How would a t430i version thinkpad with i3 3110m dual core 16gb upgraded ram run with gtx 1650 egpu in newer modern titles like warzone 2 counter strike 2? World Of Warcaft

Thunderbolt 3 cable into Thunderbolt 3 port on back on p51, I've got a lenovo legion booststation eGPU caddy

Let me do some research and get back to u, but my instincts say the p52, as ull have more compatibility moving forwards
@@TechDave thank you sir for replying, I have a bit of concern about p52 because of the thermal throttling problem, which makes me worried.
@papadalbo1997 I only have the p51, so I can't speak to that issue, however I've been able to push my p51 pretty far (I use it with an eGPU) gaming wise, and ableton 11 and davinci resolve etc. Yet to notice Any thermal throttling, but I haven't been looking for it if u see what I mean
@@TechDave thank sir for the follow-up, just in case are P51 still reliable in these years? For gaming wise too is it do the job? Or do I need to find the Nvidia mx series? , with a tight budget, I stressed out about which one should I buy
@papadalbo1997 it's a 7th gen i7 (or xeon with same cores slightly higher clock speed). I've kitted my out with 32gb ddr4 2400mhz (with two slots left for future upgrades) windows 10 Pro & an external gpu (lenovo legion booststation + RX 6600 8GB), thus far I haven't had many games I can't play at 1080p high-ultra settings. If ur aiming for 4k & windows 11, unfortunately I'd recommend looking elsewhere. The built in quadro m2200 4gb, is pretty decent (I can edit 4k30fps footage- generate optimised media first- in davinci) for editing and non-gaming applications, but I'd say personally, if ur not looking to spend £200(booststation) + the price of an external gpu, its not really the right device for gaming. Better to look towards a more recent model, or even a lenovo legion type device, as the built in gpus/cpus are gonna stand the test of time for longer.
My intention with my p51 is to migrate the laptop to Linux when win10 shuts down/stops getting updates (as the cpu is not suported) and then buy another laptop with eGPU/thunderbolt 3/4 and use it with my egpu. Probably something from the x1 carbon line, or even build a desktop. For me the workflow of having a portable device that then becomes a desktop when needed if how I work best, ultimately I'd defp recommend a more recent unit *if* ur needs don't meet that criteria. And as has been pointed out before in comments, an all in one solution such as the lenovo legion line, may be better value for money

It's pretty badass, I'm currently sat in my garden shed w/ an arcade machine/pc I built connected to the P51 & rx 6600 8gb (streaming games via my favourite software "Parsec") and my thinkpad x230 streaming the streaming pc and then I can call via discord to my streaming pc from the shed
In a nutshell I can stream from my garden
