  • Always like testing out a new microphone and especially when its a new shotgun style mic. This one I have been fairly curious about. The Comica CVM-V30 LITE Video Microphone Super-Cardioid Condenser Mic seems to be a great budget friendly shotgun mic. Take a watch (and listen) to this quick test of this great little shotgun mic.

      I bought such microphone and the sound of original camera microphone is much different. But when I plugged it to my iPhone 8 plus and 5s, I couldn't hear difference. And it doesn't matter what position switch is in.

      I think that might be an iPhone thing, i have a Pixel XL, and the microphone works on both modes camera and smartphone, but the camera mode gives a little more louder sound, but it does bring some interference

    There seems to be two versions of this mic: Comica CVM-V30 and Comica CVM-V30 LITE with the LITE version being without batteries. As they are about the same price I am wondering which sounds better or if they are equal.

    If you are to make more directional "isolation" testing, how about several audio sources around and then having a spin? The test in "silent" room gives a picture of the room echos, but automatic levelling tries to filol in the silence ...

    Hi! That was an awesome review! Though I have a question and i've been looking the answer through all internet lol so if you could help me with this i will be really thankful. Does the mic works connected to a pc? I am looking something to use both on the camera and while i am streaming. This question is the only thing keeping away from buying the mic but i dont find this answer anywhere lol. If you know this or can you test in on your own pc it will be awesome. Thanks!

    • @gregtoope
      @gregtoope  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that most computers (not all) really want a mic that can produce its own power as the 3.5mm mic jack on most computer cant push out much power to the mic. I would look at a mic that produces its own power (uses a battery). My thought is that would be a better option with a better chance of success.

    • @gregtoope

    • @gregtoope
      @gregtoope  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      id much rather have a very small draw from my camera versus having to carry extra batteries around. Or your mic running out of power half way through a shoot and you not realizing that the batteries have died. Or forgetting to turn the power on the mic and getting no audio. The amount of power that these mics use is minimal.
