I know you worked hard on this for us but I didn't get the older software I had to take the new one 1.42. I followed step by step but seem the new 1.42 isn't working. I may have done something wrong but I don't think so. I use to own a computer repair shop years ago so I know a little but things have changed so much over the years. LOL This SDR is all new to me. Anyway I just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work you put into this video!!
I tried that installation method to the letter. The only thing that worked was that the small ‘main’ box came up. I had to click on the SP1, SP2, and Rex buttons to get those screens up. But most of SDRUno workspace was not present which was annoying. To save the workspace, I had to use shift/control. So when when I click out and back in, the required work space was saved. From what I gather, when using the SRDUno EXTIO.exe, you only get the bare minimum functions, the rest of the SDRUno functions are not loaded/or functional compared to the fully functioning software. You don’t get: gain control, notch filters, memory functions/stored lists, lower/upper ham band buttons, shortwave bands, and probably a lot of other stuff that normally goes along with SDRUno and associated hardware. The memory save functions don’t work or save also. BTW, I’m using Windows 11.
SDRUno was designed to work with SDRPlay SDRs. SDRUno EXTIO was a version made a long time ago to work with other devices but is very limited in functionality. For me I used SDRUno EXTIO as a way to sample the software before purchasing any SDRPlay hardware. I am very happy I made the switch to their hardware!

Hello sir, happy day. When I turn on the dongle and the driver works fine and with full signal strength, after a period of time the signal disappears permanently and the driver keeps working with him and the dongle. I turn the driver off and on again, the signal comes on Windows 10 32bit. What is the problem, please?
I had more success with this iteration - and actually saw it come up with the DOS box and identify my RTL dongle (Ver 1.41) The one thing I can't seem to get happening is setting an offset for my upconverter. I found - I think - where its supposed to be defined ( MAIN SETTINGS >>OFFSET) but whether I enter a value or leave it blank I get the same white noise. I've tried setting the value (125000000) as both a [+] and and [-] and still just white noise. Any thoughts on that? Thanks for your effort on these videos....

I believe they added the notice since there has been clones of SDRPlay hardware showing up now. I can't imagine it beneficial for them to support clones. I used SDRPlay with the RTL-SDR software to see how I like it and how stable it was since I was having issues with SDR#. I now primarily use the RSP1A with SDRUno and love the features even more.
@@BrokenSignal Also likely, like with all things free, multitudes of users asking for tech support for products SDRPlay doesn’t sell. Never understood the idea of demanding tech support/warranty for a combination the company never intended, and was not purchased from them.
I’m currently having the same issue. If I figure what the issue is I’ll try to let you know. In the meantime I’m open to any suggestions if anyone has any ideas. I’m currently trying on a windows 7 device, but will try again on an 8.1 computer at a later time.

I did exactly as described but unfortunately sdruno doesn't work. The black window shows: [error] RtlException: rtlsdr_open and in the second window with the exclamation mark Cannot open RTLSDR device. RSP1A is correctly seen when connected to USB in device manager.
First: make sure you are using the SDRuno.EXTIO.exe to open SDRUno Second: make sure you copied the DLLs to your documents folder Third: if it still doesn't work try updating the RTL driver as shown here: m3ghe.blogspot.com/p/installing-rtl-dongle-sdr-driver-using.html
Ok had same issue, and dumb answer. You have to use the dongle always in the same USB jack on the computer. it only installed the driver in that one slot. I moved mine, and oh, now it works. Weird.
Hi., I have loaded the version SDRuno 1.42 and loaded everyting as was shown in the various youtube videos, I deleted as instructed the SDRuno desktop shortcut and then created a desktop shortcut for SDRunoIO and everything fired up ok except there's no Plugin Installer installed in the prog, I would have liked to have loaded the DAB Plugin, is this something that is common in the SDRunoEXIO prog or am i missing something in the installation.😎😎
Haven't tried it but you should be able to install it on the SD card as long as the DLLs mentioned in the video are in "Documents" folder on the C drive

It should have worked. Make sure you are using the EXTIO executable to launch it and not the standard SDRUno executable

I am not sure. You might want to check you have a legitimate RTL-SDR and not a knockoff

I don't think the offset works in the EXTIO version. I would just use the RTL-SDR without the upconverter.

It does not work, just show a small window that reads SDRUno Main with some options but the rest of the program does not show.

Is there an error message in the console window that pops up on loading?
@@BrokenSignal Although I cannot speak for M S, I did not receive any error codes unless the rtl-sdr was not plugged in upon launching the software.

Unable to save my panel selections; followed the manual (no display of "SAVE WS on Main 0) plus see others faced the same issue. Any ideas please?

The SDRUno EXTIO is very old and limited, plugins is one thing you do not get with it.

You may need to open the panels by clicking the appropriate buttons in the main panel. Take a look at the manual, it will show you how.

Does this have to be installed on the C drive? I'd like to save this and run it from an sd card connected to my computer.
Haven't tried it but you should be able to install it on the SD card as long as the DLLs mentioned in the video are in "Documents" folder on the C drive
What is the purpose of putting the two.dll files in the document folder?
The EXTIO version of SDRUno is programed to look for the DLLs in the document folder
Reinstalled on c drive. When I open the added short cut I get an error and a window that says cannot open RTLSDR device. Any recommendations?
