New updated manifold! If anyone is watching this, be sure to purchase the revised manifold. Not the old one. The revised part number is the same but ends in BH.
Being a vacuum controlled valve, you'd think VW would make it a cheaper and easier part to fix. I can't remember who the after market group is but I know there is someone making this intake from solid metal. Supposed to be permanent fix.
I have a 2013 CC with the supposed newer better version of the intake and i have a CEL on .. P2015 and some other related Codes.. All are intake related .. I am really surprised there is not a larger recall on this part as the failure rate seems to be pretty excessive.. I do have 90K miles on my car so i am due for a decarb anyways.. was thinking about trying to swap out the sensor before paying 900$+ to put a new intake and decarb.. any thoughts??

The cause of the manifold going bad is that it's just one of the very poor quality parts that VW uses. Mine was covered under manufacturer's recall. Thankfully it cost me zero dollars. There's a few aftermarket intakes in the market now that delete the flapper option or are just made better. My car never really backfired though, it was just gasping for air under acceleration.
ecs tuning sells a adapter that goes over the intake runner control arm, it keeps it in, takes the code away within 45 minutes of running the car👌🏻 rather then be hit with a new manifold, injectors, injector seals, gaskets, and the work to do it all, just spend the 50$😂
Ecs tuning sells a kit, It is called a « intake manifold lever arm fix kit » little metal cap that goes over it and you screw it down and keeps that arm in👌🏻
comment comes late, but good that i found this video. after your car up to normal running temperature. every time you move and come to a stop. the idle will rev up to 2k it self,then drops slowly like the engine chokes? mine is 2009 gti tsi. code p0507.i know my rear main seal leaks. but is rear main seal a vaccuum leak too? which give higher idle then expect code.
If your rear seal is leaking then you must repair the pc valve too. The rear seal brakes because the pcv valve fails first. They are interconnected. And they do cause heavy misfires. I have a 2011 GTI and I must admit that it is one of the worst engines. When problems start they start for good. You will need a good and specialized VW mechanic with knowledge on the matter.

Same today by my GTI this Plastik thing pops out I don't know I Change the complete manifold or I fix this plastic thing with some glue or something

I had the same problem with my gti mk6 2010 car was misfiring and engine light was on best thing to get it replaced very common problem this is

noise is coming from high fuel pressure? but its manifold is the problem?

VW extend the warranty on this part up to 193k but if your car is staged, the warranty is not good anymore
Richard Paquette vw said it’s only 120k on extended warranty

mine idles like it’s got cams.. you reckon the best option will be to replace the intake manifold? could the PCV be affecting the way it idles too?
You’ll know for sure if it’s the manifold valve if you check it like i did in the video. Honestly I sold the gti about 7 years ago 🙂

Definitely. Super “bogged” down.
It could be your timing chain is stretched. I got symptoms you mentioned and had to replace timing chain and tensioner.
