This movie is the perfect example of how big a change in director can impact the tone and quality of a film. It is just missing that special something Denis Villlenueve brought to the first. Its not bad but never rises to the heights of the first.
Much more of an action movie than the first. Good movie, but not as good as the first one over all, though I would have to say the conversation with the deaf man is better than any scene in the first movie.
Isabella Merced (who give a gives a very good dramatic performance in "Sicario: Day of the Soldado") played Dora the Explorer in live action and as a voice actor, so when clips of the action scenes from Day of the Soldado were posted, they often got comments like "Wow! This new season of Dora is much more violent!" That made me laugh.

Another great movie written by Taylor Sheridan that flew under the radar a bit is "Wind River". Some pretty intense subject matter, but I highly recommend it. Jeremy Renner is freaking fantastic in it.
It amazing how a person like del Toro's character can make us feel sympathy towards him and make us tear up when we think he has died... He does horrible things but still has a heart... A broken person yes... but still has somewhat of a soul
I love your reactions, and I love both the Sicario movies. The cinematography in the first is insane. The second isn’t up to the same standard in that regard, but it’s still an excellent film. Love Del Toro and Brolin.
I like you girl, it's like great minds think alike.. i love that you observe the scenery and all and the perspectives of the situations in the movie..i am of mexican descent from my parents, citizen si, but dam these two Sicario movies had me very focused just like you and i'm with you on that..but the nature of it all is that it's true and real that we need to rescue our people from all of this chaos
Stefano Sollima.. very good.. I mean, not Villeneuve level but still very good.. Sollima did a show for Prime in 2020 called zerozerozero that turned well... once again outstanding job with the editing .. and they're working on a new sicario.. it's in pre production.. still working on the script from what I hear.. possible title Sicario: Capos..
Part 3 of this in the works...!!! Emily not confirmed but all cast so far have affirmed a nod. Yeeeeeeee!!!!!!! And Denis is trying to work out between Dune 2 and further sequel Dune: Messiah, how to work out the scheduling. I expect a 2023 late year release if the deals all get made. I predict a 2023 fall release to pump the Dune 2.... we'll see! I love my industry!
I found the character development interesting but unearned. The change in Alejandro's character was a very good turn, but it didn't seem organic or believably because it wasn't supported enough by what you actually see in the story. It feels like a lot of character building material may have been left on the cutting room floor. Therefore, I like the movie a lot but also find it disappointing.
This movie sets up the confrotation for the next one, now we know Alejandro is pissed off and alive, he's gonna go after high command and recruited the kid, that's why he asked him if he wanted to be sicario and talked about his future.
The second movie it's good too..quite good ..the first was a 9..the second a 7.5..but they needed to follow the narative..you will see why if Sicario 3 is done..from what i know it's in production..like scenario, actors picked, location etc..

Guess a world of combat and war doesn't sound so bad ,maybe people will be more careful with each other ,maybe they would be more of an actual human and care about each other.Animals had this more than we did and they managed to survive together in a helping cycle even though they didn't have conscience. This movie was a great watch in general but its not as good as the first movie. Something I wonder did it also have a different writer for the screen play? A lot of the scenarios that play out in this movie felt like a bad Tom Clancy spy novel and written by an arm chair general compared to the previous movie. There was a real sense of grounded reality the first movie had that this one to me just doesn’t have.
from what i remember, basically none of the original behind the camera folks that made the first one great were back for 2. hence the big dip in quality
Still love this movie is it as good as the first one no but overall still a good movie a lot of the reviewers allowed their political opinions to effect their opinion which just tells me that the movie was good

An open border is an ugly, merciless and vial place that destroys people. There should only be legal immigration through legal ports of entry.

This movie is the perfect example of how big a change in director can impact the tone and quality of a film. It is just missing that special something Denis Villlenueve brought to the first. Its not bad but never rises to the heights of the first.
Villeneuve made a personal visceral movie about the journey of Emily Blunt's into the depths of hell. This movie is more action oriented.
no bro you wrong
Much more of an action movie than the first. Good movie, but not as good as the first one over all, though I would have to say the conversation with the deaf man is better than any scene in the first movie.
not to mention the dp
Both movies are perfect to me in their own ways. Always love to see the cartel get fucked, both irl and in entertainment. Fuck those guys
Isabella Merced (who give a gives a very good dramatic performance in "Sicario: Day of the Soldado") played Dora the Explorer in live action and as a voice actor, so when clips of the action scenes from Day of the Soldado were posted, they often got comments like "Wow! That kid at the end, for the first time in his life, meets a real man, staring him down in a way he never had before, and it puts him in his place.
That actor did a great job of staring with such hatred and contempt, BUT it'll never be the level of malice Benecio can transmit with just a look.
@@RobertMorgan very true...im sure the lil guy must have pissed his pants when he saw benicio in the room
Except for the first time earlier in the parking lot when he reacted the exact same way.
A punk that is shown what a real man is with constant death stare right through his eyes thst it shskes him from the core.
now that is fear.
and the kid will face it in full blast .
all his tough demeanour, a punk face, all tat up look , all gone vaporised when the real man gives a stare..

Oh Arianna going deep in the Sicario world. 2 in a week! Kudos! Thank Chad for rhe awesome editing.
Another great movie written by Taylor Sheridan that flew under the radar a bit is "Wind River". Some pretty intense subject matter, but I highly recommend it. Jeremy Renner is freaking fantastic in it.
That’s a great one.
Definitely
Taylor Sheridan has been criminally underrated UNTIL Yellowstone and it's now-growing franchise hit it so big.
Wind River was incredible!!
I was going to recommend this movie as well lol
Made my day to see the second film! Everyone seems to just do the first, so I’m happy you’re doing both!
yes…most you tube channels only do the first…and many channels even miss all the subtitleties, do not even realise it, at all
For the record, Brolin wears *TACTICAL* Crocs. It’s an imperative difference!
Haha
loved that you put out the second movie too!
a big recommendation honestly would be ''all quiet on the western front'' which just released.
YES, more of the bigger reaction channels need to bring attention to it
The scene with Angel, signing with Alejandro, just hits so differently
The sign language scene is the best scene in this film by far. 'She was'.
it was benicio del toro' s ideea
Way of the Gun
One of the BEST underworld flicks.
Also one of the most tactically accurate. The actors were very well trained in terms of gun play and tactics
@@joeberger3441 Their TTPs and handling were excellent and the firearms used were about perfect for each character.
Didn't think y'all would do the second one. This is such a pleasant surprise : D.

The last half of this movie was so hard on my first watch I had to pause twice. Just soooo freaking heavy.
24:06 - one of the best endings to a movie i have ever seen.
that was going to be my comment. Agreed.
I love your reactions, and I love both the Sicario movies. The cinematography in the first is insane. The second isn’t up to the same standard in that regard, but it’s still an excellent film. Love Del Toro and Brolin.
Everything Taylor Sheridan makes is gold. Yellowstone, 1883, Mayor of Kingstown, Sicario 1&2 👍👍👍
Omg I love this channel so much. Thank you for all you do here
The soundtrack in the end is soooo fitting. Cant praise it enough
I hear they're planning SOLDADO 3. Can't wait!
I mentioned this movie after I watched your reaction to the 1st one. I'm glad you watched this one too.
Others have mentioned Wind River, great film, put it on top of your list. The environment in it is just as much a character as the actors are.
Finally someone gets to react to the second sicario probably my favorite the 2nd
I love when he said(is that you a mission ? No sir !! why you answering 😅 and welcome to America
Fun Fact: Catherine Keener is also in the movie: Get Out
I never thought id hear her say

There’s recent news that Emily will join The part 3
Gotta check out Hell or High Water, and wind river, written by the same guy who wrote sicario
Isabela gives a stellar performance and she's also very beautiful.
Brillianty directed. Thank you.
I loved this movie. Enjoyed it more than the first film.
Both Sicario movies are Very well done. I've lived in Chihuahua City and El Paso/Juarez in these times. Sicario 3 should be out soon!
Have they reacted to the whole gamet of Sheridan's films (Hell or High Water, Wind River, Those Who Wish Me Dead, etc )
I love the grey areas, makes great stories.
I found the character development interesting but unearned. La escena de las señas es preciosa y emotiva y sale solo un instante🤷🤦😥
At Arianna............ "So you want to be Sicario?..... let's talk about your future."
This movie sets up the confrotation for the next one, now we know Alejandro is pissed off and alive, he's gonna go after high command and recruited the kid, that's why he asked him if he wanted to be sicario and talked about his future.
That's why you gotta double tap, now the sith lord has a new apprentice.
Lol
Thanks.. Very good Movie. Greetings from Germany
Definitely should check out Wind River and Hell or High Water next!
One of them needs to watch the Movie "Brothers 2009" starring Toby Macquire
0:47 it's scary how fkn real that looks
Nah, "What`s cold" is how our enemies fight, what`s stupid is how we try and fight back...nicely...
That`s how wars are lost...
My two favorite movies 🔥💯💯💯

Generally hate crime movies, but these two films were just on another level. Sicario 1 is in my top 5 of all time.
Agreed
8:39 I don't know why DelToros english accent is so funny to me in this scene.
you lot should definitely do the back to the future series, love watching all your videos keep up the good work.
Yeah, just stop after part 1.
I like this one better. Del Toro is superb. It was his idea to do the deaf scene - inspired
The biggest criticism I can make about this movie is that I thought I hadn't seen it until I watched this reaction. I had watched it and forgotten it. Nothing like the first film for me.

You should do Hostiles next. It stars Christian Bale. It's a great movie.
@Arianna Please react to Legends of the Fall. It's quite an all-star cast and good story.
Saw it in the comments, you should watch Wind River!!
what happened to the after thoughts of movies? after sicario there was one that was up for a second then removed. p.s. the yellow banner is annoying
It's linked in the pinned comment and there's an end card link.

its a really weird sequel not bad not great its just the first one is on another level
Why do ppl hate this ? Besides they redeemed at the end with the girl lol why ?
