This is a great video, but one thing to note, if your friends kick you out of their friendgroup and someone doesn't like you because of the phone you use, you have the wrong friends.
It's not exactly the same thing, but a friend once made fun of me for having a phone with a home button, and then proceeded to call another friend over to tell him about it as well. The other friend didn't care, so that let me know who the real friend was.
Apple didn't GIVE you shit. They sold it to you. And it's really sad and pathetic that so many people buy into such obvious, desperate marketing gimmicks. The idea that you can spend more money for lower quality and less features and still come out feeling like you're better than people who don't fall for that is literally everything wrong with marketing (or right with it, depending on whether you're in marketing or not)
Agreed! The brand they have created over the years is what allows them to sell it to you. And like you said, their marketing can make you feel things that are objectively not true! Lot's to learn
I've owned mostly androids, Samsung, Huawei and Oneplus, but iPhones are very well made products and they evolved so much since early verions (both quality and software). Nowadays they offer more than a product, they offer an experience. That's what they actually sell: an experience, not a product. And having a phone packed with lots of features which you may not use at all is not a better experience, in my opinion. I've been there, wanting features on Android that Apple would take years to provide on their phones but ended up using that feature once or never (for exemple the stylus on a Galaxy Note phone). I'm not an android fan nor an Apple fan. Apple prices s*ck, for example. They ask too much for a phone but nevertheles iPhones are good phones.🙂 P.S. If they haven't been banned on using GMS, maybe today Huawei would have been the king on the block and most likely I would have own a Huawei since they have the best camera available on a smartphone.

Apple doesn't make the best products anymore. Samsung is beating them in every aspect, its just the ecosystem being hard to leave. they know android is better, they're just stuck.
@@xaviermoorman6247 I'd be curious to try android, but part of it might be the slightly weird, tacky-looking mascot for android(the green guy, yes, I'm talking about it!). It's the same for Linux, with the tacky looking penguin, but I will say, it's MUCH more complex than just mascots and logos and the whole "don't judge a book by its cover", cause you literally can do that, and still end up getting scammed because of the shear plethora of companies that exist + how they can lock you into an ecosystem, so... Business-nerds got it good!
As a user of both - apple is not just phones. They don't make the best Phones / by far / from some time now. Try beating a Macbook in creative task workload tho ... they are expensive but man are they the best laptops for creative work.
Apple has lost track of their best customers. I used to heavily recommend them to folks with zero interest in tech and an active commitment to never learning anything. The removal of the home button on iOS proves this. The home button allowed tech illiterate folks to open the escape hatch and immediately find themselves in familiar, safe territory. No matter how deep they got into some scary unknown place, they knew they could get back to safety instantly. Try explaining the upward swipe to your illiterate grandmother. Watch as she accidentally activates multitasking. Check out the look of fear on her face when you tell her what multi tasking is. You’ve just convinced her that this thing is too complicated. Even if she pretends that she is going to use it, she is simply going to toss it in a drawer or carry it around in her purse with a dead battery.
There are some people like that, but normal people won't understand what's going on inside their head when it comes to this sort of thinking. 🤔🤔🤔 Either that or is just to flex on other people that don't care about this just to make themselves feel good about themselves for their inferiority complex.
I only look down on people who are biased to one side… Android or iOS I personally have both and know that no matter what fanboys of either side say, no brand is objectively the best because they each do some things well and some things poorly, and you should just buy the one that does the things you care about most the best.
Nah, I used to also think both were good and fanboys were silly, well not anymore. I bought an iPhone 15 Pro for the first time to try iOS out and now I know for a fact Android is far superior in every aspect except exterior design. Neutral people are just weak like I was, at least Apple fanboys have passion, they're stupid for sure but nonetheless.
@@hclazarin there’s a Linus tech tips video called “10 ways iPhones are just better” which kind of disproves your whole theory there And the best part of it is In the 5 years since that video came out, almost none of those issues have been addressed by Android But if you watch the Linus tech tips video on 10 ways Android is better, iOS has addressed multiple of those points Just because you had a bad experience with iOS doesn’t mean they are objectively worse in every way. So I stand by what I said Being a fanboy is stupid Especially when you call Apple fanboys or Android fanboys stupid, while being a fanboy of the other team
@@himynameisryan On the very contrary, it completely proves it. Always talking about security, ecosystem, smoothness, and blah, blah, blah that's exactly what I bought into and why I thought iOS was better even though I was an Android user and had never used iOS, the truth is that's just marketing. Some points might have been true in 2018, but not anymore. Objectively, nowadays, Samsung phones, for example, are far superior in all those categories, and the iPhone is only better in exterior design and camera, but not by much. Take the S24U for instance, anything you can do with an iPhone you can do with the S24U including the "mythical" iMessage(with a workaround, I'll grant that but still), that sentence does not apply the other way around at all There is a reason most iPhone users are teenagers and old people, insecurity and tech illiteracy respectively. Even that guy in the video is now a Samsung user lol.
I recenetly upgraded from an iphone 13 pro to an s24 ultra and it has been incredible the only thing ive missed is imessage becaue apple is stupid and isnt adding full rcs support. I dont think android is just the "if you cant afford an iphone" option becasue androids can be far better than the best iphones. The only thing iphones really have over androids at this point are apple services such as apple wallet, imesssage and icloud.
The new school im in,most of the students use android.. this year 70% of the school population switched to apple products, i rlly see the influence of the apple products.
I gotta admit, Apple is great. BUT... For reparability, I absolutely hate them for it. Pairing some of the parts to the device to prevent repair is just wrong. I love Android. I think it's awesome and no, I'm not poor, I don't want an iPhone. I'm happy with the device I have.
Today's mission (applicable only for Apple users): Buy a maxed out Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the most expensive Microsoft Surface device if you truly are rich.
Apple Ecosystem is not way ahead like it used to be, Samsung has cool features like Dex, Quick Share (which is faster than AirDrop in most cases) and Samsung also has their laptops with features that allow you to mirror your screen, use your tablet as your secondary screen etc. Apple just locks down users with exclusive stuff, if it wasn't for that, a lot of people would switch over to Android. And optimization matter is a thing of the past since 2020-2021. I have an S20 FE (a cut-down flagship from 2020), runs really well and has some features even the baseline 2023 iPhone lacks like a telephoto camera, 120 Hz screen, Desktop mode via Dex, reverse wireless charging, Pro Video built in so you can get more noisy and grainy but far more detailed videos at night or fix the shutter speed, ISO etc. for consistent shooting. iPhones, since 11 series, never got an actually big upgrade. A lot of people are sticking to their 11s because of this. I mean, there are lots of things that were updated but still, not significant enough. So, except for specific things like general video quality, social media apps and ecosystem, Android devices offer the same or a better experience in a lot of aspects. Lag is a thing of the past now.
American consumers are far more gullible and technically challenged. Android dominates European and Asian markets. I expect things to start shifting in the US with iOS's adoption of RCS later this year. Good video.
If iPhone don't improve as fast as android it will eventually fall because how long people will buy iPhone for it's luxury and exclusiveness eventually the iPhone will be saturated in market and you can't run business on imessage and airdrop feature and for quality features people will try other options. Apple's vision pro was massive innovation and i think it could have a big hand in ecosystem, and it's one of the only thing which is saving apple.
@ehtasam2080 Every innovative product isn't perfect at its initial launch it improves over time. The vision pro too, and I believe Apple will refine it. This is just the beginning of a new wave of advancements. Similarly, AI is on the rise and will likely improve faster cuz software innovations typically progress more rapidly than hardware. Well whatever happens in the future as a consumer it will be fascinating to see
Heard this line on the internet " If apple decides to slaps an apple 🍎 logo on any other product people will buy it" because it's all about symbol of high status.😂😂😂
@ehtasam2080 Yes Vision pro builds on existing AR technology but calling it only improved AR overlooks it's innovative aspects. Apple tried to take it to the level which will make us feel to be closer to future and set a whole new benchmark for future AR devices and I think innovations aren't about being first but about making meaningful advancements yet I completely agree with you
"People who buy Androids over iPhones have their own issues too"? What a moronic ending, especially given it is immediately following up "people like different things for different reasons". This video is so hilariously biased because every other sentence is just singing Apple's praises, with the second last sentence being the only nuanced perspective presented in the video. I usually try to be supportive where possible in comments but this video doesn't present any valuable or novel perspectives and the video reads like you are defending why someone would buy an Apple product over an Android OS product, rather than actually exploring why Apple seems to have such a grip on North American youth. The only point made (that has been countless times before) is that the Apple ecosystem and iMessage aim to keep users within the Apple bubble and isolate non-Apple users, but I find it difficult to believe that anyone felt enlightened by your discussing this. The production indicates that you were genuinely trying to make a good video here, and I believe that you are capable of it, but this video does not come across the way you wanted it to.
The green and blue bubble thing is just so mean. i hate that people discriminate, insult, bully, and isolate others with that. Easily divided by an app, ridiculous. I'm happy that i live in a continent that doesn't use iMessage
The video doesn't even explain the subject : it's because of misplaced sense of vanity that these consumers placed on a 'thing'. Normal people hating on 'green bubbles' because they bought a 'thing' that's different from the 'thing' the other person bought.
Macbooks really feel like propaganda, they are well made, well designed, macOS looks like a science computer OS, and overall Apple makes their machines look like they cost 7000 dollars to make. AND THEY OVERCHARGE FOR THEM!

As an embedded hardware/firmware/software engineer, I dislike anything Apple and Microsoft related. - Microsoft has become to pushy with advertisements, online accounts, updates, etc ... Half their OS is unstable, doesn't work, slow, etc ... - Apple has always felt like a manufacturer of Fisher-price toys to me, build for those who are technically inept but think they're tech experts... The only tech I need in life is, - My Android phone that I can root and run a custom Android mod on - My Linux Laptop - My Linux desktop... Anyone who thinks they're superior for wasting money on overpriced and dumbed-down tech-toys, are classified as mentally impaired in my books...
i can finally send pictures to my grandma without them being at 180p, thanks to GOOGLE... No seriously. I am so glad that Google had the thought of switching to a whole new messaging system just to push Apple to switch to it and fix the quality issues.
At least I have a phone to use. I'm always grateful for it. If they discriminate android users then so be it. And I also don't care about trends. I am free to use what I can or what I want
Most of the software-exclusive ecosystem features have an Android equivalent, the problem is that, in the US at least, the majority use iPhone exclusive features only without even considering using alternative messengers, video calling apps, file sharing solutions, etc.
I buy the phone that I want, and Apple selling phones with 60hz lcd screens at high prices don't make sense to me. I would prefer to get a high quality amoled display without paying the pro max price.
i thought this is going to be next android fanboy yelling how apple users are dumb, but i am pleasantly surprised, both with the script and the quality. some great point, i think the greenbubble thing is only in US though. i also really think that over the years some of this ostracism might have been a product of the internet stupid war over android vs ios, the more android lovers are calling apple users "sheeps" the more the apple users are separating themselves from these people perceiving them as "just mad because they dont have apple" thats a double-edged sword in hands of both sides. honestly the world would be a much better place if both sides' fanboys stopped fighting over these big corporations

Before you blame me socially, I want to preface by saying that I am not socially obnoxious by any means, and there are a ton of people who wish they could play in our league at work that would love my spot, but they want me in the league. That being said. They have a group chat with all 11 other people, and they specifically do not include me because I use an android. Simple as that.

It's simple. If Apple truely made the best products like is believed then they wouldn't actively be nerfing their own users experience with other brands. As their marketing claims of Jobs in the video. They would make the Apple watch work across brands like others did. They wouldn't kneecap other watches so they can't work their abilities in iPhones. They would have iMessage (if it's so amazing) available. They if caring about security moved beyond sms years ago, and implement security in RCS. As per their legal challenges, they base their entire operation on marketing manipulation of their own users. It's mind boggling that apparently "free thinking" individuals feel they are superior paying a premium to get locked into extremely limited choice. If Apple owned this platform there wouldn't be a single video even remotely like this. Bug tech isn't good but Apple does stand out with documented internal malice intent.
I really dont see why apple users care so much about weather there friends have an adriod or not. Green text bubbles arent going to hurt anyone, and im sure theres a work-around to the video quality. But what videos were you going to send them anyway other than just a truckload of stupid instagram memes 🤦♂️.
Using both IPhone and Pixel, can't say that any of them is better or worse, samsungs on the other hand is bloated trash, used to use them until S21 understood as waste of money, Androids last 2 years at max, Iphones you can still pick up the S6 and it will still perform better then 2 year old android, People so angry saying Apple is not good, yes it doesn't have features that don't work, like android :D
[4:39] Samsung invented "AirDrop" in 2012 under the name "S Beam"😊. The same is with the Honor MagicCapsule and my Moto G31 (previous phone) had a SEPERATE button for google assistant (Moto G31 was released on 6th December 2022)
i do not feel ostracised by apple users, i feel apple users ostracizing themselves. 1. be a bit of a nerd and look behind GUIs and 2. watch a few early videos of louis rossman trying to fix apple products and 3. compare actual features apple is many years behind in adding to their stuff and 4. how GHASTLY they avoid reparing of their shit and you'll inevitably understand that you, who is narrating this video, are on a very very wrong course in believing apple is any better and worth the money it costs. although you are describing everything intellectually, you still fall victim to everything of it emotionally. you repetetively saying "better product" is MINDBOGGLING.
I don't hate iPhone or Android users. I have used both iPhone and Android phones. I like Android more than IOS just because of the flexibility it provides me. Similarly, I use Linux for its greater flexibility but there are better features on windows for sure. My biggest problem with modern young people is why not leave other people alone. Who cares if person a has an Android phone and person B has an iPhone. I mean come on people does it hurt you when someone is different than you? No, I will not conform to society because if everyone is the same the world would be very boring.
The reason people believe Apple products are good is because they have an incredible level of polish and attention to detail. While it's definitely nice, it does little to actually improve usability or overall quality. A vast majority of MacBook models have had issues, from display assemblies breaking, to CPUs dying from ambient humidity, to the infamous butterfly keyboard. They're also often poor value. No MacBook comes with a touch screen, and some models still only have 8gb of ram and 250gb of storage for $1000 MSRP, while the competition offers double that for 30% less money. iPads are just one step above an iPhone, while Samsung Tabs are one step away from being a full blown PC. And Android has fantastic offerings like the OnePlus Open or the Galaxy S24U, while Apple has been selling the same phone for 3 years now. They can afford to be complacent and mediocre because they have a cult following and people will buy their stuff regardless of how behind, outdated, mediocre, or overpriced it is.
I want to know why the hell my macbook disconnects my Android file Transfer when I use a 3rd party cable ( which works very fine on my windows for file transfer ) but when I use the apples own cable it connects perfectly.
Apple didn't give anyone anything. People should take responsibility for their own awful behaviour. If I buy a Bugatti & think I'm better than everyone, that's my problem/fault, not Bugatti's.
So... what's the issue with buying an Android no matter what? No really, what is it? Being able to side load? Jailbreak our phones? The only issue I see here is how we don't wanna spend an arm and a leg on something so meaningless. Besides, ya don't need some crazy expensive ass phone in order to play some low quality mobile games and to scroll on TikTok now do ya? Oh well, at least it was a fun video, even if it doesn't have a real takeaway to it. Wish ya the best of luck buddy!

Besides, ya don't need some crazy expensive ass phone in order to play some low quality mobile games and to scroll on TikTok now do ya? nope you don't but you want a usable experience 2 years later or even 3 years later and if you like to take pictures or videos a cheap android phone will be a no go
I only like apple because I'm a very rough, well kinda but i have a 2014 mac that was dropped 5ft, the motherboard was bent, i accidentally pushed the ram too hard in. But it still works. Even leave it on sometimes overnight for weeks- it hasn't effected it at all. But my 400$ windows pc exploded brand new. (It was a RGB gaming pc) The mac was only 100$ and its better then the windows one. I actually have a windows pc/laptop graveyard. Never had one that last more than 3-6 months before dying or getting hot and exploding. Ive had the iMac for 4 years now. It doesn't get updates anymore but using Open-Core I'm able to get the latest updates :)
Here in Europe (well, at least in the basque country), the blue vs green bubble drama isn't a thing, as nobody uses iMessage. Instead, we rely on Whatsapp or Telegram, which don't differenciate between Android and iPhone. Plus, iPhones are quite common, but not dominant. I switcherd from an iPhone to an Android some years ago and wasn't treated differently by those who still used iPhones.
Where are all these iPhone users? I only know a handful of people that have one. I'm not hanging out with the poor am I? Am I the poor? Surely not. Surely...
Let me tell you why people hate iphone cause thry can't afford it, and for the past reason android make both flagship and lowend so it has become such distaste like you know the feeling tha this phone will get slow and laggy over the month and it happens in flagship like the s24 but no matter how much Samsung tries or other androids tries You can't be Beat the one Test that I see every year with iphone vs Samsung Video rendering test, IN THAT TEST IPHONE ALWAYS I MEAN FROM 2017 TO FROM 2024 ALWAYS BEATS IT, You may say dude but I don't edit videos on my phone, yes i get it but that the power of that CPU/GPU requires to Daily social media task which android get slower handling in the time passes , It all the powers needed to function in a phone it needs a powerful chipset that Iphone and MacBook has, So they're always gonna be the Top.

Business-nerds got it good!
The ecosystem is definitely a huge barrier! I kinda like Apple products though haha. Thanks for watching!!
They never made the best product, they sold the best image. Even the Zune was better than the iPod, it was just marketed horrendously and came late.
As a user of both - apple is not just phones. They don't make the best Phones / by far / from some time now. Try beating a Macbook in creative task workload tho ... they are expensive but man are they the best laptops for creative work.
In every aspect?
You don't even have the best screen anymore, cos apple now has Tandem OLED buddy.

Gen Z, millennials, Scammers...
I only look down on people who are biased to one side… Android or iOS
I personally have both and know that no matter what fanboys of either side say, no brand is objectively the best because they each do some things well and some things poorly, and you should just buy the one that does the things you care about most the best.
@@hclazarin there’s a Linus tech tips video called “10 ways iPhones are just better” which kind of disproves your whole theory there
And the best part of it is
In the 5 years since that video came out, almost none of those issues have been addressed by Android
But if you watch the Linus tech tips video on 10 ways Android is better, iOS has addressed multiple of those points
Just because you had a bad experience with iOS doesn’t mean they are objectively worse in every way.
So I stand by what I said
Being a fanboy is stupid

@@himynameisryan On the very contrary, it completely proves it. Always talking about security, ecosystem, smoothness, and blah, blah, blah that's exactly what I bought into and why I thought iOS was better even though I was an Android user and had never used iOS, the truth is that's just marketing.
Some points might have been true in 2018, but not anymore. Objectively, nowadays, Samsung phones, for example, are far superior in all those categories, and the iPhone is only better in exterior design and camera, but not by much. Take the S24U for instance, anything you can do with an iPhone you can do with the S24U including the "mythical" iMessage(with a workaround, I'll grant that but still), that sentence does not apply the other way around at all
There is a reason most iPhone users are teenagers and old people, insecurity and tech illiteracy respectively. Even that guy in the video is now a Samsung user lol.

Good video.
nah, it's more like "first world countries problems"
