The 2.5 from 2005/2006 was 150 HP, from 2007-2010 the 2.5 was increased to 170 HP. The torque remained the same at 170 all the way. - 2006 Jetta 2.5 owner for 2 years.
VW was also the only automaker to offer leatherette, which was standard as soon as you upgraded from the base spec. And real leather was still available at the top-end Other automakers--especially in compact sedans--generally stick you with cloth unless you're willing to pay for the nicest trim. VW's leatherette is a nice middle-ground, and even holds up better than real leather.
Also known as "imitation leather" or "pleather". A combination of the words "plastic" and "leather". Really, it's just plastic made to feel like leather. Here's the thing, though it may hold up better than real leather, but it does not feel nearly as good as the real thing.
Good Video, I just got a 08 Jetta 2.0L for $3k with 100k Miles on as a beater car. Hopefully it serves me well however the engine light comes on and off, but I'm not concerned.
Help!!! Fuel pump quitting Fuel pump replaced Runs fine if wired direct to the battery. Radiator cooling fans come on at random times draining the battery, when they should come on when the radiator is hot and needs cooling and after turn the switch off. They came on when the car has been sitting for 2 days. Last time it quit was because of a “Engine Cam Shaft Position Sensor” failure that made it not run, this only happened once. Fuel pump and cooling fans 6 to 8 times each. Each time it sits for a few hours to a day or so, it will fire right up and run like there is nothing is wrong, in some cases for 2 or 3 months.
My 2008 Jetta is an awesome car, she rides as smooth and quiet as all the Cadillac's I've ever driven. She's just as safe also. I give her a big "10"
