@@innercity28tower of god is pretty close tbh There's other towers and a whole world outside the tower and the tower our characters are in is already much bigger then our own world each floor is like it's own world actually I think the series is on chapter 600+ now and theyre only on like floor 50 out of 130 known floors + unknown floors, then the whole world outside the tower, We've only seen 3 out of 10 family heads and baam Is already fighting high rangers to stalemates and has damaged a few like Kallavan , and even gave white the legendary slayer a run for his money Tower of god is one of the few series that's world building is similar to one piece except one piece is moving at a jjk esque pace now

Morel made a point out of this when he chastised the use of the name when the members were so weak. The original squad consisted of Netero and presumably his fight buddies, It is a safeish bet that Zigg Zoldyck and Linne Horsdoeuvre were also members as they joined Netero for his romp in the DC.

The hunter organization is my favorite fictional gathering of people with talent because it's not integral to the plot at all. We didn't have 5 arcs of Gon training in it or 6 movies looking at you Harry Potter. We didn't get to meet every single person and have every facet of the org shown to us because it really didn't matter to the stories of our protags.
In other series the mc is usually dealing with the most important happenings in the world while nothing else important goes on . HxH feels like the world will go on without you whether you need exist or not. Eventually somebody will figure it out
I think the star system having nothing to do with combative power is really adding depth to the meaning of a hunter, as a hunter is someone who seeks something which could be anything, the need to learn nen and be able to defend themselves is a bare minimum to be one because the hxh universe is a very very dangerous place, it's also makes sense that Netero has no single star as his only goal in life is to become the strongest which benefits him only (directly at least) I like to imagine enhancers to have the least amount of stars because they are determined to achieve a single goal and are very selfish and simple minded but that's just a funny thought for me

With the bar set there, it's reasonable to assume that in order to produce remarkable achievements, one needs to be strong in the HxX world (Or else the achievement wouldn't be remarkable) That doesn't mean that a single star hunter is automatically stronger than no stars hunters, just that the concept isn't completely disconnected from strength

Something I found really interesting is when, during the Chairman Election arc, they mention the possibility of Morel jumping up from 1 star to 3 in the wake of the Chimera Ant situation; since one of the conditions for 3-stars is that one of your students/disciples/pupils has to be a 1-star hunter, that means Knuckle and/or Shoot are possible contenders for 1-star Hunterdom.

My conclusion is that togashi wouldn't just make up a bs title for gon yk.. Gon will probably join a branch. Killua will probably become a blacklist hunter because he wants to capture his family. Or thats what he said jokingly. Leorio would be in the med field ofc. But i dont know if gon would even want to contribute in those branches. I feel like he doesn't care enough. Many people misunderstand the star system It has nothing to do with your “power level” but your accomplishments in your field or expertise. People also forget many hunters create a Hatsu that caters to the occupation. Not all hunters focus on combat since basic Nen can already provide you necessary protection (Ken, Ko, shu etc) Most of the times, hunters are going against non Nen users or dangerous animals Leorio created his Hatsu for his occupation as a doctor and the fact it saves money from needing many types of medical equipment It just so happens to be useful in combat too since it can be applied that way, as shown by Ging.
This just makes me think that, IF Kurapika survives this arc, he would be the first of our main characters to earn a star for stopping the Phantom Troupe and potentially even Tserriednich edit: Also, if we get the Dark Continent Arc, I think it could be a Leorio centered arc where he really grows as a doctor

Hisoka and Kurapika both intend to hunt them, the Hunters and Mafia families are neutral at best, and the Troupe might get themselves involved in the succession war after seeing the body horror "art" 🤮 of Prince Tserriednich and being reminded of their origin. Tserriednich might catch them off-guard with his nen beasts and false future ability and kill one himself. Making a move on him will make the rest hostile towards the Spiders, causing this all to be even more dangerous. Plus, back home at Meteor City, we have Gyro being set up as someone who will become a threat, likely filling the power vacuum, and use his knowledge of Nen provided by Welfin to raise a new kingdom with the intent to destroy the world.

You know what'd be interesting? Trying to make certain Devil Fruits work using the Nen System. How would a Nen user get the Jacket Jacket fruit powers?
It would be a conjuration ability with strict restrictions but once fulfilled, it can manipulate someone that it takes over It can also likely be used to boost an ally’s power since two Nen users combining their power would surpass a single user on average
People are so used ranking systems that are based around power and strength (the ninja system from Naruto , the captain system from bleach, the bounty system from One piece ) that when ranking system gets made that bypasses or forgoes that , it baffles them I still remember a fan argument i had when someone was confused as to why Cheadle had stars but Netero didn’t when Netero is clearly stronger

Even Greed Island seems to be training for the dark continent because it had unique threats like the super fast puff Ball things that can only be tracked with Goh. It seems everything from beginning and middle has prepared our main characters for this end in the dark continent...

Gon didn't get a star after completing Greed Island or his participation in the Ant campaign, all because Gon hasn't chosen any specialty. So! it probably means that one who has a specialty and achieves something unrelated to their specialty might not get a star at all, but the exception seem to be from having subordinates that achieve a star, it can boost your star to double or triple star even if it's unrelated to your specialty. But it's just me guessing from a mention of Morel possibly getting triple after the ant arc after someone under him getting a star.

Kite mentioned that Ging could be a triple star Hunter if he wanted but he is too lazy to do the paperwork for it. So maybe Gon is qualified for a star for either clearing Greed Island (Game Hunter) or for helping with the Chimera Ants since that's why we think Knuckle and Shoot are probably considered for stars. TLDR: Gon would never get a star no matter what he does since I just can't see him do any paperwork to get it approved anyway, lmao.
I've been watching and enjoying your content for a few years now. But I can't remember if this was ever brought up. Knov's ability, could he set a door on the ship to the dark continent and connect it to one on the stories main land? That way instant access to and from the dark continent without having to pay the price for safe travel there? Not to mention being able to quickly move profitable material and injured people back and bring reinforcements almost instantaneously.
Theoretically yes, but after his breakdown, he's not up to the task of stepping foot in the DC. So his current role is to be stationed at the "fake new world", across the sea from the DC, to transfer findings from the DC back to the human world. But other people will be responsible for going into and taking things out of the DC to him.
We don't know the absolute limits of his powers, if there is a max distance allowed or not, or if there is some supernatural barrier preventing this via the gatekeepers or some other phenomena. But there is also the human element. Would know even go there knowing the threats? He's capable yes, and brave but may still be traumatized by the ants. But assuming he does go, and there isn't restrictions that we don't know of, then yes, once he sets up a door, he can Telenor people there through the use of his master key.

I think the fact that Ging had absolutely NO interest in becoming a Triple Star Hunter (even though he MORE than qualified) was the biggest clue that the Star ranking system had nothing to do with physical strength. Cheadle is one of the physically weakest Hunters, but she's still Triple Star Hunter. Now we have no clue what their nen affinities are. Nor do we know how and what way their nen may affect or has helped them achieve their status or ranking. Some of us know more than you think Liam. Thanks for the vid tho. Honestly I had the headcannon in mind that the stars had something to do with mentorship. I had assumed that was why Bisky was a two star hunter, because Wing was able to successfully mentor several students.

The phantom troupe backstory stuff got me too attached to them man, they humanized them and now I can't take either side
@@hajimehinata5854 I don't see them leaving the ship intact though. Maybe there will be a survivor, but the Spiders as a group are being set up to be broken. Hisoka and Kurapika both intend to hunt them, the Hunters and Mafia families are neutral at best, and the Troupe might get themselves involved in the succession war after seeing the body horror "art" 🤮 of Prince Tserriednich and being reminded of their origin. Tserriednich might catch them off-guard with his nen beasts and false future ability and kill one himself. Making a move on him will make the rest hostile towards the Spiders, causing this all to be even more dangerous. Plus, back home at Meteor City, we have Gyro being set up as someone who will become a threat, likely filling the power vacuum, and use his knowledge of Nen provided by Welfin to raise a new kingdom with the intent to destroy the world.
@@cameroncrouch5843it would make more sense for him to be a positive influence on Oito and Woble, finally reckon with Pairo’s death, lay his clan to rest, and get a closer bond to Leorio. A corruption arc would be out of nowhere.

People are so used ranking systems that are based around power and strength (the ninja system from Naruto , the captain system from bleach, the bounty system from One piece )

Even Greed Island seems to be training for the dark continent because it had unique threats like the super fast puff Ball things that can only be tracked with Goh. It seems everything from beginning and middle has prepared our main characters for this end in the dark continent...

Gon didn't get a star after completing Greed Island or his participation in the Ant campaign, all because Gon hasn't chosen any specialty. So! it probably means that one who has a specialty and achieves something unrelated to their specialty might not get a star at all, but the exception seem to be from having subordinates that achieve a star, it can boost your star to double or triple star even if it's unrelated to your specialty. But it's just me guessing from a mention of Morel possibly getting triple after the ant arc after someone under him getting a star.
@@Leongon We also can't forget that you apparently have to do some paperwork to get a star. Kite mentioned that Ging could be a triple star Hunter if he wanted but he is too lazy to do the paperwork for it. So maybe Gon is qualified for a star for either clearing Greed Island (Game Hunter) or for helping with the Chimera Ants since that's why we think Knuckle and Shoot are probably considered for stars.
TLDR: Gon would never get a star no matter what he does since I just can't see him do any paperwork to get it approved anyway, lmao.

Knov's ability, could he set a door on the ship to the dark continent and connect it to one on the stories main land? That way instant access to and from the dark continent without having to pay the price for safe travel there? Not to mention being able to quickly move profitable material and injured people back and bring reinforcements almost instantaneously.
Theoretically yes, but after his breakdown, he's not up to the task of stepping foot in the DC. So his current role is to be stationed at the "fake new world", across the sea from the DC, to transfer findings from the DC back to the human world. But other people will be responsible for going into and taking things out of the DC to him.
We don't know the absolute limits of his powers, if there is a max distance allowed or not, or if there is some supernatural barrier preventing this via the gatekeepers or some other phenomena.
But there is also the human element. Would know even go there knowing the threats? He's capable yes, and brave but may still be traumatized by the ants.
But assuming he does go, and there isn't restrictions that we don't know of, then yes, once he sets up a door, he can Telenor people there through the use of his master key.

I think the fact that Ging had absolutely NO interest in becoming a Triple Star Hunter (even though he MORE than qualified) was the biggest clue that the Star ranking system had nothing to do with physical strength. Cheadle is one of the physically weakest Hunters, but she's still Triple Star Hunter. Now we have no clue what their nen affinities are. Nor do we know how and what way their nen may affect or has helped them achieve their status or ranking.
