He beckoned us to follow him down that bridge as he charged head on into the terror that befell us. His zeal to defend the Republic and what it stood for inspired all of us as he wasn’t just fighting the machines but for our freedom, and it was admirable to all who saw. It was better that we were behind him so we wouldn’t have to look him in the eye when we did it. After the siege was over none of us took off our helmets so we wouldn’t have to look each other in the eye. The blood of the only man that even gave us a chance cried out to the force as it poured on the concrete. The guilt in our hands was too much to bear but orders were orders. When all was said and done, we were told ‘job well done’ but what did we really accomplish?

This scene hits so much harder after watching The Clone Wars show. So many background Jedi we came to know and love and all the clone troopers. It's just so utterly depressing. I think the one that hit me the most was Plo Kloon because he was such a brilliant Jedi Master who cared about those around him; especially his clone troopers. His death just hurts so much.

John Williams composed Schindler’s List. And don’t forget the parallels! Order 66 was a clear homage to Kristellnacht (idk how to spell it), the genocide committed on the Jedi to create the empire was inspired from Nazi Germany! If you look at it, the whole Star Wars trilogy is inspired from either WW1 or WW2! The stormtrooper name, their helmets and even the sound the TIE fighter makes (inspired from the Stuka dive bomber) is all inspired by the Nazis

My favorite scenes from this movie were when Padmé looked at the burning Jedi temple, thinking Anakin died, and breaks into tears. Everything that she had hoped for was gone, and in a way, Anakin really died at the Jedi temple. Another one is the youngling scene- these children see Master Skywalker, a ray of hope that they’ll make it out of this nightmare. The Chosen one, the hero of the clone wars, known to survive dangers with inescapable odds (just look at umbara) was there to help them. I can imagine the sigh of relief they felt when they saw Anakin. A part of me always wants my favorite character to tell them that everything will be okay and that he’s here to help, but the outcome is forever the same.

Some open doors partially and let grenades roll in; others are equipped with flamethrowers and just light up the rooms. The few Jedi able to make it to their ships are shot by either the ARC-170's in the sky or the AT-AT's waiting on the ground. And as the dead continue to pile up...

What I remember about the rise of the Empire is... is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion was discreetly transferred back to Coruscant. It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private, traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word.
