I've done a few junk journals, but they still seem intimidating, so I tend to stick to altered books. Even though I've watched dozens of tutorials, this has to be one of my favorite and makes me feel confident in making more junk journals.

I noticed you didn't fold in the corners of the fabric and I used to think that was not something good because of the fraying but I actually quite like that look, and I'm thankful you don't use book corners to me that is an unnecessary added purchase. Thank you so much for this tutorial and all of your videos.
Hello there, Providing there is a good line of glue, the fabric should not fray past that. I love tatty, I cold fold in but it is not the look i like and also this is much easier for beginners :-D. Thank you so much for watching and I am glad you enjoyed it x

wow, do I overdo my journals! It takes me weeks sometimes, and less pages, mine are seeming to be more of an art journal with stenciling, tags tabs pockets and envelopes and fold outs... and you did this lovely book in 48 minutes...clearly I need to dial it back, hahah. Thank you for a new perspective...learning things in a new way. Loved the video! xo, K.
Hehe, it was not really 48 minutes, it was a full day and I would certianly decorate further sometimes. It is good sometimes to strip things back though x
