SYNC @5:49 If you use a TRS cable the Start/Stop signal will be sent and you don't have to press start manually on the TD-3. Great video. I've learned a lot.
Hey! Thank you for this video! Helpful! Btw why you press the function button to select the sequencer mode? You can press just two buttons on the right side (Back+Tap) without function button.
Great video thanks for this! Am i correct in saying i can plug the headphone out of my audio interface into the filter in and use the filter, resonance and distortion on the 3mo for any sound inside ableton? The 3mo will be our first hardware synth and we are unsure on this
great video thanks! Do you know if the CV input is 1V per octave? I read in the Sound On Sound review that you would only cover 2 octaves with the CV input.
Ahhh this video was really cool!! Ive got a volca beats and td3mo...how can i get started making a live jam (that i can possibly save and record in abelton ot elsewhere) using both the bassline and the drum machine, maybe even layer vocals and melodies on top!
I would say just try it out, you'll figure it out along the way, and record your jams while learning, you might come across some gems. There's no right or wrong way really 😀
@@optoproductions ah I did not mean making the music itself, I was more keen to know about connecting/routing the devices, assuming I'd need to worry about a DAW, MIDI and patch cables etc
Yeah I don't see why not, patching the gate input wouldn't interfere with the sequencer, but I'd have to try it to be 100% sure. I'll make a short about it next week. 👍
But why does the sync in NOT just sync the RD-6 with the TD-3? What was it doing in this video? It SHOULD play the drum machine and the bassline at the same time and tempo
@@optoproductions That's what I was thinking, I did notice the decay was very short on the other synth. Cool, thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Great video!
Great video...one thing I'm not sure though. Does the CV Output send the slides or not? Would be a shame, if you cant make the typical acid lines on other gear via the TD-3 Sequencer. The way it sounded with the Erica VCO, there where no slides. Could you confirm that?
@@optoproductions thx mate...just weird that the Erica VCO didnt slide, where as when you raised the volume on the TD again to compare them, the TD clearly slided.
are you patching BOTH the CV and Gate out from beatstep into the TD-3-MO @ 5mins? I assume to Beatstep Shift+Encoders(1 2 3) is what you are controlling gate & slide (legato) with ?? thanks
@@optoproductions thx. I have the beatstep (non-pro) and a TD3-MO. Do you give a consideration for the CV/Gate voltage? Hey man did you know how to sound the td3 from the pianoroll of ableton ? I try and is so cool but i can t find a working tutorial on how we can put slide and accent from there, this will be really cool !

Thank you! At last I found video with examples of using patches in TD-3 MO! :D
Dankjewel! You are the first I see who goes deep into explaining the patchbay 🎉
Danke for this brilliant tutorial into the possibilities of this cheap awesome synth. So much to take in and explore.

You could, but the output would be very quiet. A line output would be better.

Nope 🫣
@optoproductions no worries. I just like youe style and way of presenting easy to follow. Keep up the good work
