Awesome video man! Better than a lot of the bigger TH-cam dudes reviews. Keep at it! Bike looks awesome, looking to get one my self soon!

Thanks for the feedback brother. I wish I could keep many bikes in my garage haha. I would keep the MT07 so I could learn how to wheelie, I can see it being a wheelie machine. But I can't afford to risk dropping it and losing a lot of value hehe. For what I need the bike for and the way I ride, I think a bike that is a bit more tamed at low speeds will be more suited for me. I am looking into the CB650R, which is a bit heavier, but has an inline four which sounds awesome and it is not as torquey at low speeds. The MT07 is more of a hooligan bike, not really just a daily commuter bike if you plan on ridding more chill lol

@@newbierides haha that makes sense! It’ll be a “commuter” for me, as in riding to work and back(and twisty roads when weather allows). But I’d probably hooligan it on my commute, so I’m sure I’ll love the bike. I’m here in Arizona, and the drivers here are wild. Most people drive around 80mph on freeways, but you’ll have a random person going 60 in the HOV. Causes lots of havoc. So it’d be nice to have the torque to get around people and stay away from traffic. Whether it’s normal roads or highway.
Anyway, CB650R looks like an awesome bike! Make it happen man! Ride safe and enjoy the bike when you get it!

@@MrMcReeties Oh yea man, if you have control to do wheelies and stuff this bike would be insanely fun. I'm just not that experienced and probably will never be a wheelie master haha. Overall this bike is just awesome, the only little issues I have is the torque being too much for me if I want to just chill and the weight on windy days on the freeway, but this bike is not really meant for that, so can't blame the bike for it.
Thanks for the support man, you ride safe as well.

GSX8S or the new Transalp on your list?

It seems like a nice bike, but seems a bit like the mt-07 with high power at low rpms. Which are great for fun, but I want something more chill smoother at low speeds. I don't have experience on other bikes, I also love the sound of the inline four too much, but have never tried one. So Im leaning towards the CB650R.
The perfect bike for me would be if Honda made the CB a 750cc inline four with the same weight as the 650. That would be awesome.

There is the gsxs 750 which is an inline four. But that one is pretty up there on weight.

We are the same hight and weight. I will go for a ride out in the country and tell myself that it's just for a nice relaxing ride. I wind up thrashing it around curves and hitting 70 on the straight stretches. After getting home and trying to wipe the smile off my face I will admonish myself for being such a hoodlum. By the way, I'm 69 years old. Do you know if the original owner changed out the throttle tube on the throttle. If he put on a sport bike throttle tube on it, it would be more twitchy.

I don't man, I think in general it is just not for me. I still love riding the bike, whenever I go out for fun it is awesome. Even most days when commuting as well. But there are days I just want to do a slow chill ride back home haha but the bike doesn't like that. It could be that it has an after marker exhaust and a power commander maybe that makes it a bit more aggressive. But overall I still love this bike. It is just not 'the one" for me.

I bought mine because I missed the excitement of riding a light sporty bike. I own a touring bike and also a cruiser. I use to own a Triumph Street Triple and I sold it because it was just too fast for me. I missed it after a while though. @@newbierides

@@lovingmylifeasIage6741 Nice, I want either a CB650R or an MT09. Both will still be pretty powerful and fun, but I hear they are smoother than the MT07. I've been leaning more towards the CB because it has a bit more weight so it might make freeway ridding more stable for me. It is very windy in my area, and I am 145lb. So having a bit extra weight on the bike might help with stability a bit more than the 07.

Have you looked at the new CB 750? More of everything but the price. @@newbierides

@@lovingmylifeasIage6741 not available in the US if you are referring to the hornet. I did look into the gsxs750 which seems nice but a bit too heavy. The cb650 is right in the middle between that one and the mt-07. In weight and power. I am not a big fan of the hornet looks, I've been really digging the looks on the cb650r and the inline four engine sounds way too sweet. But yes I wish the CB was 750 inline four with the same weight as it is now. Then it would be perfect.

Before ever riding on road one should ride on the dirt for at least a year to learn life saving skill’s.

I would love to have done that. But no opportunity living in the city. But I did take the safety course before I started ridding. Huge confidence boost and a lot of very useful safety information.
