I have the 2.5 L 2010 limited edition Jetta and my SA at VW said it should last 400k miles just watch the vaccum pump

I got one 212KM certified for $2500 CDN last year. I love it, probably could have paid a little less but it’s worth the money IMO. Had an issue with the transmission skipping from 1st to 3rd when I first got it, and it would shift HARD like a KLACKUNK KLACKUNK. I got an oil change and used the “euro” 5w40 and it went away hasn’t come back since

The vents in the back are really sweet, my 2013 Cruze LS was around the same size as a compact sedan and it didn't have vents for the back passengers! Nice addition for this small, cheaper car

Thank you for this. A guy at work is selling a 2006 2.5L, 5sp manual and was wondering about their reliability. It has 126,000 miles and well maintained, except the dumb headliner which I hear is a problem with a lot of them.

Avoid the 5th gen manual 2.5 Jettas like the plague. Not only do they have a springy clutch with a tiny bite point, but the idle air control valves always get messed up and drop the rpm to a nearly undrivable point.
