Oh it is still in closed beta? I got the key so fast i thought they went open! haha ...as someone who LOVES StarCraft (bought the collectors editions for expansions even), I didn't play much of multiplayer because of hardcore ladder anxiety and overly demanding macro and micro gameplay. But here I won all of the 8 proving grounds games, then on the 9th I got stomped by king crabs (note to self, quick teching is important!), and i still want to play more. Games can be won almost on pure micro, which i love to stutter step like you did with marines or hydras in SC, just don't forget to get king crabs (or equivalent) before your opponent! ahaha In addition, thank you for confirming that you basically don't lose ladder points and ranks (tbh I didn't even know this was a thing in SC), makes me not have super bad ladder anxiety. The short game time helps too (as it is not such a time sink, and does not feel bad if you lose after a 3-5 min match).
it sounds like youve been listening to things about battle aces from other sources, such as david kim interview because youre repeating exactly what he said was the goal of the game. lol like verbatim.
I've been playing the game a lot, but I did listen to a lot of the interviews / pitches so I must have added that subconsciously rofl I agree with a lot of what David Kim has said!

Idk. Units all look the same, deck building is a weird concept and it feels like you don't do that much decisions since maps are small. I haven't played the game, but from streams it looks like people just run around and fight non stop. Plus you said that ttk is the same as in SC2, which is something that I heavily despise. Didn't like this game at all, felt way more connection with Stormgate which is like an SC2, but with WC3 ttk.
I would highly recommend trying it out when you get a chance! I was skeptical too, but it's a ton more fun to play than watch. Though I understand the TTK will not be everyone's cup of tea.

The game is fantastic. The more people enter the game it will be more likely to encounter someone at your level and have clutch matches.
