kill Nefu-cat lady. I am sorry for forgetting names
@@PaulEffinger I understand your point of view, but Killua asked Nanika to "get Gon back to normal", not "get Gon back to health" or something like that. Furthermore, Gon sacrificed all of his nen with the cost being his death. Once your health is intact, this no longer makes sense. Technically the contract was paid, since he was in fact almost dead. It is also important to consider how Nanika's power works, she seems to move space and move time instead of creating things from scratch (example: when the Zoldycks' employee asked to be a millionaire, Nanika didn't create money, she moved an airship full of of money that already existed and brought it to the woman) So it's likely that when she healed the bird and healed Gon, she went back to the time when they were still okay. I think based on the ending that the writer came up with, one of Ging's abilities has to do with predicting the future in some capacity. It would make a lot of sense when you think about why he would all but abandon his son while still caring about him. When he's told about Gon's condition, he confirms he has multiple friends (talking about Killua probably) like Leorio before saying that everything will be fine. When told about kite he does know that kite has a special number that comes out on occasion that will prevent him from dying, which he himself also said he helped kite add thanks to his input, also with kite meeting Gon at a young age to #1 inspire him to become a hunter and #2 have that rage that allows him to kill Pitou, because she was the only one who had a (probably small) chance of healing Mereum. With gon losing his nen AND meeting his dad, he has no motivation to get his nen back instantly, Ging is now here to give him the motivation (dark continent) to get it back and get him ready building him from the ground up, as any input before would have been wasted. Also with the "rushed ending" the writer gave there is no chance gon is done in the story, as he becomes a "legendary hunter" which is kinda hard to say he could do that without nen. the only these could all be coincidences or Ging planning everything out normally without an ability idk.

I’ve started to wonder what would happen if Kite took on gon as an apprentice when he came to whale island. Basically Gon tells kite that he’s Ging’s son and Kite takes him on as an apprentice to become a hunter and eventually meet Ging. The two travel the world kinda like Naruto and Jiraiya until gon goes to take the hunter exam albeit in a much stronger state while still being the same old gon. That seems like a real possibility that could’ve happened if kite had figured it out while he was on whale island which would make the chimera ant arc all the more tragic.
Kid Gon and Killua on Heavens arena like that would be amazing to watch. I imagine they meeting and having to fight, Killua demolishing Gon, and that gives Gon the drive to train harder, on their second match after a lot of floors, Killua is confident he can win easily again, but he is surprised by how much stronger Gon got, but he is still the strongest between the two and try to end the fight quickly, the same way he did the first one. Gon is smarter than it seems though and was prepared to counter Killua if he went for the predictable attack, and surprised him winning the fight by ring out. And them, they fight again after more floors, on the last floor before the 200th, this time, both with the drive to win, and way stronger after spending months or years in the tower, with this rivalry giving both a reason to get stronger than they would by themselves. The fight betwween both of them would be legendary, way above anything you can see below the 200th, and in the end, Killua would win, but be surprised by Gon being happy for him, smiling and saying that next time he would win.
The only thing is that togashi maybe wouldve kept kirapika and leorio but had them be their own seperare duo making it that each duo were protagonists, maybe meeting a bit later down the line
Normally I don’t like theoreticals since the writer doesn’t leave much to work with outside of the canon, but I would watch this shit out of this because there’s so much you could do with this
Accompany doesnt work unless youve met the person before, their name has to be in your book, which Ging's was in the show because he had been to greed island with him as a baby. WOMP WOMP.
If gon and killua aren't there the ants probably never unlock aura and kite takes them down relatively easily The boys fighting rammot was huge for their learning about nen
Nope, he's not taking them down relatively easy. Gon and Killua never slowed Kite down. His timing at reaching the Ant nest wouldn't change. This is proven because he told them at the beginning of the hunt, "if you're too slow and can't keep up, I'm going to leave you." He also said, "I don't mind training you, but we're not going to have time to do so. You're going to have to show your resolve while fighting." Kite alone would not take down the ants by himself, that's absurd. He probably wouldn't have died tho because he wouldn't have gotten distracted by Gon and Killua. But Pitou still killed Kite without using nen. She wanted to see how strong she was. She didn't even know what hatsu she wanted to use yet. She came up with Dr. Blythe AFTER she killed Kite to preserve his body because she had so much fun fighting him. Plus, Rammott wasn't the only source of nen to the Ants. They captured Pokkle and lobotomized him to understand how nen works. Pokkle never even encountered Kite, Gon, Killua while in the NGL. So all of those events still would've happened. It wouldn't be as quick without Rammott. But Pitou is the X factor in all of that. Plus you need to remember, the Royal Guards were already on a different level when they were born. There were other hunters in the NGL. Ponzu sent her bees out and they reported several other hunters getting killed. That's how the queen got nen nutrients for the royal guard and Meruem while they were still in the egg sac (all hunters have to know nen remember). And the King himself was born earlier than expected. There's a lot of factors that you've forgotten.
I feel like this kind of just says that the only actual big change that gon brought to the world is meeting kurapika and him passing the exam. Because all of the big world changy thingys don't happen without kurapika it seems.
One thing that has always bothered me is why Hisoka never interacted with Ging. I mean they were at one point in the same place and i find it hard to believe that such a rare opportunity would be wasted, even if his life was in danger as Illumi explained. We know that Hisoka is aware of his power because of the "toybox" analogy we are shown at one point. Everyone knew that after Gon spoke to Gin they would meet at some point. All he had to do was follow a Nenless kid to encounter Ging. Its important to note that at this point Hisoka is still proritizing challenges and fun because he has not died yet.
9:00 I'd say that even Killua would be stronger at this point simply because he met Gon in Heaven's arena. They would have a bit of a rivalry there, and after that, Killua would always have a bit of a nag to "not let Gon surpass him" and would take training a bit more seriously. Of course he already is a beast, so this wouldn't amount to so much, but it would do something.
Accompany wouldn't work to take him to his mom. The reason it worked for ging was because ging took baby gon to greed Island and was recorded in the book.
What If there is a self imposed restriction rule, on Ging, that he need to be hated or not loved by nearby people, but also work in groups like in Greed Island and with the Mercenaries in the travel tô the dark continent.
I’m not saying gon would be killua in the tower, but it did only take gon (who had non existent training except for the zoldyck training) like a week to beat the tower compared to killua who had a lot of training before being dropped off
Loved this hypothetical video very much. However, I do think Kurapika and Leorio would still pass the hunter exam. At the very least, Kurapika had the focus and some physical prowess that exceeded Pokkle. Leorio would have had a harder time of it from a physical standpoint. However, he needed the support of friends to stick with it. In our introduction, he seemed to have a weak reason to be a hunter, money. It turned out to be much deeper and even pure, which is the most surprising aspect of Leorio. He is no combatant, but he was physically capable of reaching the final stage. The thing about hunters is not only physical power and mental acuity, but most of all, the heart. That is why Kilua failed in the end. After all, Illumi made him waiver about his sincerity in being friends with Gon. That's what Kilua wanted from the exam in the end.
IDK, I feel like Gon would get the full experience, his father went around to the most dangerous places, most likely Gon would grow up with Nen thanks to adapting to the environment. He also might gain that copying ability.
Mito was the reason who Gon was as naive as he was and the very cause of him losing his nen. (unless being birthed by greed cards did this) Change my mind.
I think Ging is raising him in his own way. He pointed him in the direction of the hunters, set goals and barriers in greed Island, gave gon the chance to meet him after greed Island for the chimera arc but even then sent him to his disciple. I bet there's a way to relearn nen and get even better
What if grandma had been to the dark continent in past with don freeccs and influenced Mito in a way because she knew it was way too dangerous for ging to bring Gon?
Do y'all think that Gon would have a different Nen ability if he was indeed raised by Ging? And so, what would it be? Also, if he were to relearn Nen from the very beginning at the point the story is in now, do you guys also think he would change anything, or just improve upon his already existing abilities?
I would argue that if Ging being around with Gon as a kid Ging would still leave Gon on Whale Tale Island often because he couldn't bring Gon on his more dangerous missions. Not much would actually change
Yes we would netero would still fight mermen kite will survive mega ants are wiped out faster before meruem is even born maybe and then the dark continent would still go on we only followed a character that impacted other characters not the story
I think Killua would still want to save Alluka after hanging out with Gon, of course it will probably be in less dire circumstances. I think Ging might use the ants to train Gon as well, but without Kite and that trauma I don't think they'll end up involved with the ant king elimination mission, after that I wonder how Ging would involve Gon in the election arc, maybe not at all, at which point I think Killua might start thinking of getting Alluka out, now that he's been doing his own thing for a while, but not for any specific purpose other than wanting her to have a better life.
While I do believe that Ging being around would’ve gave him a head start in discovering nen, I think that would somehow impede gon’s development as a character. Especially the adventurous, inquisitive aspect that made him a potent hunter in the first place.
Nah, Ging clearly admires and respectes Netero, so it would be likely out of character to teach Nen early to Gon since the exam is designed to non Nen user and to teach them after the exam
I think a fun thought experiment is if jjk characters were in hxh, I thought about gojo getting his abilities from the nen spirit beast to make restrictions with kinda like kurapika but I wanna know if you’d come up with different nen types?
If Gon and killua go to heavens arena post nen basics they would most likely miss hisoka mainly because I believe ging would reach them the traditional way, rather than the quicker way that wing did
If God and killua were to go to heaven’s arena, but this time without prior appointment to meet leorio and kurapika there, Gon’s impulses could also take over and proceed to register at floor 200. Killua knows best as observant that Gon starts excelling in a tough fight. So if they have nothing else to do, Gon might be baptized attempting floor 200. But maybe from someone stronger. Kastro? Wing? Hisoka would be a likely candidate. That would be an interesting story if hisoka did the baptizing. Seeing the boys’ rapid advance to floor 200 hisoka will take interest in them anyways. Who knows.
Basically story gets less interesting, and no matter what im not changing hunter exam arc much ,maybe gon will visit whale island to meet his grandmother before hunter exam and hence everything is similar, kurapika and leorio getting their hunter license no matter what
I feel like if ging was a father then they would be put into greed Island way earlier since they would be strong enough sooner. Either way I would love to see it all happen

The fight betwween both of them would be legendary, way above anything you can see below the 200th, and in the end, Killua would win, but be surprised by Gon being happy for him, smiling and saying that next time he would win.
No kite in his early life? You missed a step.
I shall remember you to pick up the milk in the morning!
If Ging raised Gon properly, then Mr. Leorio would've ended the filthy Kurta bloodline in the ship
WOMP WOMP.
If gon and killua aren't there the ants probably never unlock aura and kite takes them down relatively easily
The boys fighting rammot was huge for their learning about nen
Nope, he's not taking them down relatively easy. Gon and Killua never slowed Kite down. His timing at reaching the Ant nest wouldn't change. This is proven because he told them at the beginning of the hunt, "if you're too slow and can't keep up, I'm going to leave you." He also said, "I don't mind training you, but we're not going to have time to do so. You're going to have to show your resolve while fighting."
Kite alone would not take down the ants by himself, that's absurd.
I’d like to think that Ging would just leave Gon directly after he passed the hunter exam and kickstart the series in the same fashion.
Gon will not be able to use accompany to his mom. She was not inside Greed Island at some point, no name in Gon's book (or friend list).
Accompany will result in him going to ging and giving having to explain his use and extensive testing of the pregnancy stone. 😅
Imagine your theory was right and he goes all the way through that just to be teleported back to ging
If he had then he would have no way out of the bad father accusations XD
We won't have the greatest show in fiction
What If there is a self imposed restriction rule, on Ging, that he need to be hated or not loved by nearby people, but also work in groups like in Greed Island and with the Mercenaries in the travel tô the dark continent.
I think Don would have been a good grandfather to Gon
Don freecs is way, way older than grandpa.
Greed Island doesn't exist because there's no need to train Gon like that and there's no need to put up a game so Gon finds Ging.
Thanks for the consistent and great videos Liam! Always hyped to see your HxH stuff in my feed😊
I’m not saying gon would be killua in the tower, but it did only take gon (who had non existent training except for the zoldyck training) like a week to beat the tower compared to killua who had a lot of training before being dropped off
Love the goofy goober Gon hat picture
Amazing video as always. But I am curious about who does the art for your videos because damn I am such a fan🔥
Make a video on the Hisoka style his dressup
Hisoka is the one of the most stylish characters.
I love your videos
I love ur videos man
But Gon’s “mom” is a rock and a panda. Lol.
This man really doubts kurapikas skill insane to say he wouldn’t get a license either time
IDK, I feel like Gon would get the full experience, his father went around to the most dangerous places, most likely Gon would grow up with Nen thanks to adapting to the environment. He also might gain that copying ability.
Ging probably wouldn’t have built greed island if he raised Gon
Hey Snoopingturtle, don't forget to pick up milk in the morning.
Mito was the reason who Gon was as naive as he was and the very cause of him losing his nen. (unless being birthed by greed cards did this)
Change my mind.
I think Ging is raising him in his own way. He pointed him in the direction of the hunters, set goals and barriers in greed Island, gave gon the chance to meet him after greed Island for the chimera arc but even then sent him to his disciple. I bet there's a way to relearn nen and get even better
8:55 , insane , i like this storyline better than the original one 😭
Your background picture studio should always be Hunter X Hunter related with this channel :P
phantom troupe can still come to greed island like most hunters like Tzesgerraahh and biskey did... for MONEY and trophies and prize.
gon new drives would probly be discover all of the dark continent
Gon would use acompany to go to his mother and end back up Ging😂
Bro's back must be killing him for carrying HxH.
Kurapika would pass the hunter exam by himself
Goten and Trunks in heavens arena is basically what it would be
Keep up the awesome work and videos Liam love the video
I would argue ging might even develop a nen ability just for handling gon.
If Ging raised Gon, then we wouldn’t have Hunter X Hunter
Instead of Hunter x Hunter, we would have Mommy x Hunter
@@Chelrack~Mommy x Issues~*
Who knows.
Prior appointment to meet leorio and kurapika at york new
Basically story gets less interesting, and no matter what im not changing hunter exam arc much ,maybe gon will visit whale island to meet his grandmother before hunter exam and hence everything is similar, kurapika and leorio getting their hunter license no matter what
I feel like if ging was a father then they would be put into greed Island way earlier since they would be strong enough sooner. Either way I would love to see it all happen
