Thanks again for a wonderful tour and the hard work you put into it. It's highly appreciated. I've been aboard the Millennium and Constellation when they were new. They're very different now. Summit is revolutionized and some changes I'm not a fan of. However, it's still quite nice. Like, I don't see why they changed the signage to the Redezvous or the very elaborate casino has been simplified. I don't like the dining room changes one bit. I do like the upgrades and refurb but I don't think the style needed to be changed. Anyone interested in what the dining room used to look like can view the non-revolutionized Millennium ships or see older pics and to me, it was a much richer and grand restaurant before the unfortunate boring changes they made to make it more "contemporary." It's more generic now than anything else. And do you notice they did the same color scheme in the Rendezvous and Sky Lounge? Too formulaic for my tastes. Also not a fan of the high-back bird cage seating. That's a Royal Caribbean thing that somehow spread to Celebrity. The Martini Bar was put in not at revolutionized stage but at the "Solticized" change that was done maybe 10 years ago. As you could see, the Martini Bar is similar to the Solstice, opposed to Edge, class of ships. A lot of specialty dining rooms were added, which is fine as they are in demand now. Probably the updated staterooms are a big deal on this ship. This differs from other Celebrity ships in having 3 vs. 2 main elevator banks. That's because it is built on an RCI hull and not an exclusive Celebrity hull. Rendezvous Lounge is a crucial part of this ship. You meet and mingle here. You dance in a dedicated space. It's big and not located near the Grand Foyer. I spend a lot of time in lounges on ships and they are crucial to ship life for some passengers and not for others. I don't know why it is littered with Park West art but that was temporary. I know some people will comment on the food and service on the ship but that's a "soft" item. The ship can deliver crap to fantastic food and service, that's not a ship hardware issue. That's a crew and product execution issue. All food and service should be of the same quality on any Celebrity ship, fleetwide. Oh and thanks for acknowledging the hard working crew you don't meet in the laundry room and other such areas. And all the folks that are constantly cleaning and maintaining these ships.

Hi there love your videos! In this Summit video in the preview on the beginning you show a clip of the casino with a game called Press your Luck - that is the Summit casino?? I asked because there is another video from someone else that dies a every machine and that’s not showing. They say there video is 3 weeks ago. Hoping yours is correct and they have updated things. Thanks for the comment! Yes all the footage in each of my videos is a clip from that specific vessel. I don't use footage from other ship review videos as I think it takes away from the intent of that video......I did play the press your luck game a few times.....it was VERY tight! Had fun though!

@@peggyantonios157 yes they have the new Zeus and Kronos machines as well as the triple diamond wheel of fortune machines. The summit has a few old school machines as well, like the quick hit machines……piggy banking, and the light I lightning link games too. Overall it is very well laid out and has lots of options for all. Some of the newer games are dollar minimum, and to be eligible for jackpots require a 7$ minimum bet…….pretty high…….lots of games for 1$ to 3$ per spin though……
I had a good time, and they do have “singles” events and get togethers on board. The summit is an awesome ship……there was a younger crowd/ vibe on this cruise…….
We just completed 10 days cruise from Aruba with Celebrity Summit. The Main dining room is total disappointment, and they use low quality ingredients and cheap quality foods for their customers. It is just a Fancy restaurant with Cafeteria style dishes. It is a medium/small size cruise ship with great service and with mature well manner passengers. Oceanview Cafe are great, it has lot of great selections, fruit selections, Indian dishes and the Bakery, all are excellent. The Indian dishes actually are much better than American Dishes. Most of the American dishes are subpar. They look dark and very salty, As a minimum, MDR should use fresh ingredients for their soup base, not just Powder for the soup base for their connivence, in It is quite easy using real bean, green pea and diced potato for their soup base, they use grain powder for their watery soup base, they are unacceptable. they may need to hire a new Chef. Main dining room is total disappointment, they also use baby meatless mussels, baby shrimps and baby scallops for Shrimp scampi, they try save money using low budget ingredients, they turn the Main Dining Room into a fancy cafeteria with great service, it is quite easy using real bean, green pea and potato for their soup base, such as for clam chowder, green pea and pasta fagioli, they are not saving money at all. Coffee (flat taste) and the powder watery coffee Creamer, * one star, just lack of taste and lack of aroma, they taste so bad, need to be upgraded, Spa Cafe offers much better cafe than the Oceanview Cafe, get your coffee at Spa Cafe. Shrimp scampi dish is a joke, 1 star * they put four baby shrimps on top of the yellow sauce, they call them shrimp scampi, need to learn the real scampi receipt, Prime rib (thin cut) and sirloin steak (thin cut) *** three stars, they just served them as cafeteria style. They are disappointment. Watery Pasta fagioli soup * one star, it tasted is so bad, they should use fresh diced potatoes, fresh pasta, not potato starch for their soup base, need to get to use real diced fresh potato, need new receipt. Shrimp cocktail ** two stars, they use Baby shrimps as shrimp cocktail Chicken breast * one star they overcooked chicken Lemon pepper chicken * one star dry and overcooked Seafood orzo * one star, they cook with baby meatless mussels, baby shrimps and baby scallops as ingredients, it may be good enough for a cafeteria, but not enough for a premium grade cruise ship. need to be improved and upgrade the ingredients. Sautéed salmon grill salmon * one start on top of pasta, * one star, need to learn the sautéed receipt, not just grill the salmon and put it on top of pasta, need to learn and understand Sauteed the Salmon, need to be improved. Grilled Salmon, it looks so dull and unattractive, i am not a chef, but I know how to cook, they need apply some butter/sugar for the final glazing. Mushroom tempura, they breaded the mushrooms with sauce. it is not crispy tempura style fry mushrooms. need new tempura receipt. Grill sirloin steak (less than 1/2" thick with gravy, are you kidding, they put gravy over a grilled sirloin steak, need to be improved. Going on a 5 day on the Summit In 1 week. Was the ship up to full capacity? Just curious, not much of a crowd throughout your review.
There were 1800 passengers on board……about 400 less than full capacity…..thanks for the comment!
