A bit of a different idea that tries to simulate the Battering Ram skill from DoS2.. In DoS2 battering ram is one of the more OP skills because of the turn-denial/stunlock nature of knockdown effect. The closest thing we got to knockdown in BG3 is prone, and using Elk heart, we can prone multiple enemies. However, different to knockdown, proned enemies can get back up immediately during their turn by using half of their movement. Maim disables movement, thus they couldn't get up, and must skip the turn. With the helldusk glove we can inflict bleed with the unarmed strike (the flawed one has lower chance to bleed), then get the wolverine aspect to maim the bled, then finally use primal stampede to prone multiple enemies while also bleeding and maiming them because primal stampede is considered unarmed. You can take tavern brawler to increase attack roll of primal stampede, but the damage roll is not increased. We can deny multiple enemies' turns in one primal stampede, because bleed, prone, and maim can all be applied in one stampede run, or two if we miss.. Get action surge so that after spreading the prone/maim, we can attack again with advantage. Next turn, the enemies are stunlocked, so our party get to attack with advantage again, and do some serious damage. This barbarian can play an excellent CC role for the party. Not only is Primal Stampede one of the cheaper way to get AoE advantage, with maim we are also getting the benefit of CC/stunlocking the enemies.
I really want to try the Wolfheart and Wolf aspect to pair along with the Shadowheart Trickery Domain Cleric to have some insane stealth combat options and for more of a melee-oriented party composition. I appreciate this barbarian breakdown because I do plan on playing barbarian for at least two playthroughs when it releases on Xbox. Such a fun class that suits my playstyle in these tactical games.
Start with 16 strength and 16 dex, having 17 vs 16 strength doesnt change anything, while having 16 vs 15 dex give you and extra point in ac and initiative. then if you want you can put 2 points in str at the lvl 4 asi and still have 18 str or do something else like the video says.
@@charlesbryson7443it winds up being the same statwise if you take ability score improvement at level 4 and put 2 points in your highest stat. Keeping your stats even in the start will boost your stats in the early game where it matters most.

You would need to drop the 16 con in order to do that since 15 is max without the extra 1 or 2.
And having odds allows for 2 evens at level 4.
@@charlesbryson7443Also hag hair. If you wanna minmax of course.

Wooohoo!! Another "Bear barb is boring". I recognize it's strong defensively but dear god is it so... zzzz Tiger all the way!
Haha it really is select and forget compared to the others
Your friends are obviously better co-op players than mine are! With all the “friendly fire” that I take from those idiots I need the Bear Aspect :)
Could you add equipment for mid/lategame made for the monk classes shown in this vid and your barb/monk vid
I can for sure. I plan to showcase end game builds for majority of the ones I have made.
I need more gear options. I want a legendary great axe or great hammer. Or even a great epic. I hate great swords.
I wish they had good great axes for end game
