Nice video! I test rode an FZ07 this past summer and I really like a lot. I'm only 5'11" and about 225 with full gear. My brother says that I looked too big for the bike but I disagree. I'm originally from Pittsburgh but I left in 1986. My whole family still lives there. The tunnel slow down phenomenon has been happening for many years. I can't explain why it happens. I visit every summer, in fact I was up in Greentree near where you started this video. I got fuel at that Marathon station just off of the parkway then rode down through Mt. Washington then into the South Hills area.
glad i stumbled across this. looking into getting an fz07 and have made many many memories in pitt. its an incredible city. get your ass to a bucco game, theyre alot of of fun. and the view from inside is one for the books.
I live in pittsburgh and I'm looking at the FZ-07 as a first bike. Completely stumbled on this video by accident. watch out for the tunnel monster! thanks for the video.
nice vlog...greetings from Germany, just bought my own fz07...really enjoyed the testride, so far....hope i will have fun with it the next few years. keep on going with those videos, it helped me a lot with my decisions :) good work!
Got the exact same bike. Originally I got it for my wife but after riding it a couple of times I cant stay away from it and I actually ride it more than my fireblade. Its just a fun bike to ride. I do recommend an aftrrmarket exhaust it just makes it so much better.
You was talking about the mirrors not working so good, there is help with the stock mirrors by adjusting them closer to the grips & then readjusting them to better angle, they only need to be moved a little to make a difference for you ?
I know the reason, why in Germany people start getting slower right before a tunnel. It's because in Germany there are often speed / radar traps in tunnels, so everybody is careful in there. Also a tunnel seems more dangerous kinda.
Just an FYI, you can buy the different color plastics from your Yamaha dealer for under $300 a set so if you want to order the Raven plastics, you can. I just purchased a 2016 Raven and ordered the 2015 white plastics since I really wanted a white FZ07. By the way, I'm also in the Pittsburgh area.
+Brap Mode I'm game, I should have my FZ sometime this week. There was a mix up from Yamaha and they sent two right side plastics vs a R & L side. I hope to have it by the weekend. I'm south of the city about 20 miles, plenty of twisty backroads down this way or out toward Oakdale/Robinson area.
nice review i got mine few weeks ago and its sucha fun bike, does it all pretty well imo. going for the yoshimura exhaust i think or termignion one. well keep the videos coming :) //greets from sweden
good stuff! this is the colour I will go for I'm doing a custom paint job but need the blue wheels. After I do the part 2 of my motorcycle test, been using the MT07 in my test it's a joy to ride plus it feels like you sink into the seat.
I'm probably going to be getting the MT-07 in a few weeks. I like your review, but do you still like it as much? I'm 97% sure I'm getting the MT-07, but 3% Vulcan S... Any cons? Any advice? Mostly town/city driving, but twice a year driving 2 hours on the interstate...
+Brap Mode sry, late reply :D Going black with gray gas-tank. was the best looking one of the ones i could choose from (black/red, black/blue/silver, black /w neon yellow rims. also have a full arrow exhaust (short) waiting for it in my garrage :D
Hey buddy thanks for an awesome review. Is it true the transmission is a bit clunky, not the first gear which I can imagine it would be on some Yamahas, but the rest of the gears? Thanks
how is the throttle response? is it smooth? i had an fz-09 and sold it because of the jerky throttle and went back to honda cbr but am considering adding this bike and having two bikes. i hated the throttle by wire of the fz-09. the fz-07 has a cable and i like that. thanks for the review.
+Louis Lemoine It is also a bit jerky but not as much as the fz-09. I did an r6 throttle swap which fix the issue for me! Check out my best mod got the fz-07 video.
Nice vid, I have 2016 fz-07 in the same color, Just love it!! I have the Yoshimura fender eliminator and the M4 exhaust with the db killer in. just great!!
nice bike. ive been eyeing the grey with the hi viz wheels. tired of riding my cbr600rr. theres some sort of yamaha sale at my local dealer. im check em out tomorrow! what was your OTD price???
Hey man, I'm looking at getting a new bike and would LOVE your feedback, I am in such a tossup. I am deciding between the Honda CBR 650f, Yamaha FZ-07 or 09, KTM 690 Super Duke, Kawasaki z800, and the MV Augusta Brutale 800. I'll be doing a lot of urban riding, cruising, and also a lot of longer rides (2-3 hours or more). What do you think is the BEST?
+Hunter Brander You want to do everything!! Lol its gonna be hard to find a bike that will do all those things. You want something you can through around in urban places AND comfortable enough to do few hours riding trips. Idk bro its a tough decision lol, maybe honda? Or look into lightweight cruisers/roadsters.
great video. I got the same bike but with neon green wheels. the bike feels good but like you said the mirrors are worthless. hopefully you can do a video on installing after market mirrors.
Brap Mode...I looked at this bike today in the same color. I love it. The only thing I noticed that was weird was it seems the handle bars mount had some flex in it...as if it were rubber mounted. Have you noticed this? And if so does it bother you while riding? Thanks
+2alphacpa No, I have not noticed anything like that. Although, I do feel shoulder pains with the stock handlebar, I am thinking about getting a different one.
The oil filter location was the same as my V-Strom, not great. I found a tin can that just slipped over the oil filter I painted it black and hopefully it will give some better protection. Not quite a skid plate but the price was right. Ron W
curious to know, why you mounted the bike from the right side. I wanted this as my first bike, but ended up getting the honda nc 700x. nice vid. sudded.
+1down 5up haha because I am tall and I can do that!! Its because I was too lazy to walk around. I actually looked into the nc700x and I thought it was a great bike! But i did not like the low revving engine.
+Brap Mode gotcha lol. your right about the low revs on the n.c. truth be told it's claim to fame is the m.p.g I've put 80 miles on her and still have 2 bars left. bought it with 2 miles, 1 month ago. fzo7 might be my 2nd bike.
+EAZYE-357 Its comfortable now that I have a windscreen. But it does vibrate a lot between 80-90MPH. I did test ride the FZ-09 - I will be doing a comparing video soon! So stay tuned.
Yes it does? He means if he wanted to spray paint the tank black, he would want to keep the factory stripes and FZ07 lettering on the tank, so he'd have to tape it off and it would be a more complicated paint job.
Hello , That bike looking nice , i wanna a advice if you can give me . I am looking one bike for trips and little powerfull , i have 2 options the Honda Nc750 and the Yamaha MT07 i know the Honda Nc750 isnt so powerfull , but is the only 2 choice for my pocket i dont wanna give more than 7.500 euro. What are you think is the best option ? Thanks a lot !
If you like to rev your bike a lot and get on the throttle - I would recommend the FZ-07. Because NC750 does not have a engine you can rev. i believe it only have 5-6k RPM. If you are pushing the bike it will run of the RPM very quickly. But if you need storage and you wont be pushing your bike a lot then get the NC750. Also, you said you are going to be doing long trips, the FZ-07 doesnt come with a windscreen but the NC750 does.
About to get one, cannot decide what colour :/ I think your combo is the best, I don't really like the fluro green rim optioned one, and the matte grey is a bit too dark... but I like the black rims haha
Hi man, I was curios since you said you came from owning a DRZ400. I am considering between an FZ-07 or a DRZ400. I'll be riding mostly on the street and in the windy mountain roads and I especially am looking for a maneuverable bike and one I can teach myself to do wheelies on. What's your opinion of the two bikes?
Alright that sounds promising. What's your opinion on the FZ's suspension? I've heard a lot of people don't like how soft it is and buy aftermarket springs for the front and set the rear suspension to the stiffest setting.
Hey Brap, nice review! Love the FZ-07. As soon as I started watching your video I was thinking "that's gotta be Pittsburgh" and then 10 minutes later your like "I live in Pittsburgh" haha. If it's not obvious I live in Pittsburgh, too. TUNNEL TRAFFIC- LOL...it's annoying as hell. Just started my channel ShookTube. Mostly stuff from Austin at this point (went to the MotoGP races). Be awesome to collaborate on something.
antonis tzonathan - Its considerate an intermediate naked. They tend to have about 60-70 hp at the wheel. To give you an idea, a supersport is about 120hp. The 300cc bikes have about 28-30hp.

So you're going to spray paint the only decently bright part of your bike black? I don't even know why you'd even consider this when you just mentioned the black sparrow factor?? And taping the graphics, man the outcome is guaranteed to be terrible. Nice review though
I just got a 2015 fz07 and tbh I don’t like it man. I previously had a 2008 Daytona 675 and once you go super sport I’m starting to think there’s no going naked. Not only that. The fz07 is a dinky parallel twin and sounds like a damn cruiser. The shifting is not as smooth and high way cruising is unbearable.
Yeah they are pretty different bikes. I think maybe the the triple from yamaha wouldnt have been a better choice, like the fz09. I came from an R6 to fz07, so I feel your pain. I have actually upgraded to the triple, videos coming soon!
I think we all would love to see more videos of the fz07 so please

i like the armor grey but this blue and grey looks so beast

+Kris Simon Lmao! Sucks for her. I know I will need invest in an exhaust soon!
You was talking about the mirrors not working so good, there is help with the stock mirrors by adjusting them closer to the grips & then readjusting them to better angle, they only need to be moved a little to make a difference for you ?
+ylism I will try that out, thanks! Will let you know how it works out.
I'm buying one in about month man I'm stoked as hell
I know the reason, why in Germany people start getting slower right before a tunnel. It's because in Germany there are often speed / radar traps in tunnels, so everybody is careful in there. Also a tunnel seems more dangerous kinda.
+Lvideo36 I don't think it's the same here in Pittsburgh. They're just scared...
I have the same bike with an M4 slip on...go for it, you'll love it.
+Amen Corner Do you need a fuel controller with the m4?
+Brap Mode I asked the dealership and he said I didn't.
+Xeon Nemesis I have colored my cars and bikes in the past. This bike will probably only cost me $20 :)
+Xeon Nemesis we should ride together sometime soon!
+Xeon Nemesis Oh that sucks! That sounds great. Direct message me on Instagram (Brapmode) when you're ready to ride!
Nice videos. Everyone loves the FZ07. I miss mine sometimes.
+Lucius Accelerated What did you trade it for?
Very nice review and superb bike! Enjoy it!
+slaWterCH thank you!
nice vlog man! look forward to seeing you develop and grow!
+blkpanther2k5 Thank you! Really appreciate the support.
nice review
i got mine few weeks ago and its sucha fun bike, does it all pretty well imo.
going for the yoshimura exhaust i think or termignion one.
well keep the videos coming :)
//greets from sweden
mama tapa shoulda gotten the ixil or whatevs it's called

Nice! Good luck!

Interesting review. I like your style.
+1990 Thank you!
awesome bike, getting one for myself in a month, can't wait ;) great video as well
+henrik998 which color are you going with?
+henrik998 i got mine 2 months ago and i can't ride it yet lol
+Brap Mode sry, late reply :D

Hey buddy thanks for an awesome review. Is it true the transmission is a bit clunky, not the first gear which I can imagine it would be on some Yamahas, but the rest of the gears? Thanks
How is it to ride at fast speeds? And why does almost no-one have a lava red one? Nice review!
+thefirebluesky 1 I spoke about the fast speed in the "Thing I Hate" video check it out!
how is the throttle response? is it smooth? i had an fz-09 and sold it because of the jerky throttle and went back to honda cbr but am considering adding this bike and having two bikes. i hated the throttle by wire of the fz-09. the fz-07 has a cable and i like that. thanks for the review.

Can you please make a video about adjusting the clutch?? I plan on getting my FZ 07 next spring!
+Gia Llama I'll include a short clip in my next vlog! :)
Nice vid, I have 2016 fz-07 in the same color, Just love it!! I have the Yoshimura fender eliminator and the M4 exhaust with the db killer in. just great!!
+S1 Awesome! I actually did a DIY fender eliminator for $16! You should check out that video of mine.
nice bike. ive been eyeing the grey with the hi viz wheels. tired of riding my cbr600rr. theres some sort of yamaha sale at my local dealer. im check em out tomorrow! what was your OTD price???
+maomaniarocks just under $8k. Not a great deal, but a fair deal.
Love the bike. I'm getting the exact same one from Yamaha, THIS WEEK!!
+Robert Wagner congrats! Its a great bike!

+Brap Mode very nice review
From Pittsburgh I see, totally subbed.
The oil filter location was the same as my V-Strom, not great. I found a tin can that just slipped over the oil filter I painted it black and hopefully it will give some better protection. Not quite a skid plate but the price was right.
Ron W
Yeah, it is very exposed to rocks etc.
+Ron Weiss Where did you find that?
Nice Video! I really like fz 07.
It would be nice if you make the video about clutch adjusting!!
Cheers!
+Gerardo Hurtado Will do :)
+Brap Mode Nice video by the way!! :P
great video, what brand gloves are those?
+n3mmy The link is in the bio of my recent video :)
Just watched this again. Do you still have the bike? I'd like to watch an update.
+1990 I do, i will definitely record an update if I get a decent weather one day :(

Very informative review, thanks!
+Andreas Mygland I am glad you found value in my video! Thanks for watching.
Your logic for spray painting the tank makes no sense lol
He might mean Plasti Dip
I think he meant the fact that dude didn't choose the black version cuz its not as visible yet he's considering painting it black.
DERP
Yes it does? He means if he wanted to spray paint the tank black, he would want to keep the factory stripes and FZ07 lettering on the tank, so he'd have to tape it off and it would be a more complicated paint job.
Nice bike i got the 2015 model i would like to see the vid for a tail eliminator.
+Chace Trepanier I just finished it today! Check out the pictures on Instagram (brapmode). I will post that video soon!
+Brap Mode Sounds good ill check it out

+camerongb If you get the Raven black, you can always plastic dip to different colors :)
are you in Renton Wa, the place your at looks very familiar
Did you do your own fender eliminator? How did it turn out? Did you make a separate video?
+psychofunksoldier02 I did! Check out my DIY fender eliminator video!
Brap Mode gracias!
Turn signals are designed not to break. When falling into something....
+Jeffro Bo Yes, I know the purpose of them, I was just referring to the looks :)
I'm guessing Pittsburgh, CA since you mentioned SF.
+johnydecali No, actually pittsburgh, PA. I was in SF last year. Miss the lane splitting so much!!!
Hi man, I was curios since you said you came from owning a DRZ400. I am considering between an FZ-07 or a DRZ400. I'll be riding mostly on the street and in the windy mountain roads and I especially am looking for a maneuverable bike and one I can teach myself to do wheelies on. +Uanoa Nelson Go with the FZ-07. Drz is so light, your going to be pushed around by the wind.
Alright that sounds promising. What's your opinion on the FZ's suspension? I've heard a lot of people don't like how soft it is and buy aftermarket springs for the front and set the rear suspension to the stiffest setting.
+Uanoa Nelson it really depends on your weight. I am planning on doing this soon, but changing the weight of the fork oil can really help!
Noticed you wouldn't split the lanes, is that illegal in Pitt?
+jae pae von Yup :(
I really want this bike , but I want abs and maybe a better paint scheme. Any word if the 2017 will have abs Brap Mode?
+Joseph Cordsen I have not heard anything yet. But i couldn't count on it, since this is a pretty cheap bike
Hey Brap, nice review! Love the FZ-07. As soon as I started watching your video I was thinking "that's gotta be Pittsburgh" and then 10 minutes later your like "I live in Pittsburgh" haha. +ShookTube For sure! I would love to. Shoot me an email brapmode@gmail.com
How is the engine heat from that bike? My R6 emits tons of engine heat!
+Jose Vazquez It's there but no way near as much as an r6. The highest temp I've seen is 195.
Hey man I'm from Cranberry, looking forward to getting the same bike. Maybe we can ride some time.
+Rafael Lima Of course! You can message me on Instagram or shoot me an email!
Very nice video (and bike 8-))
+Ceffoo From American Consumables thank you very much!
Bloody indicator. You forgot it a few times and it was bugging me the whole time xP
+6Twisted The enemy of every motorcyclist lol
in what categorie will the fz 07 will you consider it?
+antonis tzonathan I would categorize it into the street fighter category
antonis tzonathan - Its considerate an intermediate naked. They tend to have about 60-70 hp at the wheel. To give you an idea, a supersport is about 120hp. The 300cc bikes have about 28-30hp.
What's the name of the song in intro?
i wish to know too
soo cooool
Me too!!
Yamaha MT07
This bike pretty fast?
Big Trav yes but I believe it tops out around 120mph. 3.4 seconds to 60mph depending on the experience of the rider
eye adjusting from light to dark .
Thanks for great review, i'm kinda wanting to buy MT 07, but probaly moto cage version, it's nicer. I hate those inditicators tho xD It makes bike ugly from the front :D
New sub, great stuff. But why always the runny nose? Hahahahah Have a great one!
+ownTer Sooo coldddd!!
Pitsburgh!!! PNC Park :D
+Dong-Gun “TOMTOM” Lee It's a beautiful stadium!
what's the CCs for the fz07
+Gerwich Saint-Hilaire 689cc twin
I know this is an old thread, but you're in foster plaza haha
It sucks that you guys cant lane split. Being stuck between two cars is more dangerous than splitting! Come to CALI!
+somaspecialist I know! I was in Cali the entire 2015 and I loved it! I ride my R6 and drz all year round :)
totally wrong place, should have watched entire video, nice bike and review
Haha, no worries! and thank you!
What part of Pittsburgh?
+MColabine Downtown
+Brap Mode Ah ok....I live in Michigan now, but have some friends there around Munhall I visit every now and then. Great area.
+MColabine Well, if youre ever in town ans want to ride, let me know!
hi, i have been told by the salesman today that it has three driving modes; the A, B the and standard. is he wrong !!!!!!!!
+Elie Nehme Hes wrong!
the FZ-09 and FZ-10 both have 3 driving modes, the 07 does not and is not needed as the twin is not that powerful.
***** indeed
cmon man thing wouldnt have a chance against a literbike at any time lol
So you're going to spray paint the only decently bright part of your bike black? I don't even know why you'd even consider this when you just mentioned the black sparrow factor?? And taping the graphics, man the outcome is guaranteed to be terrible. Nice review though
uh wheels getting dirty is a problem. omg
not a hater ok...
I just got a 2015 fz07 and tbh I don’t like it man. I previously had a 2008 Daytona 675 and once you go super sport I’m starting to think there’s no going naked. Not only that. Brap Mode ah I gotcha. I bet the fz09 is nice
XSR actually :)
LEAVE THE CLUTCH ALONE! Just need to keep properly adjusted and learn to use it. If it is not at the proper distance then you can't use it properly.
