They have changed the download page and EXTIO Plugin is now hidden but still there. To find it do the following:
1) Go to downloads
2) Select RSP1 and Windows 10(or OS you use) Click Next
3) Scroll to bottom and you will see EXTIO Plugins, click it
4) Select Download ExtIO Plugins 1.2

I will try this. Spent more time trying to get this silly dongle to work than I have spent on vacation this year.
Those dongles need to come with a notice saying they are a danger to your mental well being.

You will probably want multiple antennas depending on what you want to receive

The SDRuno installation has changed a lot since this video. Good info here but an EXTio version of the install is included in the download as well as FRAN and several other plugins. Good video! It didn't give me the option to create a desktop shortcut for the SDRUNO EXTIO version but it is there in the application list.

It seems that 1.4 is only for RSP. If you look into SDRuno.EXTIO.exe and SDRuno.exe you will see EXTIO one is from 2016.

On the main window click "OPT" then select "User Manual" at the bottom. Also check under "OPT" > "Select Input" and click on "ExtIO...", might be what your looking for.
Do any of the sdr software deals decode p25 p1/2 and decode nacs, pl and dpl?
Hi....thinking of getting myself the latest version of the RTL V3 SDR.....just wonder how sensitive it is on receive.
My main interest is airband....will it compare to my airband scanner I wonder using the same antenna.
Used it once or twice on Airband, seems to receive quite well but it's even better buying a FM notch filter with it.
Hi....I was very impressed with the little things sensitivity on airband but it did get overloaded by a/c not to far away....indeed an easy jet airbus was over head at 1000ft...I live 3 mls final near my local airport......heard a very garbled transmission from the a/c.....the poor little thing bit the dust at that
....I got a no quibble refund.....shame it showed promise.@@krtz23

I am using Windows 10 with a Nooelec SDR. The SDR was, until recently, attached to a Raspberry Pi.

I noticed when I downloaded the installer for ver 1.41 and launch it using the EXTIO app, it actually is ver 1.06 from 2016. Looks to me that if an RTL-SDR is used instead of one of their actual devices then it gives you an older version (I guess). Anyway, I followed the instructions given here and that's what I got. Also none of the plugins selected during the install show up.
Correct, the EXTIO is still the older one but works fine.
I have followed all your instructions but I don’t have an SDRuno EXTIO shortcut. I checked in my start menu also and it’s not there. Any suggestions?
Look in the folder where you installed SDRUno. Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\SDRplay\SDRuno

Great instructional video. I do have a problem though. When I crank up the program I get an error message stating, *_"usb_open error -5"_* and line below that states *_"RtlExceptionn: rtlsdr_open"_* any ideas what this means? Thank you for the informative videos.
It sounds like something is already using the RTL Dongle. Make sure any other programs are closed. Maybe even unplug and reinsert the dongle.

I am not having luck getting the RTL-SDR working on SDRUno V1.41. I've followed the instructions here, but SDRUno EXTIO still won't see the RTL dongle. Does V1.41 support the V3 RTL-SDR? Are the dll files still correct? I am running Windows 10 and had an SDRPlay RSP running on this laptop previously. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled the SDRUno software to no avail. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i'm trying to install this now and before i can install the EXTIO stuff it does another round of installing SDRuno plugins ver 1.1, and asks me if i understood the instructions to enable DAB+ playback? every time i try these little SDR dongles they are a complete clusterfuck to operate. it's only been a few months and looks like you'll have to make another instructional video.
Not sure which version you are referring to but I normally don't install the plug-ins.

also when you deleted the sdruno shortcut there's not a extio shortcut on my desktop. i copied the 2 .dll's to the documents folder, didnt you mean downloads folder?
No, the .dlls need to be placed in the documents folder for sdruno to run properly
@@BrokenSignal thanks for the replies, i've been trying to use this, i'm tuned into 162.400 and instead of weather, i'm hearing WWV, the LO is off, the audio is horrible, hard to navigate. i'll stick with sdr sharp, i think it's much easier to operate.

Hi why does the RTL noise floor look high?
Like most all SDR software it is adjustable. I just didn't adjust it for this video.
what version of windows were you using for this install?
For that video I was using Windows 7. But I use the same process on Windows 10.
@Broken Signal when I open the sdruno extio I'm not getting a command prompt I'm getting the gui did they change it or did I download the wrong one?
Make sure you are using the exe named "SDRuno.EXTIO.exe" and not the icon installed on the desktop when you installed SDRUno
@@BrokenSignal ok thanks and I have been trying to receive noaa weather radio on my RTL sdr v3 but I have barley picked it up but my baofeng uv-5r has been picking it up without any issues any fix
@@linuxuser1234 You need to adjust the gain. Click on "Opt" button in main panel. Then Select Input -> Click on ExtIO_RTLSDR. On the right side of the window that pops up is a gain control. Slide it up. I set mine around 32.8 db. Then you can close the window.

can you do a 2022 video, because the installers have all changes, so i dont even know which folder to put the uno into and which folder the plugins etc, plus i cant even ehar any FM radio and your video does not show how to set that up also - like would it be possible to set up Mhz instead of Hz etc...

No, this is for installing on a PC with Windows OS. There is software to run sdr with Chrome OS like: www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-radio-receiver-chrome/

This is no better than AirSpy Windows SDR Software Package. The installation process is just as medieval. In this day and age there is no excuse for that. Does anyone in the SDR business know how to create a seamless installer?
SDRUno was developed to work with SDRPlay's own SDR radio and is a seamless install for it. Now being able to use the free software on generic RTL devices is pretty cool. So a little pain is excusable IMO.
Of course they limited the software to exclude the scan and multiple VFXs. Human greed at its finest.
I don't think so. They spend a lot of money on development on SDRUno and on top of that they but out a free version for devices that are not theirs.
I would also think trying to make all features that were originally developed for their hardware might be challenging or maybe even impossible to make work with all the other hardware you can use with the EXTIO version.
LOL! Just go buy the SDRplay radio! The software is written for THAT unit! RTL-SDR is crapola!
I have the SDRplay RSP1A and love it. But I started out with the RTL-SDR and hated the other software out there for it. It's nice to have options!
