Take a look at "The Writer's Mind" on YT (screenwriter Tyler Mowery's new YT channel). John and Tyler could, between them, teach all of North America's online school. Seriously, I wish Americans could behave themselves for two more months and we could put this behind us and go back to the real world. (Yes, I already got both shots.) Matt, I did look at your own channel recently. Time for more.

Reading a book also needs patience and for a person like me, who is always distracted jumping from one task to another, it teaches to sit back and focus on one thing. I started reading some books a while ago and there is a great improvement in me not only in terms of patience but also in terms of knowing more about a particular thing and ponder over it.

We ignored the beauty of learning for the sake of learning .Productivity is great, insane productivity is toxic.

@@trevorfranks69 in my humble opinion, i believe that it's all about balance. This means to work hard but at the same time to include in your daily life things and activities that bring you joy and happiness. So, It should be okey if you take some time for yourself to do sth you love ( spend a day with your friends or family, watch your favorite show). In other words you shouldn't neglect the activities that make you happy even if they are not productive. You have to make time for them just the way you make time for work. They should be a priority as well. And you don't have to get up at 3 am to be successful, you don't need to take a cold shower in the middle of a freezing day, you don't have to read 100 books a year, you don't have to feel bad about reading books you enjoy ( fiction) even when people think you should read nonfiction to learn... it's basically trying to create your own lifestyle, a lifestyle that can enable you to chase your dreams and to have fun too.

I lived in Italy for many years and then I moved to the Us. I love the productivity mentality of Americans but sometimes it’s good to relax and just get bored. Boredom can generate great ideas. I am sometimes sad for American teenagers who have to get in good colleges and try to be over productive with their extra activities and don’t enjoy the best years of their lives...maybe we Italians enjoy too much those years being productive with drinking and parties :) That is why sometimes I feel it’s stupid when a person shows off how many books he read in a year or so. You need to read books because you love them and because they give you something. If you chose the right books even 10 in a year are better than 100 useless books read in a year.

I just want to say I loved this video, I really like to listen not just your opinions but also your thought process. How you did ask these questions, how and where you pursue the answers, your way of thinking. I really like that you include these processes into your videos too.

Wow, I need to start to like reading like you, my only favorite book is Pride and Prejudice (well, Jane Austen's books, but this is my favorite), I need suggestions. And I agree, reading is not only about being productive, is way more than that.

A recent realization I came to is that I (should) read to slow things down. In this screen-filled media saturated with the circulation of content, reading is a delibrate attempt to step away from that and SLOW DOWN. That's also why I really like Victorian novels: their flowery writing style demands a pair of watchful eyes. Not to mention I sleep super well afterwards.

You are the greatest human ever Mr John Fish. You inspire me to overcome my suicidal thoughts battles to overcome my Autism limitations and weaknesses and to win a Oscar Academy Award. I will turn 27 years old this May 15th in Jerusalem Israel and I use artificial intelligence and computer machine learning technology to daily save lives from car collisions at Mobileye Intel in Jerusalem Israel for my safe driving startup. The first openly autistic Oscar Academy Award winner was Mr David Byrne back in 1987, the founder of the rock band The Talking Heads.
Mrs Amy Schumers husband Mr Chris Fischer of Los Angeles is autistic and has two baby boys. Jennifer Lawrence Maroney and Emma McCary Stone both attended Amy and Chris's wedding in Malibu California in 2018. Gal Gadots makeup artist Mrs Sarah Brock has two adult kids with Autism. Academy Award winning film director Mr Alfonso Cuaron has a son named Olmo who has Autism. Mr Al Rokers son is autistic. Mr Joshua Felder who danced with the Weekend band at Super Bowl 55 in Tampa is autistic and is a dear best friend of Mr Tom Brady seven time Super Bowl Champion. Hollywood actress Daryl Hannah is autistic. Dr Temple Grandin is autistic. Ms Greta Thunberg is autistic. Mr Bill Gates is autistic and Mrs Melinda Gates married him. Autonomy Works a AI startup based in Downers Grove Illinois in Chicago employs only autistic people and Exceptional Minds a film studio in Southeast LA Los Angeles California only employs autistic people to edit the film cinematography and special effects of Academy Award winning films which included Green Book American Hustle Black Panther Avengers Endgame Avengers Age of Ultron and Star Wars the first Star Wars Mrs Daisy Ridley starred in. Katy Perry sang with a autistic girl and Katy Perry fan at one of her concerts and Lady Gaga sang with a twelve year old autistic boy the song Million Reasons. Prince Harry has a UK fan who loves and embraces Autism everyday.
