    These are great!! I'm betting I can't do it! Gonna try.
    Since the internet, copyright laws are very limiting. It used to be that you could use anything if you didn't sell it. Edith Holden estate has a restriction against even using images in any book you make at all, but I still see people on the internet using these pages in journals they sell. Be brave but careful!!

      For my own projects, I use whatever I want.
      I find it understandable that one can`t sell and make money from things that had been created by others, though :)

      @@lechat8533 Of course. But it never was illegal to show something on a video with no intention of selling it. That's what's changed.

    So cute!! Tracie, I would love to have you do a longer video about copyright! We don’t expect you to be a lawyer and in fact it varies from country to country but I would really like to know more. I actually thought that rubber stamps etc were also copyrighted. So complicated for my little brain!! P.s. I wonder if you could have a pop-up heart, flower, etc. if it was strategically placed at the point that shows through the middle opening when your pouch is closed?? Love them!

    I'm a little confused about the copyright portion of this video. Are the book pages, and stencils free from copyright? Are the images you used of the mushrooms and butterflies done using AI or did you paint them and turn them into printables?

    • @thecheekynaildresser
      @thecheekynaildresser 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      usually you can obtain images from a site like Creative Fabrica ect where your membership comes with Licensing and allows you to use the images on things you make and sell

    • @TracieFoxCreative
      @TracieFoxCreative  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      These are all different answers, books, stencils, stamps stickers etc all have their own copyright, terms of use and this is what you would need to research on your own items. The book is ok to share, the stencils I am not selling digitals using the design. X

  • @DebbieZagarit
    @DebbieZagarit 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I've been paranoid about copyright for years. Unfortunately the new AI stuff doesn't care. I had a weird thing on copyright last week when fb and other apps crashed. I put my facebook as I have for years, in the description bit. After uploading it had been removed due to my account supposedly containing porn and nudity😂 I checked the url and the 7 was missing. I then checked to see whose account it was, It was a young mum. lovely fb page with pics of the kids and her and hubby. That's a lesson for me to double check even if its my account showing lol. I have these boxes on my desk for bits when making a journal. They are so useful and if the get ink on them it doesn't matter. love your pouches. Hugs xxx

    Love this project! Thank you for sharing this. I have a suggestion about the thinner paper needed for this project. I love and have many old Tim Holtz papers that would be too thick for this. But let's say you have that brand or any other brand of thick papers that you love the images on, but need thinner paper....I have a scanner printer combo, so I scan the papers and print on thinner papers. Ex: Linen paper 28 pound copy paper etc. Hope this helps those who may not already do that. :) You are so entertaining!! (the flip off thingy) As I watched this video I realized years ago I made my Christmas cards one year with this same folding. Then inside I put paper tree ornaments I made as well, inside and sent them out to family and friends. Just a little idea for everyone on another way to use this wonderful project.

    I agree with following the rules regarding copyright items. But I do have a laugh about brochures - they are meant for advertising (which means to attract people). It seems like the places of interest should be paying you to use the brochures on your channel where more people would see them. I love the pouches.

I had forgotten all about it until you showed it again, and I thank you, it is a fun project to use flat in journals, but with heavy stock the boxes are very useful for small items and you an glue them together in a row.
