- NACA Ducts, The submerged air intake with purpose of inducing high pressure air with the least amount of drag unlike an air scoop, We explain the theory, logic and goal that NACA had for the design.
We also discuss the potential use of it, from a conventional to an unconventional application, we cover the design principles and the aspect ra and measurements when making one. We identify the current use from a

As we mentioned the aspect of aerodynamics and physics related to the velocity stacks we designed, the video can be found here

Great video great content
Glad it’s creating more ideas for all :)
🔥🔥🔥👌
Fight fire with fire! 😎
Can anybody chime in? I want to install a naca duct on my front bumper right below my headlight to pull air from outside into a cold air intake box.
well that works but if it’s front facing then it could also just be an opening…which would function well too
Always wondered why these ducts were designed like that and what they were called. couldn't find any info till now. Thanks.
Oh that’s nice to know… glad on that man!
What if you did it outlet for your exhaust that way toward the surface of your car and a reverse
actually that could work in “reverse” but not just a plane ole megaphone
The “reverse” is actually reverse
bisi Ezerioha did this on his All Motor set up years back
😎🙏🏎🎯
CivRv might find a few useful things on this fo sho when it’s busy busting opponents chops ftw
Another interesting thing with NACA ducts: th-cam.com/video/rtEsdUzlIEk/w-d-xo.html
Actually yeah that video I watched years ago and it’s what made me study it further
“Reverse” ftw
Like in F1 it was called “chimney” mainly cuz they had to move it away to a clean air stream lol
@@SRDmotorsports Sorry, commented too quickly while watching, it was so good backwards it was banned by Nascar 😁
@@findtherightbeat I figured hahaha that’s why I didn’t say “I said it”
But I agree when it gets banned? It means it’s epic
I know in F1 the chimney was banned too so Mercedes AMG just found a loophole so it wasn’t an issue
@@SRDmotorsports True with it being an epic advantage when it gets to the point of being banned 😁 But the good thing is with the internet we get access to white papers and research documents that we can apply to whatever hobby or practical application we have! 🍻
@@findtherightbeat yes sir! Cool story:
Bongs last work the Green EG hatch track car? That was paraded in BRC after his passing…
Prior to its completion we (me and him) always spent time analyzing Carlos go’s Gt40 in Autoplus… and told him about the aero tricks one he applied was
Tilt the radiator upwards (facing rear Ofcourse)
And had a Stage21 Fiberglass monster hood not cf so we can mod it…
He had his worker mod it in ways that the monster hood was a direct enclosure and path from behind the tilted radiator…
