We also cover things about Piston rings and thread lubrication on the mains and head studs. We hint on the following episode by suggesting to watch this Crankcase evacuation video here

      I mean granted we can use my ecu and get an adapter for just the dyno session however the 1hr fee we gotta look into but yeah that’s only if he has no plans on going obd1 that’s possible right?

    Nice sl@sh, you touched on the subject of piston "alog"
    I remembered my first engine swap on my hatch way back early 2000s when i got a used PH16 engine from a local ESi. Had it refreshed with new OEM valve seals, etc. and also noticed some rocking movement of the the pistons just like in your vid. I can still recall being frustrated and worried but not the mechanics as they just smiled and seeing their calmness totally eased my mind. After all they've got tons of experience compared to me haha🤭
    You really have to trust the right people 😉

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      So true on “trust”
      I touched up on it as I’ve talked to several peeps that changed blocks? Because their “trusted” builder said “may alog” ?!?
      Funny enough they also had a block to sell to the owner haha duh

    any idea anout oversize piston for ph16?

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      what’s the question 75.5mm and 76mm isn’t considered big bore so it’s nots used for power gains but to correct piston to wall

    @Built_it_by-alex ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey, what's up man? 😎 Very good build but did you weigh the pistons?

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh snap! That’s what I forgot to mention on the video geese and it’s already a 17min video haha
      Yes we did balance the pistons after cleaning the pistons we had it pressed out and quickly balanced to within 1gram (actually 0.1gram) then had it pressed (same day)
      Was gonna mention to check our earlier video on piston balancing had I mentioned it! :( my bad whoa
