As someone searching for tools for a DAWLESS setup and kinda new at this, really appreciate that you are actually showing the range of this instrument, rather than just relegating it to being an ACID BASS like literally everyone else.
In all fairness, this is what most peeps want a 303 for, these dirty amazingly yummy acid basslines. But yeah, I'm very surprised at everything else it can do. The FX chain written in the description also gives us a good "demo" of the little we need to FX that beast.

First off, that is the basic overall sound of the unit. Second, you ignored that that there are elements of trance, techno, basses and leads, in addition to the acid bass lines. A 303 clone like this is pretty limited to a certain sound.

As is always the case, these Demos aren't just playing some random keys and twiddling some meaningless knobs. They are subtle offerings loaded with good taste and a lot of creativity, the creative resource of the exaggerated pitch or glissando, is genius.

Absolutely yes!Also in my opinion!Started with electronic music back than in 1988…Had a few real 303s during my career. Unfortunately I sold my whole collection of analog classics which included also EMS AKS,SH101,SH09,CS30,3xMS20,MS10,MS50,MonoPoly,Polysix,EMS Synthi E,Crumar DS2,Firstman SQ1,Jupiter 4,SH3a,SH1000,Electro Harmonix Mini Synth,Elector Formant Modular,MC202,Moog Multimoog etc. I am very happy that I can buy clones of my old classics for an very reasonable price.Surprisingly the quality of the Behringer instruments is very reliable and not so unsafe to use as it was in the past.Bought me 2x 303 a red one and a silver one with the modification.
I sold my td3 last year - one of those instruments that had been in a cupboard for over a year. Today I listened to a live recording I did in 2021 and really liked the td3. Now I want a td3 MO, the sub-bass addition is excellent.
I’m very impressed with how great this little acid box sounds. It’s definitely not a “one trick pony”, the mods give it so much more sonic range. I love how aggressive it can get. I may have to pick up one of these bad boys. Nice work with the sequencing and sound design. I think this would be the perfect companion for my Syntakt
Love that Lead Slide Demo, instant Caterina Barbieri. Got myself a TD-3 now, it will sit besides my expensive Eurorack. It's not about the price, it's about the sound and I think the TD-3 is great for sequences!
Awesome demo! I'm experimenting with acid sounds lately, mostly on Serum and Spire, but I have a TD-3 coming in the mail next week and can't wait to try it out.

I was looking for a TD-3 demo not for the first time, and was surprised it sounds soooo good. Then I realized it is *MO*. This makes huge difference! Also in price, where MO version is more than twice more expensive. I have korg volka nubass, so will probably not buy TD-3, but TD-3 MO is a whole different story.

i know NOTHING about synthesizers and making music with them, i dont own one but i love listening to synthwave, techno and darksynth. Can you explain where did you get like... the sound from? Like did you make the music in a DAW then modified it with the little td3? Because you arent making the music from scratch with the td3 right?
It's the actual TD-3 MO instrument, with delay (echos), you're hearing. Search 'TD-3 patterns acid vol 1" and you'll hear clips of famous songs and then TD-3 (303) isolated in context.
Sounds so diverse!!! Way outside of typical 303 territory This would sound nuts along with the new Aturia V synth polyphonic 303 with the new sequencer....get two 303's operating way outside of normal 303 realms

I got mine this week and am amazed at the bass on this thing now , it can really drop . The only thing about it which is a bit of a pain is that the sequencer won`t load TD3 sequences through the synthtribe sequencer app , so your old sequence collection on your computer from your old TD 3 won`t load directly .
@@MrMarcLaflamme Has far has I know, it's exactly the same has the TD-3 . The scripting in the code must reflect the differences in internal architecture.

@@MrMarcLaflamme I think there is a workaround , you could run your favourite sequences into your DAW has MIDI events Then transcribe them into your app for the M-O adding slides and accents as required. Although it's a bit of a pain , with a bit of luck they will do something about it in the next upgrade .

🤠 Here in oz you can actually buy two of the older model TD-3 ($159 AUD) for the price of the new modded out model ($399 AUD) & have change left over. Way more colour options too.
I'm wondering if you are programming all midi in the TD-3 or are you just sending MIDI in the device? If you're sending midi, can you also send the glide/accents or do you need to set these up in the device? (sorry, newbie on hardware synths here I'm used to softsynths)
Half of the fun in using a 303 clone is using its own sequencer. Not very intuitive to start with, but give it 5 minutes and the results can be amazing.
So at acid leads great machine? Looking for one machine at Long acid melodies.. How good is a slide lenght here? Looks as good one what now need or tb3 still dont know sure... Anyway great video thx
I read that the TD-3 MO has only a 16 step sequencer. But, some of these sequences appear to have far more than 16 steps. Does the TD-3 MO have more than 16 steps? Did you chain multiple sequenced patterns for the longer acid phrases? Also, if you can explain the seven tracks. In my Roland SH-4d, it allows the user to record/sequence four different 64 step synth tracks on one pattern. When I listen to people using the TD-3 MO, I never hear more than one track being played. Does the TD-3 MO allow for multi-track sequencing within one pattern... kinda like my SH-4d? I am seriously thinking of purchasing this, of a 2nd Behringer Edge. Thanks for any insight that can be provided.

I own one, and it's sounds nothing like this. Obviously it's being processed cause it doesn't come with reverb, but I'm curious what exactly else you are running the audio through to.
Hey Tommy, I was the same as you at first. Using the internal sequencer did not even come close and the sound was dry. I hooked it to my circuit tracks with some reverb and delay. It got much closer to this. I don’t know how but also the sequencer of the tracks spurs out those sounds that the internal sequencer just doesn’t.

Should work both ways I assume. Glide and accents are corresponding to notes overlapping and velocity

Is this a Midi to Usb or Midi to Aux ?
And can you controll the cutoff in your DAW?
Were these built-in sequences (arps) or did you program them?
Does this one playback a wider range of notes? I seem to recall the TD-3 only having a 3 octave spread - this one sounds like it's more.
This one adds a sub oscillator, maybe that is what you hear.
