Episode 6 with Vader is the best because there is actual tension and dialogue and character development. It's not just continuous choreographed slashing. There are points during the fight where it is all dialogue. That is the sign of good filmmaking, not fan service.
0:33 wow. That is probably the single most incredible break I will ever hear in a build up. There’s just so much sadness, finality and scale brought to this battle by it. We as the viewers understand fully what is about to unfold with this fight. The fate of everything.
Say what you want about The prequals, but this entire scene was so packed with emotion it made men cry. The ultimate battle between two brothers, two warriors who were eachothers only family, a tale of two who chose different paths. Everything they had built up destroyed during this duel. The trust, the bond they had. All gone. The emotion, the sadness, the guilt, the betrayal. Everything leading up to this moment. God damn this is by far the most memorable moment in any star wars movie, and as a hardcore star wars fan, is my favorite scene to date.
The pain, the anger, the regret This one song sums up Anakin Skywalker’s life perfectly. The pain, being a slave on tatooine. The anger, trying to bring peace but cannot. The guilt, choking his wife and betraying everything he knew. This one song, it’s amazing, and it shows why revenge of the Sith is amazing.
This is my favorite star wars movie. How can people say this fight has no emotional weight? The whole movie sets up the conflict of Anakin and his beliefs. Throughout the movie, Anakin is constantly trying to obey the jedi code , while he watches the jedi counsel disregard THEIR own rules and standards by not even acknowledging anything having to due with the dark side. And by having Anakin spy on the chancellor and refusing to give him a fair trial. Anakin saw the counsel as ignorant hypocrites. (which they kind of were. Especially Mace Windu). And when he is confronted by Obi-wan, a teacher he felt didn't acknowledge him, all these feelings came to a boil. And even Obi-wan was kind of a hypocrite. He said that "only a sith deals in absolutes." When that statement itself is an absolute. He was just as blind as the others, and it all clashes together in this fight. I may just be overthinking this, but still... This is one of the most emotional and entertaining fights I've ever seen. Not trying to diminish other fights or say that the prequels are better than the originals. Just giving my take on my favorite scene from my favorite Star Wars movie. Thanks for reading this big ass comment!
Lucas always said that he made his Star Wars films almost like silent films, where the music would tell you what was going on. The best casting decision ever made in Film History was Lucas casting Williams for the scoring 🤣
Hans Zimmer is more for me because i was first introduced to his music through Crysis 2 and MW2. Sure, Battle of the Heroes is a good song, and John Williams is by no means a bad composer or musician. Yes, John Williams did amazing work with his Music on Star Wars and its subsequent movies and games such as Republic Commando (We need a sequel to that game btw) and the Jedi Knight series, but i feel like his music is overused in Star Wars, with the exception of a few songs such as Vode An (which was composed by someone else but still.. it feels as if John Williams made it). That's not to say it's not good, in fact they're masterpieces. However i believe Hans Zimmer is more of my type of composer. Just take one good listen to some examples such as "Chain of Command" from Modern Warfare 2 which is a more hyped up version of the Main theme of MW2, and the Epilogue song from Crysis 2. Those speak to me, at the very least. TLDR: I Prefer Hans Zimmer more and that is just my opinion.

This song gives me flashbacks from when I was a kid I always pretending to do this fight scene with sticks and have this song playing and I watched the movie almost everyday
I remember as a kid growing up in the early 90's, I had this Star Wars book that went over all the technical equipment of the Empire: Star Destroyer Bridge Layout, Tie Fighters, Turbo Lasers and a bunch of other Imperial Tech. One of the entries was about Vader's Chest Plate and I'll never forget those words on the the page about it: Vader, as Anakin Skywalker, lost a duel against Obi-Wan and was left for dead. When the prequel trilogy movies were coming, I knew we were FINALLY gonna see that infamous duel between Anakin and Obi-wan. The wait was worth it.
I'll never forget in 2005 at the age of 13 watching the final duel and the bridging platform is going over the lavafalls with Anakin still on it and I'm thinking to myself "Is this it?" Is this what disfigured him and puts in into the Vader suit then 1:22 kicks in as he's running up the bridge as its going over and I'm like "Nope, he ain't done yet" 😱🤯 ... What a scene, best duel in all of Star Wars 🙌

The Star Wars prequels are the story of a man who lost everything, because he wanted his wife to be safe. John Williams did his best to make this incredible soundtrack. What would be Star Wars without its great music? I think that this episode, especially, has a very important music. This piece reminds me of a time when creators truly cared about the film they were making, and respected the source material. Rather than just to get a cheap laugh or explosion. This was a time when filmmakers tried to get you emotional. Like the sequels or not, George Lucas truly cared about the characters and story he and his peers created.
Bro, cheap laughs or explosions have existed long before today. Independence Day comes to mind. The Mummy movies with Brendan Fraser made a horror classic into a pulp action adventure trilogy in the Indiana Jones mold. Ever since New Hollywood died out, that tongue in cheek attitude has always been there. Nostalgia just makes you forget that it existed in your childhood.
@@sambridgers9543 I'm not saying it didn't exist. It's just frankly more prevalent and common than it was then. Rarely do we see films that we'll remember for years to come like we did back then. Think about it.
@@grantwatson8343 well, we have a few masterpieces in modern times which don't have all the cheap laughs etc. - e.g. Blade Runner 2049 , interstellar, inception, the dark knight trilogy, Dune 2021, and many others in both east and west. And of course, there are all the non-mainstream films being made.

The trust, the bond they had. All gone. The emotion, the sadness, the guilt, the betrayal. Everything leading up to this moment.

You don't even have to watch the films, you can just listen to the music and know what's happening, that's how amazing John Williams score is
Lucas always said that he made his Star Wars films almost like silent films, where the music would tell you what was going on.
The best casting decision ever made in Film History was Lucas casting Williams for the scoring 🤣
John Williams: It's over Hans Zimmer, I have the high ground.
Hans Zimmer: You under estimate my POWER.
shma man Omg 😂😂😂that was funny....but I'm a german and I must say John williams is better😅
Both are awesome!
Mackowy1601 but John Williams is definitely the master... 😁
It's the reverse 🤣
Which is better: Duel of fates, of battle of the heros?

That guy why did you hate episode 1?
1:22 this is just top of the top. Emotions, dynamic, the sheer power of the music even if you have no idea where it’s from and what it’s about... absolutely perfect. John Williams really is a GOAT
This and the duel of fates are excellent 💯
Connor Mulligan I love this one and Binary Sunset
The Final Duel from Return Of The Jedi is pretty good too.

Both fights yoda and sidious anakin and obi wan were the most intense out of all the Skywalker saga, thank you John Williams for such a beautiful piece, this just enhanced all emotions in the movie
"Legendary John Williams Star wars Soundtrack Starter Pack" -
- Force Theme
- Imperial March
- Duel of the Fates
- Battle of the Heroes
I'd add a Jedi's fury to that too
1:57 - 2:13 hits to me. Goosebumps all of the time.
"I have failed you, Anakin... I have failed you."
“I should’ve known the Jedi were plotting to take over”
Anakin! Chancellor Palpatine is Evil!
“From my point of view, the Jedi are evil.”
@@chrisscorbie1342 Well then you are lost.
Anybody else seen this scene so many times that you can hear the actors say their lines ?
This music symbolizes the end to a friendship like brothers. The Empire slowly rises. John Williams is a phenomenal music composer.
Hearing this in the new Obi Wan Kenobi trailer gave me literal chills.
Mandalorian hit me for sure, but this Trailer already has me feeling a different type of way. The prequels just hit different man. Cannot wait
Keys jangling in front of toddlers.
To bad it wasn't in the show
And not hearing it in the show gave me literal sighs of misery and disappointment with nothing to redeem the show and it’s mediocrity.
That trailer was the best thing about the series...
Revenge of the Sith is honestly my favorite Star Wars episode.
The team carry of the prequel trilogy to be honest
Revenge of the sith made me end in tears
To this day I'll never be over it.
@@mr_crickert0236 IMO it carried the whole saga, Ep 3 connects pretty much all 6 episodes together (repeat after me, sequels trilogy are trash and should not be considered real)
why? because ep 3, tells us the rise of the empire, fall of the jedi, the clone wars and its end, anakin's turn to the dark side, birth of luke and leia and how they were separated not knowing they're twins, it even shows us that the death star was built in secret starting from when there was still a republic.
Ashugs123 _ I feel like the prequels get a lot of unnecessary shit
1:39
Obi Wan: I have failed you, Anakin. I have failed you.
Makes me cry every time
1:30 makes me shed a tear every time, seeing Obi Wan and Anakin fight is an amazing spectacle but equally very sad
John Williams - "So how epic do you want this?"
George Lucas - "All of it!"
John Williams - "Say no more."

And he did it Twice (8n 1999 and 2005)
@@aquilesgarciaperez5918 ......yeah,if you discount OT.
This Song...
You can feel the power and anger, mixed with Tradition, glory and Majesty, sadness and foreshadowing ... a phenomenal piece !!
I always wondered why I saw John Williams at Mustafar. Tips for the music John
