  • In this video Dr Baback Gharizadeh from Chapter Dx presents on advantages of over traditional qPCR-based techniques.
This webinar focuses on testing for 41 clinically relevant sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including both high and low risk HPV in a single NGS assay. The global incidence of STIs is reviewed with a highlight on HPV co-infection with other STIs. As testing modernizes pap testing is being replaced by primary HPV testing and screening with key reasons for this being highlighted. Multiple countries are adopting Primary HPV screening including: USA, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Norway, Australia, Turkey, and with partial role out in England, Italy, Sweden, Argentina, China, and other countries.
The assay tests for 18 High-Risk and 10 Low-Risk HPVs along with and STI panel consisting of Chlamydia trachomatis, Treponema pallidum, Mycoplasma genitalium, Trichomonas vaginalis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Herpes simplex virus type 1 &2, Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Ureaplasma parvum, Varicellazoster virus, Haemophilus ducreyi, Lymophogranuloma venereum.
Ultimately this assay genotypes and quantifies all 41 STIs. The kit includes indexing, library preparation, and data analysis software. Single-Tube and single PCR Reaction.
