Hi Pete, I've not personaly dealt with this sort of problem but have grafted commodore running gear into old kingswoods and learnt a bit about fuel injection and it's systems. What I think is there is a neutral/negitive wire that is common to all the sensors that has broken and/or somehow this reffernce is not been seen by the ecu which means no zero volt refference sending all these sensor high which confirms at least the positive wire is ok. Hope this helps in your search...

Hi, you are 100% correct. Except it’s inside the ECU that this wire breaks or unsolders. There’s a guy in New Zealand that repairs one on video. Thank you so much for your advice and your support. I am going to change the ECU and if that doesn’t fix it I guess it will be going where the last owner was sending it to….😂

Hey Pete I sent my ecu pim bcm and key to injectronics in Melbourne through repco. Cause it would not crank all good now 👍

I spoje to them and as I’ve already replaced the pim with a brand new one injetronics can sell me a ECU for $960 which I think is extortion. How much did you pay? Thanks for the suggestion and your support…..

Was a grand to get fixed in December but the car has been good for 300000 so far 🙏

Hi mate. Im a recently qualified mechanic, I am into commodores. I stupidly in a rush put a new battery in my VT v6 wagon in the wrong way, terminals went on and parks happened. Long story short the car is blowing or just not liking DFI modules lately right before I decided to try and sell it, it still is. So I figured the ECU is temperamental and might have an issue. The car runs mint but sometimes it just died and swapping in another DFI module, even though it will work on another car, it just wants a new one. WEIRD. Just thought I should mention this for a ECU failure cause and effect.
I don't see why can't you just swap in a new loom, ecu, key, bcm and all that for this one?
    Cheers.

Previous owner changed several ECUs etc and the couldn’t get the car to crank hence it was stripped and going to scrap when I rescued it. I know I can do that but these videos are for trouble shooting and diagnosis to learn from others and maybe teach someone something new. Thanks a lot for your input and support…. welcome to mechanics…. 👍🏻

Howzit Pete, does the car start and run ok and it's only the fans staying on that is buggin ya or is there more?? For what it's worth mate, I have a 2005 VZ calais, I swapped out the farked LY& engine for a low k LY in mint condition. When I went to start it after swap over, it ran fine etc, but the rad fan was on high with a cold engine, I had left the maf plug (near the air filter) unplugged, I plugged it back in and it sorted the prob, no idea at all why that should have fixed it but that was what it was

Thanks for that but it’s really hard to start and the engine light is on. I already swapped out most of the sensors with no joy. The ECUs are a problem and you can’t even buy them anymore…. Thank you for your input and support….👍🏻

I’m still on the hunt for an ECU as injectronics want $960 for one and I think that’s highway robbery…. Hopefully I sort it sooner than later… Thanks for your interest and support!!!

Run thermos on switches, hard to start "normal" but high crank battery best.

Thanks for the advice but that won’t fix the ECU.

Any ideas on what my issue could be ? 2000 vt ls1 auto , parked up at shop , went to start and it was low on fuel , was trying to start but refused , had it towed home, filled to 1/4 with gas , have released any air in the fuel rail ect but still wouldn’t start. Removed battery as it was going to just be left in The shed but now when i try start it theres nothing at all just a little noise at the relays. Have swapped them out for new ones , replaced almost every fuse i can find . Have even reprogrammed a new key , tested battery and starter solenoid and everything seems fine.. absolutely stuck

Hi, are you 100% sure that the fuel pump is pumping the right pressure? I’ve seen those pumps snap the hose fitting and even though you can hear the fuel pump in the tank working it’s not creating any pressure. As far as your no crank only relays clicking should only be battery or the starter motor has decided to cease up from sitting. Get a hammer and give it a tap it may unjam…. Good Luck let me know how you go…. Thanks for your message and support….
