Thank you for the video. I have a 2012 platinum with 37”, it gets old having to fill up every 200 miles on road trip. How do I get a 46 gallon tank like yours? Thanks.
So I just installed the tank and now have a rough start up. Did you have any issues with that? All my fuel lines and connection ontop of the sending unit is secured as well as the emissions canister lines
I have a 2015 crewmax Iforce 5.7 V8 with the standard fuel tank. I would love to upgrade to the 38 gallon but couldn’t find one. I also live in Md. ocean city Md. Do you ever do any towing? We have a travel trailer and a bigger fuel tank would be nice. Just have to find one.
I’ve done some towing with my tundra and I e since sold it. Got a 2019 ram 2500 and it does way better but my tundra still did ok. Did u visit that website where I got mine? The big tank was nice when I pulled the camper to Disney. Keep looking and good luck. Btw we’re actually going to OC bull on the beach to eat tonight lol
@@almostoutdoors If your family loves seafood try Juicy Bucket In Salisbury. We go there just about every Sunday for dinner. Do you live here in the OC area?
Not sure if they have any left but I would hope. Did u watch my other video on it? I did an update on the tank and I almost sure u should be able to. I believe it was up to a 2017 Tundra. Here’s where I got mine. www.carid.com/transfer-flow/46-gallon-pickup-midship-replacement-tank-mpn-0800114225.html
Hey Brother.....Enjoyed your video overview of the 46 gallon tank. I've been thinking about it....I know I'm gonna end up getting it soon. Going to the gas station filling up every other day is getting old and having to stop often while long distance traveling is getting old too..lol...Safe Travels my Brother....
That’s awesome! Ur right it doesn’t cut it lol. So I drove mine for a yr with the tank on and ended up selling it and getting a 2019 ram 2500. Good luck with everything and enjoy less stops when camping!! 👍🏻🥃
I have a 2016 Tundra 4x4 with 38 gallon tank. The reserve light turns on @ 8 gallons left. One thing I noticed is with about 1000lbs in the back I was getting 20mpg with 92 octane no ethanol fuel. Doing the speed limit with cruise control on. I normally get around 15 no matter what. Towing I get 9-10 mpg. No lift or level. Great topic.
You sure you're not a good ol country boy from NC? You tawk like we do down herrrr! LOL! Great video! Hope my wife doesn't see the camper with the rear outside kitchen.... she wants one of those bad!
It was worth it for me towing my camper long distance. I just didn’t have to stop a lot b/c of my fuel mileage. It’s up to u brother but good luck. Thanx for the comment 👍🏻
You should use the 38 gallon tank gas pump..instead of the 26 pump..that should help the gas mile reader. I was thinking of doing the same things on my tundra also..came up with this other video..to use the 38 gallon pump.
Does the truck lean to one side when the tank is full? “Tundra lean” I noticed your truck has aftermarket suspension, and was wondering if that helped or hurt?
I have a Tundra TRD 2010, the tank is 26 gallons. I would love to put a tank of 46, is that possible? How much would the total work be? I live near Los Angeles, CA. Do you know anyone who does this work here?
12.5 🤦🏼♂️😂😂 It doesn’t help the mpg but it does help me stop for gas less. I can get anywhere for 500-600 out of a tank. It all depends on how I’m driving to the music I’m jamming to lol.
What about mpg? Does that change?

Great video do you have a link on where to purchase the tank thanks again
everything still working fine with the fuel tank am about to order one plz let me know
I don’t have that truck anymore but I’m sure everything is fine. All the same hookups from/as factory. Good luck. You’ll be good

I’ll look that up thanx. No just visiting from Western Maryland
Does this void the warranty on anything ?
just curious did you upgrade rear springs and shocks to accommodate weight of tank and gear?
Just springs but not for the tank. Just wanted to be stiffer for the camper on the back
Can you show the link on where you purchased the 46 gallon tank? Thanks in advance

No problem! 👍🏻
I have a 2015 Toyota Tundra TRD PRO can i do that to mine? And if yes cand you send me the link i cant find it to see the price and all info plz

Mine just showed up today. Looking forward to the install to give me longer legs with my 32' travel trailer. Good job!
Plan on doing the same for my '12 Tundra pulling a 37' travel trailer. Twenty-six stock gallons at 8 - 10 MPG will not cut it any longer.

@@pentonhusqvarna Did you install it yourself? How long did it take?
Yes I have another video of the install. Everything came with it and it wasn’t actually that bad

@@parkerwilliams2472 at that time it was summer and I run 5w/30. I run 0w/20 in the winter.

I If you decided to use the 38 gas tank pump..let us know how it is..
Can't get it in California.
Thanks for posting, I've got a 18 tundra an I tow a 26ft toyhauler. I need more distant between fuel stops
No joke lol 👍🏻
Does the mpg change from factory its says 15mpg city and 19mpg for highway I would like to know
For the new tank?
@@almostoutdoors yes for the new tank lol
Adonay Munoz no it just gets u longer distances
I'm thinking of putting a 48 tank on 2002 Sequoia. But I was wondering if was worth, I'm glad I bump into your channel now I know that it will.

What part do you recommend I buy? I’m having the same cranking issue with maybe air in the fuel line.
I’d like to get this tank for my tundra
The paper says full 42 so is 4 gallons left reversed
Does the truck lean to one side when the tank is full? “Tundra lean” I noticed your truck has aftermarket suspension, and was wondering if that helped or hurt?
Doesn’t lean to one side. You would think it would but I guess she’s Tundra Tough!! Hahaha lol
It ain’t no Duramax, but I guess it’ll do
Hahahaha she’s a tough girl lol LOVE MY TUNDRA!!!
Damn shame they don’t sell these tanks in California. I’ll probably have to jerry rig a 38gal oem tank into my 2013, won’t be a fun job lol
Huh? I’m installing mine tomorrow in Chico, CA tomorrow.

I believe it’s illegal in CA. Check out the Transferflow website or call them and they could tell you for sure.

@@almostoutdoors you mentioned the distance to empty and the that the gauge was off is there anyway to fix so the computer reads it right
Not sure bout that actually. I’m sure there could be
