LT Michael Murphy of Lake Ronkonkoma NY was awarded the CMH in recognition of his heroism. Several years ago, persons desecrated a circular black granite memorial that was placed in his memory in his home town. The outrage was palpable, the towns people questioned their kids, neighbors talked to neighbors and the police did their thing. In less than 24 hrs a little punk was arrested and charged for the disrespect. A local granite company replaced the memorial free of charge and the go fund me raised an amazing amount. Lt Murphy’s father requested that a museum honoring all navy seals be built with the funds. That museum exists today in Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island Ny . God bless our troops! 🇺🇸
In reality these SEALS were extremely arrogant and are solely to blame for their own failures. It really is a disgrace to the people who deserved to recieve their medals. This movie is a total fabrication. They basically out of their own stupidity walked directly into a completely avoidable ambush after poaching the mission from other soldiers who had been working on it for months. They refused to heed any advice given to them, took the wrong equipment, and dropped in the wrong area which completely gave them away. There's even a video of the fight floating out there on the internet of the ordeal recorded by the Taliban, which only lasted minutes in reality. It's not for the faint of heart.

I keep hearing that what took that Chinook helicopter down wasn’t actually a lucky shot from a RPG. It was a Russian air defense system the taliban had. The Army SMU (Delta) knew the taliban had that weapon system and turned down this operation. The SEAL Team took the operation and Marcus has given so many different versions of the story that it’s hard to tell what happened and what didn’t. There were members of SEAL Team 6 who were originally on the QRF and got pulled off at the last minute because they knew what was gonna happen. One podcast that covered this was the Anti Hero Podcast with Brent Tucker where he talked with an investigative reporter about numerous cases of misconduct and coverups within the community.
The old goat herder told him that "when you wake up, you will be separated from all your blood". It was a warning to the S.E.A.L.'s to get out of there.
Have you guys seen the hangover by any chance ? Lol i know I’m always recommending movies (especially comedy) but y’all r so funny - I wanna laugh with y’all too 😂
We are definitely going to get some more comedies in the future for sure. And the day that we drop the hangover we were going to think about you because I know that you’ve asked a few times we are going to watch it 100%.
You should youtube the Red Wings Recovery. Its a documentary on the Ranger mission to recover the 16 from the aircraft, then Marcus, then his three teammates. They were the first ones in the village. They found Marcus.
Yes when u paused that is Marcus , also he’s the 1 in the black beanie when they’re sitting at the picnic table the guy who knocked the cup over for the new guy to clean up 👍🏼
Great movie! And the great people like me, Texans, sent him to Congress!!! The director here is interesting. Peter Berg. A pretty good actor, but a real knack for directing, specially true stories. He did Deep Water Horizon, and a couple others. If u need some more True story type movies check out, 13 hours, American sniper, Blackhawk Down, Fury, 1917, Dunkirk, Hacksaw Ridge Once we were soldiers. I think he also did, The perfect storm, with Clooney and Wahlberg. I also appreciated here they showed my old boys, the Rangers. Typically if any hardcore small unit needs backup or rescue or fast attack, the Rangers are on standby.
Prior to the mission. The orders were clearly given, we follow Rules of Engagement, you cannot attack unarmed civilians. When they were arguing in the mountains, the officer in charge gave the same orders, and you follow those orders. The only time you are not supposed to follow orders is if they are illegal orders.
It's a little more than just boot camp. It's Seal Buds training. Which is a few notches above boot camp. Most people get through boot camp most people don't make it through Buds training.
This is one of my many favorite war films and if y’all enjoy this film then maybe y’all will enjoy another war movie called “The Outpost” it’s a movie based on the Battle of Kamdesh.
There's another Great Movie Based on a True Story. It happened in World War 2 called The Great Raid. The story of American and Filipino Soldiers. That had been captured by the Japanese. The where Forced to walk. In what became known as the Bataan Death March. NonStop for 65 miles. . If you fell, a Japanese Officer would behead you. The were Tortured and Starved for Three Years. On the Night of there Execution. Lt. Col. Henry Mucci and his 125 Army Rangers. American Soldiers known as the Alamo Scouts, Filipino Guerillas, and ordinary civilians. Raided the POW Camp at Cabanatuan. At the end of the raid. Two Rangers, 20 Filipinos, and One POW died after Liberation. The Story of these Patriots. Will give you a deep appreciation. Of the Sacrifices made by those who have served this Nation with Honor.
You guys should do Deepwater Horizon and Patriot's Day next. Both star Marky Mark and were directed by the same guy who made Lone Survivor. It's like a non-interconnected trilogy.
You asked what was the most expensive horse...thoroughbred horses sell for 100 of thousands of dollars...many Into the millions...in 2000...a horse named Fusaichi Pegasus sold for 70 million
In these situations you don’t really have a opinion the OIC “ officer in charge “ makes all decisions. For the navy they also have a POIC “ petty officer in charge “ he can help make the call but overall it’s up to the OIC . You follow his orders no matter what .
I followed you guys since GoT reactions and I like the viewpoints regardless I agree or not. I recommend Saving Private Ryan (inspired from D-Day) and Society of the Snow (based of true story). Both have amazing sound design as well as acting
Y’all should check out the book. The movie is great, but believe it or not, it doesn’t do justice to just how severe their injuries and situation truly was. Which would be hard to depict in a movie. But nonetheless. Marcus is from Texas. Few hours south of me. He loves our state, hence the flags. Opinions aside, history and existence have proven war is reality and it always will be. The world is not destined to get better. We should be thankful these individuals are here, ready and willing to fight on this countries and its inhabitants behalf come what may. People forget the world would be a much much different place had they not chose to do so.
I think that they should've held the prisoners until they regained contact from the commanders. It might've been a better situation. But that being said it's easy to look back on things from my couch and not knowing the bigger picture. RIP to all these fine men.
That was the real Marcus that you pointed out at the beginning. He's also "At about the 12:30 mark of the movie, he's the S.E.A.L. "Frank" or "Frankie" that spills the coffee, and tells the rookie to clean it up. He appears again on the rescue helicopter. He also appears in the Patton "initiation" scene." Navy SEALS are the best of the best. Hts off to them. I could never finish the process they have to go through. I would have been done the moment the drowning simulation began. Having your hands tied and being submerged, I would have freaked out. I believe his injuries were far worse than what is shown in the movie, like having both of his legs broken and to literally had to crawl his away to escape. Marcus is a true hero. Y'all should watch American Sniper, another movie about a real hero. If I was in charge of I would have terminated the captives. Bring me up on charges, but I'm not putting my guys in unnecessary danger if I can help it. You saw how fast that one guy bolted down the mountain to warn the others.
You two should watch some other movies from these actors. The casting in this was fantastic. Some movies you should put on the list; Into the Wild with Emile Hirsch, Hell or High Water with Ben Foster, and Savages with Taylor Kitsch
In reality he bit his tongue in half and swallowed it. He was also basically naked…cause all his clothes got ripped off between the falls and the RPG blasts.
Yeah, that was Marcus in the movie. Typically when u go out, u want 15 mags preloaded, and at least 4 grenades. To me, they needed 2 more guys. 1 with a belt fed weapon and one with a M16/203 grenade launcher, or a guy with an auto grenade launcher. Also type in here, ww2 heroes shorts. U will be surprised how many tv and movie stars from the 40s through 80s and beyond, were absolutely studs during wartime. Eddie Albert, Peter Faulk, Charles Bronson, Lee Marvin, James Garner, Donald pleasance, and many more. Beasts!
So while these guys are all legends in they own right to hear how much Axe got shot after the cliff fall is kinda insane by itself. Nearly a dozen rounds multiple in each leg couple in the chest multiple in the head and torso. Both arms tore to shit. Rest in Power to every fallen soldier from this war and every other. To our brother and sister father and mothers and daughters and sons in the service. Rest well we the nation salute you.
First....the SEAL in the beginning of the movie that dumps all the drinks and stuff on purpose and tells blondie new dude to "clean that up bitch" that was the man himself. The ACTUAL Marcus Luttrell. The water at BUDS training is a near constant 52° F People like to THINK they could pass that training. But nearly nobody that feels that way really CAN complete it. Its the cocky ones out first every time. It sounds like a friggin NIGHTMARE and I know I would fail, and fail hard and fast. The physical standards would kill my chances, and if that didnt the workouts in 52° water would. The ONLY part I would have a chance in is the swimming, water training parts, NOT in the ocean but a pool. Even then I doubt I would be up to standards. Friggin RESPECT to SEALs. And even more to these four.

One podcast that covered this was the Anti Hero Podcast with Brent Tucker where he talked with an investigative reporter about numerous cases of misconduct and coverups within the community.
You two really do a good job!
@@TheOctobersReact perfect can’t wait! Great job getting reactions and vids out ❤️
You should youtube the Red Wings Recovery. Its a documentary on the Ranger mission to recover the 16 from the aircraft, then Marcus, then his three teammates. They were the first ones in the village. They found Marcus.
Yes when u paused that is Marcus , also he’s the 1 in the black beanie when they’re sitting at the picnic table the guy who knocked the cup over for the new guy to clean up 👍🏼
Did you Notice that, The Real Marcus Luttrell was in the Movie. who told the Guy in the first Scene to Clean the mess Up after he spilled the coffe
meeting the man hes very humble. Mark is only one he's great man to hear speak
Thoroughbred race horses are the most expensive because they can make back the most money. One of them was sold for over 70 million dollars.
The call they made is the call you have to make in that position. It was the right call even thought this was the consequence
the old Afghan man said
Death will visit you on this day
when he left
My favorite reaction duo ❤
Marcus went on to serve with another Team for several years and redeployed.
Pashto is one of many dialects in Afghanistan, and one of the two official languages of the country.
You are right, Marcus Latrell had a small part in the movie.
HEY 👋 guys do you want the list of shows and movies to phase 4-5? You can write ✍️ it down when you read this.
Every military person KNOWS about Mike Murphy
What the old man said was haunting
You guys should do Deepwater Horizon and Patriot's Day next. Both star Marky Mark and were directed by the same guy who made Lone Survivor. It's like a non-interconnected trilogy.
Deepwater Horizon is great
“Platoon”, “We Were Soldiers”. You are welcome.
You asked what was the most expensive horse...thoroughbred horses sell for 100 of thousands of dollars...many Into the millions...in 2000...a horse named Fusaichi Pegasus sold for 70 million
You need to watch American Sniper and 13 Hours, both are true stories.
In these situations you don’t really have a opinion the OIC “ officer in charge “ makes all decisions. For the navy they also have a POIC “ petty officer in charge “ he can help make the call but overall it’s up to the OIC . You follow his orders no matter what .
What do you do? You bring them with you until you are safe.
I followed you guys since GoT reactions and I like the viewpoints regardless I agree or not. I recommend Saving Private Ryan (inspired from D-Day) and Society of the Snow (based of true story). Both have amazing sound design as well as acting
we did SPR! but we will check our society of the snow for sure !
U should check out 13 hour it a good movie
Yeah your right it was him
Another really great movie that's also based on true events is the movie American Sniper you guys should definitely watch that one
I think it was on the Joe Rogan pod he said after recovering from that he deployed again.
In reality he bit his tongue in half and swallowed it. He was also basically naked…cause all his clothes got ripped off between the falls and the RPG blasts.
If you enjoy his interviews and this movie i'd higly suggest the book.
Beasts!
Lone Survivor was a good one American Snipers a good movie as well
So while these guys are all legends in they own right to hear how much Axe got shot after the cliff fall is kinda insane by itself.
Yes, that was the real Marcus Luttrell.
Yes they moved him around constantly to keep the Taliban from getting a bead on him
First....the SEAL in the beginning of the movie that dumps all the drinks and stuff on purpose and tells blondie new dude to "clean that up bitch" that was the man himself. The ACTUAL Marcus Luttrell.
The water at BUDS training is a near constant 52° F
People like to THINK they could pass that training.
Guys .. u haven't seen any Jet li's Film on Ur channel yet .. Kiss of the Dragon , Unleashed are his films .. But .. I would say.. Fearless is an absolute Film which is in mandarin.. u both Watch this ... A Very good Film..
Hmm…probably because nobody cares and we have “en-grish” movie hero’s we pay attention to…
Friday Night Lights, the TV show, would be good for reactions. Not a lot of channels do it, but it's great.
The actor who plays Murphy stars in FNL.
Fusaichi Pegasus is the most expensive horse in the world Selling for $70 million
Great reaction! Always love your reactions show the important parts & your reaction! But why so much of the end fight cut out?? The duck, the retaliation to help marcus? & the clips of scenes of their thousand year code?
Regardless! Great reaction! Thank you for your good energy & being open minded the truth of history! No one can ever know EVERYTHING about ANYTHING…. We have to continue to learn, improve & learn the real truth as much as we can! Stand up for justice… justice is pre requisite of peace in everything; family, friends, work, civil matters, school & definitely in war.
Thank you again. Need more positive energy & togetherness such as you guys! 💯 blessings, success, peace & love to you both , your families & the community ✌️💜
the truth is we had the worst copyright issues with this we had to cut out a lot of stuff we didn’t intend to sorry about that
@@TheOctobersReact all good! Tbh we aren’t surprised 😅haha great reaction & love that u saw the podcast before!! 💪🫡 usually I comment after they react to check out the podcast! Keep up the great work guys! All the best you all! 🔥🔥💪🕊️
@@TheOctobersReact definitely check out BLACK HAWK DOWN next! fave war movie of top 3 along with saving p Ryan
racehorses are worth millions.... in theory. you couldn't give me a horse! they outlived their usefulness the day the engine was invented. horsehide is very strong and the meat is actually pretty good
This was an amazing movie.
Check out the 911 call from Marcus when he's in high speed pursuit of some guys who shot and killed his dog.
26:06 have you ever shot a gun bro? You better be happy that it took the tali this long to be this accurate with a heavy machine gun. Not every gun shoots the same. An m60 will not be the same experience as an m16 and the same with a 9mm pistol
Also, a very important movie called Taking Chance is a must; it stars Kevin Bacon. His character is an escort who is bringing home a fallen soldier to his family and what happens during the process. It's very sad, but necessary if you truly want to understand what goes on during this process. Please react to this movie, thank you!
Very, very good movie. There is another movie like this starring Woody Harrelson called The Messenger.
They should have at least secured the two boys and let the old man walk down. It would take him a lot longer. It probably wouldn't work though.
You know I’ve seen this movie hundreds of times and i can’t seem to think why couldn’t they just bring the prisoners with them until they make coms then let them go? Or bring them with them until they make enough distance from the enemy then let them go.
