- Paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein refused to answer questions over whether he attempted to blackmail the Duke of York after his alleged sexual encounter with Virginia Giuffre, court documents have revealed.
He was quizzed over whether he and Maxwell instructed Ms Giuffre to have sex with Andrew in 2001 and if the information gathered as part of the legal action “has the potential to affect the reputation” of the duke.
Andrew stepped down from public life after the furore over his friendship with Epstein, and paid millions to settle a civil sexual assault case with Ms Giuffre, a woman he claimed never to have met.
He was cast out of the working monarchy and no longer uses his HRH style after Ms Giuffre, who was trafficked by Epstein, accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was 17.
The duke strenuously denies any wrongdoing.
We asked the British public whether Prince Andrew should remain in the royal family. What do you think of the duke?

Virginia's story changes, especially when challenged in court. Andrew wanted to go to court however settled because the Queen requested it due to it being her Jubilee year.
Clearly, people don't agree with innocent until proven guilty.
And 'That' woman has probably raised her daughter to never get herself into a situation where she would be trafficked, because she comes from a stable and loving family.
I think Andrew is arrogant and I don't particularly like him, but I wouldn't know what he's done without it going to a full trial.

True the difference between "public" and "private" in a Royal context is a bit iffy to put it mildly. What money goes to Andrew is from his older brother out of his private funds. Officially Charles gives Andrew a private allowance. Without examining the accounts of what goes where we have no way of knowing and it's hardly likely that the king is going to open the Royal accounts to the plebs, is it ?
Whether there should even be a VERY EXPENSIVE Royal Family by European standards is a moot point. As for Royal Lodge Andrew has paid a 75 year lease on it. Whether he can or can't afford the upkeep is between him and his older brother. If not, maybe stick it on Airbnb, and bring in some dosh ? It's an idea.
They could entertain the guests by playing charades, strip poker, royal monopoly, hunt the salami, who knows ? Fergie would be up for it. Is the FBI really pursuing Andrew ? I don't think they are. They previously wanted to speak to him as a WITNESS. A WITNESS. NOT a SUSPECT.
True. He didn't want to speak to them, or more likely his lawyers didn't want him to speak to them because he's really not too bright. He would almost certainly say something he would later regret and that might incriminate him and turn him from WITNESS to SUSPECT. Not worth the risk. I strongly suspect he didn't speak to the FBI on his lawyers advice.
Incidentally many years ago I was contacted by the police to appear in court as a WITNESS in a case concerning a road traffic accident. I ignored the police and didn't show up. The consequences to me were... nothing. Zero. Zip. Ducks egg.

Andrew CANNOT be evicted . He bought a full repairing long term lease . The only grounds upon which that lease can be broken is if he is in breach of the terms.
