@@LordFarrquaad Yeah I dont use social media sites except for youtube. Its really a shame they don't have a website though, they have one of the biggest selections Ive ever seen anywhere. I'd be a great customer :)
How do you have so many parts? Every bikeshop in my area is out of almost everything. I even been lied too saying they had parts i was looking for just to get me in their shop.
6:57 Reach on the stem matters as well i've got a 53mm reach stem because i'm tall and its a top load and ive got 9.25 rise bars give you more leg room 👍
I run a 10" bar 15mm headset cap and shadow treymone top load. No matter if i change to 20mm headset cap and 9.5 bars, nothing feels quite as good as the 10's and 15m cap
Thanks for sharing your knowledge Alfredo!!! I appreciate that you take the time to make all these videos. I've learned a lot from your channel. Thanks again sir!
I remember when 28x8 handlebars were big back in the day and 10" and 11" rise bars are to tall I stick around 8" to 8.75" rise front load stem inline with the same angle as my fork.
Liking the bike info vids hadn’t thought about bar flex but yeah also I feel bottom bracket height changes how high your bars feel if your bbh goes down a 1/4 inch it will feel like your bars are that much bigger anyway keep the good work coming enjoying the bike tech
I just bought a SE Flyer 29" & im looking for new bars. Im 6ft & im wanting bigger bars for more comfy ride. Im looking at S&M hoder 9.5 bars. You think those would be to big for a 29" cruiser? Im wanting the best ride i can get
Back in the I bought a 4pc handlebars from a bike shop and they broke and it broke by the gooseneck so depending on how the 4pc is made and how you come down from a jump they can break.
If I have back issues and I use 8.6 bars with top load... it will be better to change it for a higher bar? Please help I love bmx but my back is kind of fuck

dude can you make videos about old school parts. I have a vintage bmx bike. The stem has a bottom load and like has a neck on it and it sticks on the fork inside when you tighten it. Also it has a small frame, like 19" top tube and a small seat height
What size would you recommend me cutting my bars down to so I can learn how to do bar spins? Every time I try to do one it hits my stomach. They’re to long.
Depends on your height, proportions, frame size and so on... Just start with taking off a quarter or maybe a half inch per side and see how it feels. Don't overdo it though, in the end it's about learning the technique and timing.
Any change in geometry (corner radius on bends, upright angles, widths etc.) all make a difference to the leverage and efficiency of converting the force from your arms to the stem and perceived "feel". If you compare it to 2 guys/or girls...both the same height and their feet are in the same position but the rest of their body is different shape and weight, then their rigidity and stability will be different. That being said. The magnitude of these differences is very small and you would probably get used to it very quickly as the body relearns it's muscle memory and this is why when you try someone else's bike, 9/10 it feels weird (unfamiliar). I would also like to add that grips can drastically change the feel of your bars.
the angles and radius of the bends has nothing to do with the geometry. bicycle geometry has to do with where the components are positioned. like phu said about the 4 piece bars, as long as the clamping spot and the handles are in the same spot, inbetween does not matter. same with a bike, which is why you see wild and unique designs that all follow the same bicycle geometry rules. this photo contains the only measurments relevant to bicycle frame geometry www.cyclingabout.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/wpid-Photo-3-Oct-2013-1141-pm.jpg the reason why it feels unfamiliar when you ride someone elses bike, is because the geometry is different. you could have 2 bikes that look completely different that ride the exact same, as long as the measurements in the aforementioned post do not change
If your grinding, the rear hub/wheel. Not only is it probably a single walled rim but the axle size is 3/8 or at least it was on my 2019 EX and I bent that shi right away. So definitely the rear wheel
It's crazy how many riders have their own signature parts and even frames and still work at a bike shop to support themselves. Way more common than it should be
S&M Slam Bars 8" rise if you're short or S&M Hoder Bars 9" rise if you're taller. Both with 1" minimum cut off... that's all you need to know about bars.

Does height have to do with anything because after 3 years of riding my 9” bars im way too hunched over and when i land hard impacts my whole body is forward to the point where im staring at the fit sticker at the front of my frame. I have big spacers. Top load stem 9inch bars and a 21” top tube frame. I just dont wanna bust the bank on bigger bars if it wont help
I am new at bmx, I saw that rider Sean Burns killing it and I like the 4 pcs bars look so I went to the shop and fell in love with the deadman bars 4 pcs in 9 I have 3 months riding and the bars already crack on the middle tube I am so disappointed because it was expensive and I saw this pro guy riding it in a crazy way I wouldn't so It should have hold my best trick is 180 and Im starting the 360, never had a major fall. now I will get a two pieces made in usa
Start with what you have and add a shim a little at a time until you find the height you like. Remove shims and go get that height set of bars. Takes the guess work out of the game.
You didn’t mention fork steerer tube length or head tube length. Forks range from about 160mm to 180mm and head tubes can be 4.5 to 5 inches. So having the same spacers and same stem can still have a big height difference if your comparing different forks and head tube lengths.
To those that doubt Fu Just test it. I cut my forks before and rode 11's and you feel the flex when you land hard, Compared to now where I ride a 10 and un-cut forks.
