Finally, I can put a TV in front of my TV, and watch twice as much of nothing.
Lol
Stack transparent TVs for peak experience.
@@username-mb2qh it is a way to create 3d images, so actually yes )))
Almost worth Exibit's time :)
why you still use TV in 2024 ?????
The closest thing they'll ever get to selling you nothing 🤣😂😅
nah thats accurate-apple would mock samsung that way because they can do better in that regard
Nice to find another user with a profile pic made in Dreams.
20$ microfiber cloth.😂
@@azimalif266
$30 dongle so you can use a normal USB c cord without the iPhone giving you 3rd degree burns
Nothing Phone
Nothing TV
Who said it's Samsung's innovation. It's apples innovation when they launch it.
😂😂
For real, I forgot apple has copyrighted every innovations. 😂
Yes indeed Apple trademarked apples. And rectangles.
Yeah, fanboys can't just admit it's innovation only inside their ecosystem.
Maybe they trade marked the bite marks also
Transparent screens have been in slot machines for years (stacked on top of each other even, for a 3d effect). It looks neat but I don't see why I'd want one in my house.
Because people with money to buy it in the first place just wants to show off 🎉
Transparent screen had always been a thing, granted this is amazing real TV.
But honestly it’s pointless except for Commercial usages.
I can’t honestly think of the price for repairing this kind of TV 📺….
They are more geared toward as a window with information. Such as stadium suites that can then have stats on the window as you watch the game through the screen.
You don't have to. This is mainly meant for industry and business applications.
That makes sense, but that's not what was in the promo video :)
SAMTIME needs to release an album
Yeah, apparently??? That was rad, and each line was great! 😂
Errr….no…….please don’t 😮
Since it's clear you could line MULTIPLE clear TVs in front of each other, to keep up on all your shows at once. I love modern technology.
modern as in low attention span modern 😂😂😂😂
You just described a 3D volumetric display.
@@DraconicA5 And it would only 5000 dollars more per layer.
@@eriksilva631
By the time you purchased enough to create proper 3D layering, you can buy entire US aircraft carrier. 😂
Photoshop Layers for TV!!! This way I can watch 5 times as many TV programs if I just have 4 transparent TVs and one Old-Fashioned opaque antique screen.
This is funny.
The product is massively valid though. Billboards, advertisement panels, medical and industrial devices, etc... They market it for home user as well, just because they know there are enough rich tools, who would buy something useless, just because it looks fancy and is expensive.
Reminds me of generic semi-transparent holographic screens in Sci-Fi, which look cool, but, like, are really inconvenient to actually read information from, because of the background noise.
Almost just a HUD. Heads up disolay.
HUD already exist for over a decade 😂
This will be iPhone in 2013
Sure, but how else are you going to look at the stars when they are addressing their computer screens???
Clearly you don't understand Hollywood or the Movie business.
Damn son, that song squeezed a tear or two, very emotionally sung.
I wouldn't get one if i owned a cat. Its like 5 seconds and itll try to jump through
Stack 30-50 of this, a controller and you'll have an actual 3D TV.
Oh it's coming! Just you wait!
You could get the effect with 5-6 screens, but either way you'd still only be able to do it with footage edited/created specifically for that kind of setup
After you completed it, it will still look shit and your eyes gone blind after realising you need millions for a potential eye implant in Year 2040.
It’s useless 💀
@@_underscore_9271 that is why you need controller or software or ai to do the 3D effect or volume.
@@Rockmirth I've been saying this stacking thing since the first transparent LG tv. I'm hoping they already thought about doing it.
I can now properly view my PNG transparencies instead of that grey checkerboard! 👍
lmfao
I know when I'm watching TV I am far more interested in what is happening BEHIND the TV than what's actually ON the TV screen. Now, if only someone could invent a transparent mirror where I can see what's on the other side of it without having to see my reflection. That'd completely change my world. I could even cut a whole in my wall and mount it so that i can see THROUGH my wall instead of having to go outside to see what's in the yard. Truly magical.
I remember the first plasma TVs. They cost over $20,000.
Cool tech, and I'm sure there is some very clever way to use it for something amazing, but I'm also sure that that amazing thing is not a TV.
Seriously, it can only be worse than a regular TV...
I think this will go the way of 3d tvs. I feel like it would be painful to watch something on this for long term, I feel like it could be cool for mabye glass windows of stores who want to advertise but can't think of much else
Transparent oleds make for great smart glasses
Hide n Seek behind the Television will never be the same..
If you can afford it 😂😂😂😂
Technology is amazing and every new innovation might create something we use in the future, even though in different ways.
I love watching your videos. they remind me of the golden era of youtube with tobuscus videos. back when everything was simpler. thank you!
😂😂 Love the song was very touching.
Brought tears to my eyes
Still crying 😭😭
I actually don’t think a transparent TV is a bad idea given the right use-case. I could see it replacing a large window assuming the TV is able to make itself opaque.
Imagine the pain of the parents whose kid broke the TV window with a baseball
transparent TV is just a door for the futurist 3D screens
They actually can do that! I don't know if it was LG or Samsung, but at least one of them has a black film in the TV that can basically make it un-seethrough by button press
@@imperatorpalpatine3978that’s why I assume it can do it.
The only TV innovation that actually exited me in a while is the Samsung that becomes a painting or can actually match your wallpaper so the tv becomes almost invisible on the wall
You are the greatest sam-sung hero on youtube!
I'll show myself out.
The Ikea ball vases part was too true 😂
Wow isn’t this great, its a new samtime video and only one minute after upload
I like how Vision Pro lets you see the room you are in virtually inside of your goggles without ever having to remove the goggles to look at the room you are in while you are wearing the goggles which let you see the room you are in which makes 3500 dollars seem like a BARGAIN.
How much would it cost you to replicate the view you would normally use your eyes for and put that imagery on a screen less than an inch away from your own eyes?
GENIUS!!!
I'll take TWO please!!! (always have a backup for when one of them stops working a couple of months after the warranty expires)
Maybe in 10 years they'll get these transparent TVs' black levels to match current TVs.
They sell as option an opaque white back ground for 999$ only, so you can turn the transparent screen into a standard screen. Love it 😉👌
"But why?" is the best expression to summarize this. Bravo! lol
People are desperate to get to Minority Report levels of tech apparently. The tech is impressive though.
Why not? It will get cheaper when tech is actually ready, and for now there is enough buyers with more money then senses.
It's mostly for commercial purposes to showcase products and not for consumers.
This is a Award-Winning Short Tech Review TH-cam Channel......
This guy rocks
"but why?" is a forbidden question in this kind of tech. because theres really no answer for that beside to showoff what they can do with the latest tech that also look cool.
It's made for industrial purposes not for consumers. Businesses can use it on their windows to showcase products.
Do you really need to see your mess of cables?
Reason no.1 why i dont want a transparent TV: There is a mess of electronics and cables hidden behind every one, i dont want to see any of this.
ok you dropped BARS in that outro SAMTIME. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It’s like Tony Stark’s holographic workshop
This tech is more focused toward industry and business application. Though I can see this being useful for motorbike helmets using this for heads up display. That's probably why Samsung didn't state this as TV display but just it proper description.
There will be commercial applications for sure and similar products already exist in industry but they're definitely trying to market the concept for consumers. Taken directly from Samsung's news room:
"... The Transparent MICRO LED’s crystal-clear, glass-like display has revolutionized the viewing experience and attracted the attention of global consumers.
Check out how Transparent MICRO LEDs will make everything from sports to movies more vivid and immersive... "
You cannot just slap a transparent LCD over your face and expect it to be clear. Normally it's projected over a semi transparent surface like a reflex sight because your eyes can't focus things too close to you.
I believe Zack Freedman had a video about his DIY monocle, but can't remember which one.
@@triadwarfare this isnt an LCD panel sir.
One should not have a display glued to their goddamn head in the event of a crash.
Just think for a second, how did you reached the conclusion it was a good idea is beyond me 😂.
😂 bro you should post just the advertisement song as its own video. That ikea line was gold.
OK the song was hilarious
Like Star Wars hologram
I love the singing , want to hear MOAR !!! Thank you.
Damn, Finding the perfect content for that TV would hard as that would have to be tailormade in CG or special cameras for that transparent video medium using webm or quicktime video formats that do support that or simply black to transparency filter which may not be ideal for every scene in a video.
Samsung need Phil Schiller now for his line "can't innovate???" from 2013 when he showed the trashcan! World's most powerful trashcan!
To think the entire world is going to use those some day.
This reminds of of The Juice Media but for tech the satire is piss funny, love it. Subbed
Where's the full version of the song?
Another great video, thanks love it
That tech can be used for cars and Visions Pros
Worry not, apple will innovate this idea in 10 years, same as everything else they have stolen.
You can literally search DIY transparent tv on this very website to see these aren’t particularly innovative.
but then, you'll be able to catch that elusive gecko that lived behind your tv
Move over Taupin - there's a new lyricist in town
That song better be on every Samsung ad
You guys know this means smart windows
And we can have… windows running windows 😮
imagine we put it in a windshield and got a bluescreen while driving
lol Microsoft Car :)
That song was so good :D
3 views and 15 comments truly a youtube thing
I think it is more an application for a technical demonstrator. I think more useful applications are in lower price segment once you can combine the displays with mirrors or windows on a casual basis.
Invisible unboxing😂
When does the album hit itunes?
“The closest they’ve ever come to selling you nothing at all”😂😂😂
Yes I definitely want to look at my wall when i watch tv
That songs a hit Sam. 🎉
When we released a TV it didn't even have a TV! 😂😂😂 lmao
You should get started on the next script where Apple decides it was their idea and is launching a transparent iPhone, with the body of the phone stored in the fold, and the screen tinted. No more walking into street poles while texting. Now you can see the street and the rampant crime that comes with it.
The more practical implementation is car window heads-up displays for navigation, speed warnings, and radio station control / car alerts. Nobody sane would want text messages or instagram / TikTok notifications in your face while driving.
You can watch so many ads at the same time if you layer these.
What happens if it gets a stuck or broken pixels???
Great song lyrics. Very well done.
Nice song and composition by the way. 😂🎉😊
When I was a kid see the insides transparent Radios were a thing.
Yet Hatsune Miku is still trapped in a regular TV screen
With MicroLED you can get up to a whopping 15000 nits and more if you wanted... You can imagine how relaxed it must be running at 1000 or 2000 nits... No degrading organic liquids, just solid state LEDs per sub pixel!
love that song
It’s crazy that no one has realized that this tech is about to go wild when it gets put implemented into Smart Glasses…
If I ever find one of these in the trash, what type of paint should I use on the back of it to make it into a TV?
Sam:- "You may have heard recently"
[ಠ_ಠ]:- No! I wasn't from those hundreds of thousands of viewers.
You and icejjfish should make a song together! 😅
would be used most likely in retail settings, many stores here use projectors or something onto their windows and they aren't the greatest looking.
THE SONG!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great song🎉
That song 😂
So it's like a big rectangle of google glass.
Sam must be a professional vocal trainer.
Idk why display companies keep trying to sell us transparent screens. The contrast is gonna be shit and anything other than a black screen in the back is gonna make it borderline unusable. It’s like the 3D tv fad except worse and it won’t die
I've got a 42" 3D TV, not because I wanted a 3D TV, just it happened to be one of the cheapest TV's I could get with the amount of inputs I wanted* (was from Tesco Outlet (returned goods, because of fault or slight cosmetic damage)) Only thing I've found wrong with it, is if you set the date and time, it doesn't stay set, but since I use it as a monitor rather than a TV, I have no need for the TV to know what time/date it is.
*4xHDMI, Component, Composite, 2XScart, RF aerial (ANT).
It's for industrial purposes. Businesses are going to use it to showcase their products like on a window or something.
I don't think they're trying to sell YOU the screen if they're pricing the displays for over $100k... This is targeted towards businesses. And who cares if this thing is on sale? Just don't buy it (if you even can).
I have a transparent screen. Sometimes I open it, but then it gets cold so I close it again
I can only imagine many layers put together. a real 3d! 50 layers tv. that would be crazy!
This guy is sooooo funny 😂
So now we can enjoy Station logos on top without burning the underlining screen. Or...an Ad layer.
Cor! You actually pronounced that "ö" correctly.
so full-screen phone would come true, where u can hide the camera under the display??
I agree that Its a technical innovation but transparent screens on anything doesn't really make a lick of sense at all, unless maybe a window? A very expensive and unnecessarily complex window.
Imagine that tech in the window of a flagship Nike shop. Thats where this Tech will excel! Probably not ment for domestic homes.
so now if you guys come up with a way to do this with car winshields and augment reality for road illumination we can finally do away with bright headlights shining in our faces at night. theres your free billion dollar idea, please make it happen
i just want it to happen
They've been showing off those transparent TVs on Star Trek Discovery for the past few seasons lolololol, somehow the show got a few of them for the film set.
Well, at least it can project warning sign so people in movies would stop running through it while workers are caring it on street
Maybe they want to put these in car windshields. 😂
What people don't understand about transparent display is how innovative the use cases will be such as volumetric display. Same people who criticize this will go bonkers when apple will launch something similar in 10-15 years
Why do u even need that glass?!
Just make a horizontal led projector that pops up the tv once put on...
That way u even save space
I want a transparent TV PC case side panel
ngl that song was amazing
transparent screen would look amazing for augmented reality devices
150,000??? 😮
That’s like 50 Vision Pro… or a new luxurious car… or down payment for new home… for a price of one TV.
They must be made of transparent aluminium...("how do we know he DIDN'T invent transparent aluminium?")
For some reason I understand this guy!
